it varies but I tend to obsess over various music, certain novels and of course video games..
  1. Theron is my favorite companion but my favorite to romance him is my LS Inquisitor! I'm trying to devise a 'perfect' playthrough and so far I've decided their romance is the catalyst that leads her to side with the republic as a saboteur. At first it felt iffy because of all the hard work she put into reforming the Empire for the better BUT after a number of alts kept facing the sad cutscene of Theron's father Jace Malcolm dying because of her loyalty... Well, I couldn't keep doing it! Now my in-game justification for siding with Jace on Iokath and sticking with the Republic afterward is a combination of A) Imperius's frustration with Acina for not contacting her before engaging on Iokath. Like jeez Emperess, I did my part, in forming our alliance why couldn't you take fifteen seconds to make a single holocall instead of ignoring it the first chance you get? By doing that you'd have preserved my trust AND helped me save my future father-in-law from his own recklessness! That and B) the heat of the moment panic from seeing the metaphorical 'writing on the wall'. With circumstances as they were, Lady Imperius immediately understood, this wasn't a choice of loyalty or morals but whether her lover whose been with her through thick and thin is worth upending everything she's built...In short, is this love worth it? Yes, bizarre as this sounds, to Imperius It's simply less painful to sacrifice Acina (Who 'betrayed' her first) instead of Imperius's probable future Father in law! I mean think about it, Jace is the future grandpa to her eventual kids... How could she look Theron in the eye, knowing it's her fault? Yes, they have a rocky relationship, but its also clear Malcolm WANTS to at least TRY to connect with his son! And despite his protests, and understandable reluctance, some part of Theron's heart is open to it. Besides with the many changes to the counci,l all her previous projects have been more or less scrapped so even if the alliance collapses it's not like the Empire has much to offer her anymore. It's just chaining her to a lost past. No she is better off by far, retaining her position as this benevolent 'Space Mother Theresa'. A Queen in all but title, who is adored by trillions and considered by the majority of non-combatants as being a woman 'above reproach'. Becoming a saboteur conveniently permits Imperius and Theron the best of everything and simultaneously maintains Oddessen as the 'Neutral' hub that encourages cross-faction cooperation and relationships. Think of how many children owe their existence to the alliance! Their parents would never have met otherwise and even on the off chance they did, it would have been as bitter enemies! What? as 'Light' as she is, Imperius is still a Sith at heart, just because she is claiming 'unwanted but necessary' political power through this unorthodox manner, doesn't mean she isn't secretly loving every second!
  2. Another 'Casual' here myself! I've been consistently subbing since shortly before the launch of F2P, With very little halting to my sub status, I can confirm his generalization holds MINIMAL weight over those who make up the so-called 'CORE' base! The difference is that most 'casuals' like myself tend to keep our mouths shut and play the game. (It's not perfect but nothing is, and the positives outweigh my complaints. I love SWTOR in spite of its flaws but will happily take improvements as they come) I guarantee this is a case of the silent majority versus the loud vocal minority.
