  1. Ok, since your asking, the best advice to give you on choosing a class in this game is to look at the advanced classes of each class. If you are interested in the Imperial Agent, but hate the idea of the cover system, that may not mean you're X'd out of the class, as not all of the advanced classes use it extensively. With the agent, you're looking at one of your adv classes having two trees of melee stealth and one of healing; while the other adv class has three specializations of ranged dps, one or two of which are heavily focused on the cover system. As for the bounty hunter, you have an adv class of healing and two mid-range dps specs, while the other adv class uses a gun but plays almost like a melee class. The lightsaber classes also pan out a bit, so your best interest is to research the adv class options of the base class that peaks your interest the most.
  2. Planet. Promotion to Captain is pure win.
  3. I for one appreciate the removal of hybrid specs. It saves a lot of trouble by the end game of idiots attempting bad hybrid specs. Whether for PVP or PVE, it really sucks being paired with an idiot who doesn't know how the heck to work their talents.
  4. Pssshh... I used to work at Toys-R-Us and I never got arrested for swinging light sabers at people. The trick is to Jedi mind trick them after you hit them a few times.
  5. Marauders / Sentinels have a lot of nice utility group buffs for PVE and PVP, and the Juggernaut / Jedi Knight's armor sunder armor debuff alongside of off tanking capabilities could also be nice.
  6. The answer here is simple enough; go for the one path you have not yet touched. Make a Jedi Knight, but go for the guardian tree. The guardian tree will still allow you the fun aspects of your sentinel, but should provide a DPS experience that wears a little heavier armor, so you aren't cannon fodder. Or, if your concerned about the skill of playing a melee class, you may indeed be a little better off playing a Consular. You would still wield a light saber, but you have the benefit of range keeping you out of "the fire" that melee classes are often subjected to.
  7. I think it would be pretty cool if there were a few more movies set after VI, focusing on Luke rebuilding the Jedi Order and Jacen Solo rising up as Darth Caedus. I'd really like to see Lumiya's story played out. She's freakin' awesome, what with the sick light whip and all.
  8. His accent, mostly. Slave I really helps his appeal too.
  9. WoW didn't add stuff like that until it's third expansion or so, and while the feature is really fun, I think that it takes away from the designer's plan for the game. I mean, yeah, having everything on easy mode to where you don't have to travel or leave a capital city is great, but at the same time, it really kills the big picture the devs of this game have spent the past few years putting together. I would think something like this will show up eventually, but for now, just enjoy the landscape.
  10. If I may quote some of your points and offer my opinion: 1) PVP Space battles- I think these could really pull people into the star wars idea, this played a big role in the movies and the animated series. Not to mention the number of people it could pull into the game. It would add new goals even titles for people to go for. Even space raids could be an added idea. I think alot could be done with this and I have no doubt that the SWTOR team couldnt make it amazing. Given the tube shooter nature of space battles, I don't see PVP working too well. However, I would be in full support of 2 to 4 player space missions. That'd be cool. 3) Speeder Bike Races- Whats star wars with out the epic race of Anakin vs that really ugly guy when JarJar froze his face. I mean that was one of the most memorable parts of star wars. Another idea to help credits, or people who are not really into the fighting other people idea based behind an MMO. or who just want to chill with out killing. Sebulba. Sebulba was the ugly Dug that young Anakin defeated in a pod race. The issue that I don't understand is whether you want speeder bike races or pod races? Speeder bikes are the in game mount, so you could stage races on those with your friends already. Now if you wanted pod racers where ship parts could be used to affect a pod's performance Boonta Eve Classic style, that'd be interesting. Only issue with racing mini games in an MMO would be how lag would totally ruin someone's day.
  11. As a marauder, the form you assume in combat depends on your spec, you are correct in taking the Ataru stance for the Caranage spec. For future reference, Juyou form is for annihilation and shii cho boosts the rage spec.
  12. I'm not opposed at all to medium to large size matches soley based on 3v3 or 5v5, heck, even 2v2 scored death matches, I just don't want every piece of PVP based armor being based soley on being in the same arena group and being rated highly. So long as the arenas award PVP currency of the same type as the warzones, I'd be completely fine with arenas.
  13. The answer here is simple. Go bounty hunter. While you may not be able to make use of the heavy cannons yourself,
  14. With as much valuable information is available on the internet alongside of the game's own freakin' website, I really don't see how all of you people are claiming that you were "misinformed" about your class when you picked it in the first place. Although there will always be content patches that change your playstyle a little bit, there should be no reason for you to wake up one day and say "Hmm... I don't like playing a ranged caster class anymore, I'm switching to melee stealth." Or, "I'm bored of melee stealth, I'm going to swap over to maximum range with cover." And especially not "This doesn't play like the faceroll kill everybody, never die, and have every cool melee ability ever, I want to switch to a class that has a whole different armor set up." Needless to say, I fall in the category of thought that believes this game ultimately has eight classes, not four. If you can't see that, go play Maplestory and see how much luck you have turning your class around there. Or go back to WoW and beg them to reroll your warrior to a rouge once your 85.
  15. I'd figure it was pretty obvious to see that Darth Maul inspired the Sith Assassin to have a tanking tree. I mean, go watch that fight between Maul, Obi Wan, and Qui Gon again. He pretty much tanks the both of them until he can thin the herd.
