  1. Thank you everyone for confirming I am not losing my mind. It is late where I am at but I wanted to jump into SWTOR to do some crafting before bed. Low and behold I have a "you have been placed in the queue" message that I haven't seen since Launch. Crazy part, Shadowlands pub side is pretty much dead these days and while Empire seems to be busier, I can't see how it is so over populated we need a queue. I seriously thought something epic had dropped and scrambled to google and the forums to see what I missed. FYI to the Dev team who may read this, I am on Shadowlands and it is now 12:40 am Eastern DST.
  2. Thank you for clarifying! Although I read Dulfy etc, I didn't clue in it was a daily cost so I wanted to make sure it wasn't a bug. TBH I didn't find much need for the ones I bought from the little droid so I won't be getting them again, however, I do think paying 600 to do a Walker daily is a bit much.
  3. After purchasing some of the abilities from P3-R1 last night, I finished out what I could for the dailies and logged. Yes i understand that they appear in the temp abilities bar, but figured they would work like Heroic moment and only appear when on Iokath. However, are these a daily purchase? So if I want to complete the Walker daily more than once, I need 600 per day plus the credits? Thank you for clarifying,
  4. Can confirm I lost a Superior CMD boost from the CC.
  5. I would suggest a text overlay clarifying for the viewer what exactly you are trying to reach. e.g. Reach the top of the "insert name" platform in Korriban. Also pause the video and insert a circle of the location you are attempting to reach. Cheers
  6. Never forget that Eric and Tait are bound by corporate policy regarding communications. If your boss told you to not post information publicly, would you? No, you likely wouldn't. But you are right, no matter what Eric and Tait say, they are still publicly crucified by the toxic community that has sadly become swtor. The answer to your question is relatively straight forward imo -- this game has been the victim of a corporate acquisition During development Bioware was sold to EA. Due to pre-arranged/approved production time-lines EA likely let BW go on as originally intended and told the staff "it's ok, you keep moving on like nothing has changed". Then after seeing the numbers drop etc, EA stepped in, essentially fired the whole team and presented the "new vision" for swtor. Like many corporations that are sold to the bigger fish, the grassroots, home grown corporation that was Bioware is now a disjointed "we must obey the 'man' even if it means our player base suffers" type of corporation that is struggling to hold onto it's original revolutionary story-telling identity; all while trying to please the shareholders and the player-base. The end result is a toxic player community that spams grump-o-grams on the forums. It sucks, and in many ways, I think the sale to EA was just bad timing for this game. But if you review the dev tracker and see the communication dates since launch you will see a steady improvement communications wise. However, the unspoken presentation over the last 3 years have come across as "OMG the sky is falling, we need an idea to solve our problems now!! Tell the Dev team there is no time to test for bugs! We are in panic mode here. Just roll it out to production!!!" Both the player base and EA/Bioware need to understand that sometimes, delivering new content in stages is better for the development team as well as the player base. While I am concerned the new OPS will be disjointed in appearance upon completion, I would rather a single properly developed boss fight than a series of untested buggy fights that result in the boss killing himself (*cough* Fractured) and the community of players being told they are exploiting due to lack of development time. “A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.” ~ Shigeru Miyamoto (Nintendo video game designer)
  7. Your question was answered by Eric here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=9092875#edit9092875
  8. Come on Eric, you can do it... resuscitate those hamsters! Thank you for keeping us posted! It's always a bit concerning when you login to the launcher and get to an offline server screen and it isn't patch day. So *high five* for communications today.
  9. I don't think they were ever intended to be anything like FPs. You are right, FPs have rich story tied to them but really, do you watch all of the story every time you run through False Emp today? I don't. I had enough of that trying to get my Columi chest piece at launch! I look at Uprisings as challenging H4 replacements that were introduced so that the end-game player group had something quick yet challenging to grind out for CXP. The opening commentary for each uprising tells you why you are there etc. I generally have my game volume on low so i read it in the "other" chat tab. I do agree with other postings though, the rewards are not always worth the effort.
  10. No it is not mandatory and is more novelty. You can be a tank, dps or heal rakghoul or you can be your regular self.
  11. I completely agree about the Uprisings! They are a lot of fun and are in-line with the happenings after KOTET. Really well done BW/EA! All of the uprisings played out fine for me with no glitches etc and we were able to 2 man SM all 5 with companions. Took a bit of strategy to keep the companions alive but that is half the fun. My favourite was My request is that future content have more brain teasers and stuff to figure out like the puzzle quests in the Macrobinoculars/Seeker Droid missions and Chevin Grand Acquisitions Race. I like the OPS as they are now and tied to new story content. I think that is why folks are bummed we didn't get a new OPS that had us invading Zakkuul or something,
  12. Personally, I like my commando in knight/guardian robes. I have personally never cared for the look of the commando gear that has dropped since launch. As soon as I was able to get a set of heavy armor and colour match in 1.2, I put my commando in jedi robes b/c they suited that toon and the huge shoulder pads on the commando gear made her look like she had shrunken head syndrome.
  13. The otherwise useless CMD tokens we got granted can be traded in on the fleet for CMD boosts that are legacy bound.
  14. Hi Eric, The patch notes state "Eternity Vault and Karagga’s Palace now drop the same Command Experience item that other Operations provide." Can you please clarify what this means as the missions for these 2 OPS still state 250ish CMD (269 with boosts) whereas other OPS are 500ish CMD (539 with boosts). Thank you,
  15. If you go to answers.ea they have instructions on how to complete a pathping and tracert listed in the troubleshooting section. It is in the "unable to retrieve patch data" section but it is relevant to your issue. Here is the link: http://answers.ea.com/t5/STAR-WARS-The-Old-Republic/INFO-Common-Issues-and-Solutions/m-p/4832473/highlight/true#M11 Keep in mind your issue may not be network related but more related to your graphics card as well. There are a number of threads with similar issues that may offer insight. You can also post your question there and someone from support or the help community will respond. Cheers,
