  1. smugglers story is pretty much the way it should be. nothing more nothing less. a great underdog story. haven't finished the bounty hunter yet. but so far its okay. if you're going for story and building your character from scratch. smuggler is imo a little better.
  2. first: love the game. not ************. and all you who dont like it. dont post comments. this is a discussion for the fans and fanatics. we see the batman movies rebirth with a more darker and les comical vibe than the earlier. the new spiderman movie has gone dark. even total recall is being made with are more cruel scenario. in the mass effect games you feel the desperation and fear. even kotor 1 and 2 had a lot of suffering and opressing elements. this is the future. this is why these things won peoples hearts. am i the only one who thinks the game could use some of the above. its the greatest war in generations. the story characters and the environments just dosent seem as desperat and broken as they should. is it just me? and do anyone else have a thought on this subject?
  3. i see how this could apply to many other fantasy universes. but what i've got from the star wars movies and whatever post TPM EU ive seen it just takes away the magic and mystery about it. if a father can simply teach his son a couple of force moves why wouldnt the son be able to teach all of his friends? in star wars very few people. like a couple hundreds out of many billions are chosen to be trained in the force because most are unable to master it. wich is one of the things that makes it so special. i like the idea of the sith/jedis swearing to dediacate their lives to their training. no offense to D&D and dragonage and all that middle age fantasy stuff. but this legacy thing makes the force seem like F-ing magic tricks you would learn in dark age games..
  4. quess it depends on your view on the force. in my little world of star wars it just doesnt fit together. if most people think its cool and adds flavor thats fine. but kotor1 and 2 were just exactly how i percieved the star wars universe and the force. this kinda goes against that nerdy kid inside of me who was looking forward for another game to match his expectations of the presentation of the star wars universe.
  5. never really thought of post-ROTJ as real lore... just a lot of superheroes and over the top happenings. still. i dont think ill ever adjust to a trooper or a smuggler as having force powers. especially as i never head of any in star wars before this..
  6. unless ofcourse it turns out to be an april fools joke
  7. well... life-long training? i like every aspect of the legacy system and the game. but this one just goes against the idea of star wars. mastering the force takes a lifetime of dedication whether your jedi or sith. the most extreme case of sudden-jedi-skills ive ever heard of was luke. and his father was the jesus of star wars. seems wrong. loved the game so far. but 4 months in and everyone can suddenly get force-powers? its like dragonball after frieza when everyone suddenly went godlike in no time. i have had the greatest fate in bioware this far. but this one might be my dealbreaker,
  8. pretty sure the "non-jedi with force powers" thing is an aprils fool. and if not. its a little sad... just a little.
  9. they all get to be "in one with the force" when they die. pretty much all there is to it.
  10. always stayed away from firefly cause its such a short one. but if it really is that close to what crichton and o neill does for their series i might give it a try anyway.
  11. just started to watch the first episode of the lost world. i see what you mean by actors not fitting in yet. but from what ive seen so far i think ill stick around for a couple of episodes and see where it goes. thanks if anyone have any other suggestions ill still be happy to see what i might also be interested in
  12. first off: thanks for putting so much thought into helping me to answer your last question: im looking for something along the lines of the stargate series and the farscape series. the way they put small stories in that can fit in 1-2 episodes(3 at most). just as the early series of stargate. still. all those laughs in between are all important. thats what i dont really get when watching battlestar and star trek. it just gets dull. i dont care about a bigger meaning or realitation or anything. i just want entertainment at last. the plot dosent have to be perfect. just as it isnt in any of the series i really like. it just has to have both interesting stories and interesting "not trying to be funny but really are" characters. ecsept for those little comments you so often hear from jack o neill and john chricton. they're funny as hell
  13. now i just want to know what sci-fi show would fit me the best. im a a very over the top star wars fan. but ive watched all the clone wars series and need a new one. just so you know what kind of series i like/hate: like the clone wars(cause its star wars) hate star trek(its... lame and boring) love farscape(its sci-fi and its funny as hell) hate battlestar(wayyyy too much politics) love stargate sg1 and atlantis(dont like universe) so. any of you know a series i havent watched that might intertain me till they start making an old republic series?
