  1. Hi Is this chest piece still available as Medium (or Adaptive armor)? It's the one that the Basic Gear vendor is wearing. Can this be obtained anywhere in the game for Marauders? Thanks
  2. 1. I think people see my Sniper as a squishy aggro magnet that tends to "roll for cover" near the next group of enemies 2. In a party, I love my Sniper. Lots of fun, cool rotations and variety of abilities, very well balanced, very high DPS too though. When I solo with my Sniper, I hate it. Same feeling when I go 1 on 1 in PvP, although that is not as frequent cause I can adjust this through playstyle. Questing solo is a problem in comparison to other classes due to low(er) survivalability.
  3. 1. I think the majority of players don't understand that Shadow tanks (my spec) can be main tanks as well as Vanguards and Guardians. This idea goes away when they play with me but I constantly see this in others that I haven't partied with yet. Thankfully, not everyone thinks like that. 2. My Shadow tank is my main character. Unfortunately, of all the balancing changes you have made, this one's was the only ones that made my class less fun to play. I fully appreciate and agree that you need to balance classes and I don't need to do "10k damage with 1 hit" to enjoy a class. But since the 2 major nerf bats, I don't enjoy it as much anymore. I don't feel particularly weaker and I can happily adjust my playstyle. Please understand that when you balance a class it is important that you preserve the fun factor. You changed shadow tanks to a very boring class in comparison to what it was.
  4. 1. I don't know how others see my Mercenary. I only play solo with this character. 2. This has been the only character with whom I managed to solo ALL heroic missions going from 1 to 45, including some Flashpoints. I did Heroic 4 missions 2-3 levels above the mission and flashpoints 3-4 levels above the flashpoint level. Normal missions and heroic 2 were a breeze. Tough, self healing, high dps, ability to kite and shoot, healer companion "from day one"... the ideal solo character to level up (maybe with tank assassin/shadows).
  5. 1. I think healers like my Vanguard due to her high damage reduction. The damage she takes is consistently low with very little spike damage. I guess the lack of an "OOPS" button to save you against certain death is required or it would be overpowered against Shadows. (I can't compare to Guardians as I don't like that class ) 2. I love my Vanguard because she allows me to do the things I need to do as a tank comfortably. However, she is by far the most boring character to play. The way the abilities work and the low variety in abilities used during a fight, combined with low DPS and low speed of attack makes it extremely boring. Maybe the fact that she rarely gets into a real spot of trouble "helps" in creating this feeling of boredom.
  6. This text was a copy/paste from the Sentinel thread so I am removing it. I play both classes with same spec so there is no need to post twice. Sorry
  7. 1. I think others see my Sentinel as a really high DPS party member that can also support/buff the group a bit but will always be a second choice after a ranged DPS character due to mission design that favours ranged DPS - same in PvP. 2. My sentinel - even though it's not my main character - is by far the most fun to play class for me. The speed it moves from enemy to enemy (or I should say from dead enemy to dead enemy) is extreme fun. I could use one more single target stun ability but overall I am happy.
  8. What the titles says. Happy to see this as an option in Preferences, if there are people who want to keep it as it is. But generally, it is very frustrating when you press on an ability and because your target died 0.1 seconds before you clicked the button, auto-target targetted the controlled enemy and you have just woken him up. You've already implemented smart abilities like Slow Time - which in another thread I suggested to extend to more abilities like Force Breach and to companion abilities. This suggestion falls in line with the same principle: making the game more user friendly, hence more fun.
  9. Even without the double buff, strength is always better than power mathematically. That little extra crit, plus the dmg you get from Strrength will always be better than the damage Power gives - this is for the current state of the game and only as theoretical maths. The double buff and the fact that crit 'weapon damage' attacks can't be shielded in PvP make strength even better.
  10. I just wanted to say here that I hate how complicated it becomes to figure out on your own what stats to use. Sure, you can say "add your main stat, you can't lose". And sure, I can also do the math needed for most theoretical calculations. But I shouldn't have to dammit! Why would they create such a complicated way to build a character that requires a calculator and a few hours typing in numbers in Excel... Before I did all this, I spent so many expensive ingredients to craft Power augments, then I did the calculations and got so disappointed... Such a punishing game. Anyway, back to the topic, Str > Power always. Even if you have "enough crit" you will always get even more Crit with Strength which, in conjuction to the damage boost that Strength also get, will mathematically increase your damage by more than if you had the equivalent Power increase. EDIT: I could be completely wrong about this but if I remember correctly, crit hits cannot be shielded. If I am right about this, Str becomes even better than Power. If I am wrong, please ignore this
  11. Similar to another thread I posted about Force Breach becoming "smart" to help tanks the same way Slow Time became "smart", can you also do the same for all companion AoE damage abilities? I understand that this is not something you would do for player AoE damage abilities, but players can judge and not use these abilities on Controlled enemies or just place them where they wouldn't "wake up" the controlled enemies. Companions are not that smart though, so instead of us having to switch those abilities off completely or risking them waking up our controlled enemies, I think they should all be made "smart".
  12. My character sheet is 99% of the times on showing stats. This means opening the sheet, clicking on the appearance button, ticking/unticking the head slot, and pressing Esc. Everytime I want to change appearance. Definitely not what I am looking for. They should just move that checkbox outside (and smaller).
  13. I love the change in Slow Time so that it doesn't "wake up" controlled enemies. But I was disappointed to see that this was not added to Force Breach, especially since Force Breach is now a high threat attack and was changed to help with aggro management. Looks like an oversight to me, so it would be great to see this in a coming patch.
  14. Simple as that. I hate having to go in Preferences every time I want to change this. Just a tiny button/checkbox on the main UI that I can tick/untick whenever I want. This should probably be easy enough to do for next update, right?
