  1. Quite a bit of semi-wrong information here, to clarify: Even if you buy Treek for the 1 million you can still unlock her via collections for a total cost of 1 million+700 CCs however that requires legacy 40. You can also unlock her individually for 300k per character if you only plan to use her as to 2 characters it is cheaper then wasting 1 and 1/3rd of your monthly stipend. (Side note:Unlocking her via collections gives you the level 10 no legacy version, not that it matters since its BoP and you already would have legacy 40 anyway) So its either buy using real money or using in-game means. If you're ok with using real money then 2800 CCs, otherwise just the 1 mill+700CCs. But as i said up there if you only plan to use her on 1-2 characters just individually unlocking is best Correct after unlocking for 700 CCs just go to collection window under" Special" and add to inventory as your new character(or alt whatever)
  2. its old EWH gear, you can get a crafted version if anyone on your server has the pattern.
  3. No but since i don't have a regular group for G-ranked im mostly stuck in yoloqueue, Its nice to let off steam by rolling over bad players(Til you run into those premades that troll Regs). Im already full obroan i dont really plan to rush to upgrade to the next set of gear (save for MH/OH)
  4. All it really did was take away the RNG of it, for any real PvP balance is still top. Tele can be fun if the team you're fighting is bad but overall atleast on harbinger the bads have learned Pebble thrower = KoS. Even in regs im not noticing much of a difference i still steamroll the same bad sages/sorcs, i think the damage numbers you're seeing is due to some change with expertise since damage is up all around it seems, been hitting 11-14k ravages as my juggernaut. Ive actually seen alot more full tele sages around which is fun for me, interrupt their turbulence and watch em sit there letting you kill them or fail at force waving you off them....Oh how i love regs:p
  5. I'll never understand this, if you want to see the content you can still do it. You'll out-level content regardless of double exp or not. The big argument against 2x exp is the whole "We want to experience the content" however there is nothing stopping you, infact it makes more sense from an RP perspective to be overpowered since if our characters were just regular everyday joes they wouldn't need us in the first place. This whole argument seems like nothing more then a complaint just for the sake of complaining. We get it you don't like over-leveling content but if thats the case how do you play normally? I have a fresh juggernaut im playing through to see all the imperial story lines again since it has been a while, Hes currently level 40 just starting Alderaan thats with no 2x-exp, no cartel boosts and the only flashpoint i did were the Foundry/Boarding party(again just to see the story). EAware does alot of things wrong but this isn't one of them. You said new players might dislike this yet every planet, every flashpoint has new players that are loving the extra exp. If anything the complaint should be "New players are getting spoiled" since the day after the event ends every planet is filled with "I think dbl exp is broken im not getting extra".
  6. I'd say Kuat is the fastest going 15-35, after that it takes 2 runs per level which about on par with questing so from there it becomes preference. around 40ish i takes 2 and a 1/3 Kuat runs per level, or if you're like me 2 and 1 pvp match. Tomorrow im going to quest my way to 50 as my mercenary , to really get a feel for the speed difference. It taken me 5 hours to go from 36 to 47 doing Kuat with legacy+cartel boosts. Kuat only wins because little travel time its just straight killing whereas questing has alot of unnecessary running to and fro.
  7. I love 2.7 for hybrid spec. its so great for regstar PvPin'. Dailies as well just go so fast so much AoE, hard cast TW>FiB>get 3 stacks of presence of mind>Disturbance >insta TW>fast channel Throw. Its alot nicer then fishing for a proc. i was skeptical at first but i like the change and just wanted to share my enjoyment with you guys.
  8. Those adds always hit that hard, they used to be bugged and not attack til you were standing right on top of them. All they did was fix i to its original form, How it was at launch. Have dps each take 1 and burn it quick if the tank tunts all of them he better be ready to use defenses. Personally its not harder at all to tank or heal, it sounds like a learn to play issue, just because you overgear something doesn't mean you should skip mechanics.
  9. What does "non-professional raider " mean? If you mean you don't do ops period then what is the point of this thread? If you just mean you do the odd raid here and there, wouldnt you rather supplement your gear grind and save credits for other things? I only do PuG raids mostly now maybe join my guild for the odd HM and still cap out on my 150 weekly limit. While im waiting for ops i do my dailies on czerka and oricon. There isnt much reason you cant do both, if your playtime is limited well, you wont be raking in credits either so moot point.
  10. You can skip armorings and mods so its only 53 million: 7 Enhancements - 21 million 2 Hilts / Barrels - 10 million 1 Earpiece - 3 million 2 Implants - 2.5 million 2 Relics - 16 million Edit: I mean to say you can just get 78 mods/armorings from commendations which if you do weeklies as more then 1 character goes very very fast.
  11. If you already have the stalker set stick with it. Its more about preference, or at least i think anyway never did any testing just the , for lack of better wording, "feel" of it in-game. I run with 4 piece stalker and that added burst is nice. I used to have the 2/2 with partisan gear , and did fine but wanted to destroy people in regs as my sin and wanted a bonus both could use so i switch to stalker when i farmed out my conqueror set both felt similar. Actually when i play lightning the stalker set bonus is notably better that burst is a killer. but thats mostly for regs not ranked. All in all, if you have the set already just chuck it in some aug'd legacy gear and mail it back and forth.
  12. Better question is why didnt you just hold off on buying the gear knowing 2.7 would bring these changes? That said: I think a trade in would be a bad idea Those who PvP out of enjoyment should already have enough comms saved anyway. Those who don't well thats really on them. With bolster casual PvPers just need to use their PvE gear. I only play a few games here and there as a casual player you have no need togo for the new set of gear min/max'd obroan is enough to be competitive. If anything you should be happy you can get geared much easier.
  13. You'd be surprised i've seen tanks actually take the accuracy enhancements purposely over the mitigation ones. My guess they exist to weed out the truly bad players. That or BW really assumed people would want these.
  14. Finally someone who gets it! So many people say they are terrible and not worth buying, but guess what if you have nothing else the Vigilant 34 enhancements are better then bulwark 30s they have more mitigation. The slightly higher end on mods is actually a plus when starting out doing the SM ops as it'll give a buffer in case your healers aren't great. As for dps you get the best mods from your comm gear so when you're trying to min/max its best to buy boots or gloves to get rid of the crit that comes on dreadforged gear. Comm gear is by no means perfect but i don't understand the venomous attitude towards it. Its enough to get you started doing HM SV/TFB. If you aren't in a raiding guild expecting to gear quickly isn't good since its common to go multiple runs while losing every roll. The forums disdain for comm gear is really unfounded. Noone is or has ever, to my knowledge, said comm gear is the end-all of gearing it is a stepping stone to further your gear progression. Its also a cheap and easy way to fill that 5th gear slot that way you aren't taking a token from someone who would actually benefit Back to the OP: Buying the armoring is a waste, buy enhancements and hilt that is the only place(sans set bonus but crafted dont get that either) that comm gear is lacking. Also just by doing the weeklies for all the Ops, which you should be anyway, you'll get more then enough ultimates, assuming you do them 16m.
  15. Just to add onto this: What you say is right, However there is a work around all you need to do is be in a group - the other doesn't even need to be inside with you. If you have a friend or guildmate willing to group with you its actually quite easy. Just requires good control over your companion, As there is a lot of AoE that needs to be avoided. I was able to do the Tython one as my marauder, however the Korriban was too much. The trash is far more difficult then any of the bosses especially since i haven't seen any of them enrage. That said, The time it takes to solo them is not worth it even a bad group would clear it faster. Its just too much micromanaging and movement to put constant DPS on the bosses.
