  1. Hopefully lesson learned. I always pump the breaks on purchasing or acquiring mass quantities in mmo's for crafting purposes due to possible changes
  2. Adding a support class would be great but it would take a lot of work and all the group content would need to be rebalanced around another member to the group
  3. The trinity system existed before mmo's. I remember playing balder's gate and you had to use different classes to succeed. Its not exactly the same but you have your heavy armor up front (paladins, warriors) and low armor in the back like archers, mages etc. I have no issue with tacticals but they have to be balanced around 4 dps so they have to dumb down the fights. I have no issue with that but for people who want a challenge its not the best content for that. I dont understand what the op's problem here is though since there are numerous tacticals in the game now. The format going forward for flashpoint seems to come out with the tactical first and then make a hm after.
  4. It definitely says that. You just misread what it said
  5. Basically what i do is the planet and class missions. I dont do side quests anymore and que for the tactical and regular fp's to compensate for exta xp. Im usually right on or a little over leveled at the end.
  6. Reminds me of hm in 1.0 to be honest. It was pretty brutal healing then. I only did one hm and it was manaan and couldnt get past the first boss with my scoundrel healer. Wasnt really too much of a healer issue but the fight was over 5 minutes long and the dps took a ton of damage and had a hard time keeping up but resource wise it was fine. For me keeping the tank up was easy but the dps was another story.
  7. The only time that i really laugh about it is when someone undercuts so much that you can actually can sell it to a vendor for more credits
  8. Its not like the awards are really out of line with what you get from other daily areas
  9. Also make sure you dont have any of the chain in your quest otherwise you cant get the droid. I know a few people in my guild had that problem. Im not saying the problem isnt legit just in some cases thats what might be causing the problem
  10. no problem. I actually did the same thing so thats how i personally knew about it
  11. I think the route they went here is the side quests are really just repeatable rep dailies which on most planets arent voiced at all. It doesnt really bother me personally since the voice acting and cinematics are fine for the main story. Also enjoyed getting the side quest for my class. Id rather have that voiced then some side quest that has no bearing on my character. If my class quest was just text then id probably be more miffed.
  12. If there is no solo option then you havent progressed far enough in the story when you do the flashpoint. You can actually do it any time when you hit the planet like most other flashpoint
  13. As stated STO is not the best example as a good model for f2p considering there are certain ship models that are better and you have to pay for them
  14. The only way they could make it anymore casual is if they let you bring companions or such. In order to do that they need to completely rewrite the dreadful companion ai in this game. As of now they wouldnt be able to execute the most basic group tactics such as not standing in aoe or target swapping to adds. Operations are best done in guilds where you can have a scheduled time to run it. People keep mentioning waiting for like an hour creating a pug but that isnt the best way to do operations in this game. I personally wouldnt pug a raid because mechanics just play too much into it. Furthering what artemis said you dont even need to do ops since you get the highest level comms from gf from doing flashpoints now and comm gear is more than fine for end game. The best solution i can come up for casuals that want to raid is to find a guild that is casual that does raids. They do exist as i am in one but not always easy to find. i have no idea what the percentage is that do raiding here but i do know that there was an article about a month after destiny came out and 50 percent had at least tried there normal raid and about 20 percent did the hard raids. I think the numbers are significant enough to justify making content for it. At the very least it keeps some people subscribed while waiting for new story content