  3. would anyone mind grouping with me for it? I need it to trigger one of the optional things in Eternal Throne's first chapter. (the other is triggered by completing the Voss star Fortress but Sireniya has already done so) My companion Theron is 50 so it shouldn't be too much of a slog. thank you in advance! EDIT: This can be deleted now
  4. 36? holy...I mean whoa! that sure puts a disturbing perspective on MY LS inquisitor's romance with Theron... to explain, I noticed that in the class story, the inquisitor is repeatedly referred to as a ''child" not only by Darth Marr, but a few others as well. (several NPCs also comment on how unusually fast the inquisitor rises to power, so that helped! Thus, for my own headcanon, I took those explicit details and ran with it! I decided that basically the Inquisitor is the youngest of the eight classes and built that into her backstory as a major plot point. basically, My human Female Inquisitor was enslaved at fourteen, as an act of humiliation against her Minor Noble parents who did not watch their mouths around a prominent Darth! before she could be branded on the face, she had a fear induced panic attack that caused her to release an uncontrollable electrical storm from her body that killed the slave master and everyone else the room and lost consciousness! upon awakening she was given the same choice all force sensitives under the empire are given, join or die! after two years of basic training, she is shipped to Korriban at 16, where after another six months she becomes Zash's apprentice. the story chapters 1 - 3 take place over a span of two and a half years, with chapter one being the longest, because she spent a long time on Nar Shadda building her reputation as "the Great Healer" basically, she becomes Darth Imperious, shortly before her twentieth birthday. add a little under three years before being frozen in carbonite, plus the five as an unaging trophy... so that makes her chronologically 27or 28? I don't know I suck at math! regardless, old age will never be a worry, as if she sees any crows feet, the inquisitor can just saunter off back to Belsavis and use the Key to take a therapeutic soak in the "Mother Machine" and reset her body to the way it was after being rebuilt! (The Rakata, tell you they are scanning your imprint for their records)
  5. I agree! /SIGNED! I need more options for my beautiful Light side sith sorceress! I have had SOME success piecing together various pieces to form a somewhat regal appearance, but sadly the combinations are all rather limited to the point that I have only been able to create maybe 3 gowns and those 3 all use the same skirt... I have no usable screenshots to post here but if I am not too lazy I may make time to make a few for TOR fashion links... no promises though.
  6. I have done it once so far on one of my many alternate but physically and morally light side identical sith sorceresses and overall im quite satisfied! (I am running a few more because my muscle memory keeps making me initiate a romance with Theron Shan and I don't want to hurt him lol yes I care too much about the feelings of fictional characters lol!) I do hope they will build upon this though because it felt a bit like a beginning of an arc! oh and not to be too demanding but does anyone else want a cutscene with Arcann, Senya and their commander that takes place after the romance is started? I ask because I think a scene where the commander is given Senya's blessing and approval to court her son, would be awesome!
  7. Thank you Mr. Keith! knowing 6.0 is in development alleviates 90 percent of my worry! thanks again!
  8. so according to rumor, we might be getting the ax? thats awful! it had better be wrong! assuming the worst, and If anthem is indeed the reason for this... then please understand that I am petty enough to avoid it like the plague. to put it simply, I will not blindly bend over to them and say :oh dear, swtor is down... shame. oh well looky here I can just sub to their other game anthem instead! nope, not happening. yes that is rather spiteful and childish of me but thats my right lol.
  9. so the overall effect is that the internet is essentially identical to how it was handled in 2014? I don't understand why some people are being so melodramatic.
  10. I agree that from a practical point at least, that it might be too much of a hassle to tinker too much with the existing eternal throne story to add additional content or dialogue and that the romance would flow more smoothly (for a number of reasons) if they limit the blossoming romance to post Eternal Throne. BUT it should not be as hard to make a couple minor modifications to what is ALREADY present. (by minor I mean nothing involving rerecording old lines or reanimation of certain scenes.) take for example the LS ending of the chapter where Arcaan is officially allowed into the alliance. there is a scene where the commander can already tell Arcaan he looks a lot better with no mask from before. that with his more gentle tone of voice from the existing response, it should be simple enough to just add a flirt tag to that dialogue choice. little things like this could be a solid way to go!
  11. there are a few aspects I could have done without but overall not an unpleasant planet. Well I do like the variation in skins for the Umbara wildlife! another plus for me was the scenery on the train, when I get the stronghold I imagine it will be fun to just stare out the window! by far my favorite part though is related to the flash point so spoiler tags?
