  1. 200 valor points IS a considerable increase from the previous patch indeed. However, this was done intentionally to incentivise World PvP in Illum. My goal in posting this thread was not to say that imps didn't have the advantage (due to their larger population of PvPers), but to point out that the valor point increase is NOT an exploit. You have to kill an enemy player with all the zones in Illum held, to get 200 valor points. The problem was with the medical centers. They were supposed to instakill any enemy that entered, and they did not. I'm just tired of seeing ridicules posts saying that "turrets gave valor points", and that "imps were getting 2,000 valor points per minute", etc. that's been debunked. BW can't control the Valor you gave the Imps. Imps can't press the "respawn" button for you.
  2. Skirmisher – Valor Rank 10 Duelist – Valor Rank 20 Gladiator – Valor Rank 30 Centurion – Valor Rank 40 Champion – Valor Rank 50 Battlemaster – Valor Rank 60 War Hero – Valor Rank 70 Conquorer – Valor Rank 80 Warlord – Valor Rank 90 Elite Warlord – Valor Rank 100 If the valor point gains are as good as some say they are, then why don't you see a bunch of War Heroes, Conquerors, Warlords, or Elite Warlords running around on your server? Because... 1) Turrets don't give any valor 2) The max amount of valor per kill is 200 3) The people making these claims are trolls or they are parroting misinformation unintentionally due to their impaired emotional states blocking their ability to reason. Side note: The funniest thing about reading all these rage posts is that I can tell by the limited understanding of the valor rank system that many, if not most of you have, that 1) you aren't PvPers or 2) you are very very low ranked PvPers and have not yet experienced the exponential increase in the amount of valor points needed to progress through the higher (Champion) valor ranks (50+)....lol at that
  3. You're just looking more... I work and go to school full time, and have a family life. I just hit 57 valor rank, so it's just about that time that the "average joe" that has played with a PvP focus since launch is hitting Battlemaster. Skirmisher – Valor Rank 10 Duelist – Valor Rank 20 Gladiator – Valor Rank 30 Centurion – Valor Rank 40 Champion – Valor Rank 50 Battlemaster – Valor Rank 60 War Hero – Valor Rank 70 Conquorer – Valor Rank 80 Warlord – Valor Rank 90 Elite Warlord – Valor Rank 100 If this valor exploit was as good as forum trolls are suggesting, I'd think we'd be seeing Conquerors, Warlords, and Elite Warlords running around today. Don't you think?
  4. You're all parroting the same misinformation that has been debunked (ie. turrets that give 2k valor points, imps getting battlemaster within a few hours, etc.). These things are just not true. Bottom line is: they will not rollback valor because the problem was nowhere near as widespread nor as severe as we've been led to believe by what's been said in these forums. BW simply didn't give the Turrets invincibility as they intended to, leading SOME imps on SOME servers to camp the med center. Valor maxes out at 200 valor points per kill when all the zones are held by your faction. The people reporting gaining 20 valor levels were not reaching battlemaster. it takes more than 350,000 valor points to go from 50 to 60 valor rank. The real problems are the people that used their pub alts to exploit the 200 valor points by farming them over and over again unchallenged. These people have been identified and will be penalized accordingly. Cannot apply a blanket solution to a non-blanket problem. A mass rollback is not necessary. I personally, killed (not camped) repubs for 4 hours straight and went from 56 to 57 Valor rank. It's just not possible to go from 50 to 60, let alone 0 to 60 in the 20 hours our so that graveyard camping has been possible. The people that you see that are battlemaster now must have been at least at Valor rank 55 or so to have used this technical advantage to get to 60. And they still would have had to spend almost all those hour and be lucky enough to get a steady stream of at least 1 repub to kill every 60 secs to achieve this. This is impossible because you are all here on these forums crying about it. the truth is if the population was on your side, the same problem would've occurred and the imps would be on these forums crying. get over it already, it's really not as bad as you think. Don't believe the hype. The funniest thing about reading all these rage posts is that I can tell by the limited understanding of the valor rank system that many, if not most of you have, that 1) you aren't PvPers or 2) you are very very low ranked PvPers and have not yet experienced the exponential increase in the amount of valor points needed to progress through the higher (Champion) valor levels (50+)....lol at that