  12. I do love this type of thing but the only character I put real effort into a backstory for is my main character. keeping with the core story basics of her base class, my primary is a human female the Sith inquisitor. in my head canon, I try to follow the existing lore and only tweak smaller details. Name: Ambrosiel Class: Sith Sorceress Alignment; Light rank 4.5 as due to some pragmatic decision making she is unlikely to be truly pure light side. (In my head She is fully capable of using the Assassin abilities. infact they were her initial focus up until studying rituals and secrets of the force took priority during the events of chapter 2 as a necessity to avoid being killed by the much older more experienced Darth Thanaton.) please note that her raw power was always superior to Thanaton but as he explains early in chapter 2 he is many times her age and thus far more knowledgeable in using his power effectively) She spent her childhood on a remote passive planet unaffected by the cold war until one of the Ruling politicians began picking unnecessary fights with the Imperial diplomats who had until that point been rather civil in discussions regarding the proposed construction of a mutually beneficial relationship between the planet and the empire. As one might expect even when the empire tries to play nice they do not tolerate blatant and unprovoked disrespect so the Sith Lord leading the diplomats lost patience with the minister killing him and enslaving most of his family as an example to the population before in stating forced Imperial control. (the only exceptions to this were his youngest relations under 12 years of age who were sent to Imperial aligned military prep schools.) Ambrosiel at 14 years old and a great granddaughter of the deposed prime minister was not qualified for the exception and quickly detained. experiencing a potent fear and anger for the very first time in her life, Ambrosiel, strapped to a table with restraints. she observed as a particularly cruel slave handler prepared his branding tool to mark her face. as he drew closer the burning brand approaching her face she lost consciousness. upon awakening, she was confronted by an overseer who explained that to her that before she could be branded her body released a burst of force electricity that incapacitated and ultimately killed the slave master. exposed as a force sensitive she was offered the same deal all empire receive. Train as a potential future Sith or die. a year or 2 of basic combat training and studying the basics of the dark side of the force she arrives at Korribaan where the class story begins. so to keep this from getting much longer lets end it here with a note that the rest of the story takes place over less than 3 years as she ascends to the dark council at an unusually young age of 19. (Darth Marr calls her a child in the chapter 3 cutscene so it makes sense.) and ends up locked in carbonite a maximum of 2 and a half years later probably a bit less... where she remained for 5 years.
  13. I am having lots of fun making Theron, my beautiful Sorceress's fiance, a living breathing "ken doll"! While I am far too lazy to post pics (at the moment) perhaps, later on, I will do so! so far he has two complete outfits. the first is more or less similar to his default jacket but with dark red and black over white and no sleeves or ugly shoulder pads... so I guess it is more of a vest? the rest of his clothes for this outfit are less spy and more casual! the second and by far my favorite is what I call, "Theron is ready for fun in the sun at the upcoming beach view stronghold" they teased. so please hurry up Bioware! I used the basic men's trunks underwear and died it black combined with the energy armour and the feet wrappings from the xxoan or however you spell it to create his vacation wear!
  14. I have always favored the Sith Inquisitor class (especially from a LS perspective) and these expansions have done nothing to dissuade my bias! if anything it feels like the perfect extension to her story! as Lady/Lord Kallig Imperius has repeatedly experienced the galaxy is not so simple as light and dark. (from this point forward I will be using She but if yours is male ignore the s.) the many shades and contradictions she spent her her class story being confronted by remain in full force. as she and Ashara previously discussed, the Empire does have the capacity to change for the better and that co-operation and mutual trust with the Republic is not only possible but necessary. as the outlander she must further her understanding of balance (not only of the force) as she makes an effort to decide how best to handle the situations thrust upon her and her allies from both factions Dealing with the trust many beings from wildly different beliefs and ideologies is to make decisions that will not benefit herself, or just the Empire but can work out for the galaxy as a whole via compromise. the fact that Valkorion is a force ghost bound to her mind (which she previously had 4 to deal with at once before freeing them) is just delicious because of her prior experiences it explains her lack of panic and relatively easy adjustment to his rambling. all this plus little tidbits from the vanilla storyline (the Voss emissary telling her of the mystics vision of Voss's future ruin and her supposed destined involvement.) really I could go on and on!
  15. oh! I see now! I do feel kinda stupid for not noticing that before but I truly thank you both so much!