  6. PvP stands for Player versus Player! if you are too casual to grind valor and get PvP gear and/or too afraid to die, then PvP/RPPvP servers are not for you....the best moments I've spent playing mmos is when we came up with our own ways to entertain ourselves. Doing things like occupying enemy faction cities, and killing quest givers, vendors, and trainer NPCs and forcing the enemy to engage us and defend themselves for the glory of their faction. This strengthens the lore and gives players a sense of meaning and accomplishment, and it was epic! I think these types of interactions should be both encouraged and rewarded. WZs are for gear...but what is the gear grind all about if you can't wreck face once your all geared out? I'm almost done grinding to 60 valor and once i'm done, then what? I can't make life a living hell for the opposite faction. Hell, I can't even explore their planets, or raid their cities. I joined a PvP guild on a PvP server so that I could have an influence on the opposite faction. I don't think anything should be "safe" on a PvP server. You should always feel both fearful and excited that at any moment you can be ambushed, or your planet can be zergd by 100s of the opposing faction. That's what PvP in an mmo is all about imho! I propose the following for PvP and RPPvP Servers: :sy_target:Everything should be kill-able at all times (ie all enemy players and NPCs) :sy_target:Everyone should have access to every planet and every city (if they can get past the guards) :sy_target:Companions should NOT be restricted from use in any PvP area or any area at all on a PvP server for that matter Companions are awesome and innovative and you can invest lots of time gearing them with PvP gear, so why shouldn't they be able to kill too!? :sy_target:There should be some type of ranked competitive PvP because yes, my epeen needs feeding too! You guys can act all holier-than-thou and **** but at the end of the day, people pay and play to be recognized. Did I leave anything out?
  7. This is how I feel as well....the best moments I've spent playing mmos is when we came up with our own ways to entertain ourselves. 8. -Full time job -Full time grad student -Engaged to a bad a** gamer chick -Lvl 50 Juggernaut -Lvl 55 Valor -13/14 Champion gear Haters are going to hate, cry babies are going to cry. If you're not willing to enjoy what you DO have instead of complaining about what you DON'T, then kick rocks and keep holding your breath for an mmo that even comes close. Bye B*****s
  9. I'm sure this will all be smoothed out in the coming months. I built my rig for the sole purpose of playing SWTOR, but while waiting for launch I dabbled in BF3 and SC2 and I found that with all of the highest settings I ran... BF3 at 200+ FPS online in 60 player maps SC2 at 200+ FPS online ranked matches SWTOR 111.4 FPS Open World SWTOR 70-90 FPS Fleet and WZs (but dropped as low as 30-40 FPS for 2-3 secs upon entering Fleet from Class Starship Phase) ...the former games are more demanding imho. When it drops, even though the FPS says 30-40, it felt like 2-8 FPS for those few secs. And I know what that feels and looks like because my previous rig was a BestBuy Sony laptop built in 2008. But like I said there are many issues that affect the FPS and I do believe the FPS issues will be resolved soon.
  10. This guy gets it. It's a GAME! Matic, feel free to invite me anytime. This guy does NOT "get it" and neither do you. Notice the logical fallacy in his statement..."are you not killing **** and dying often = might want to talk to your group mates."...talk to your mates about what!? You have no data to analyze and no basis for correcting the mistakes you've made that cause you to not kill and to be killed. You can be willfully ignorant all you want, but as long as there are Bosses with enrage timers, there will always be a need to identify and replace the weak links in a raid for the enjoyment of the majority. If you don't put out the numbers, and you're not willing to adjust your play style, spec, rotation, gear, mods, stims, adrenals, etc. for the betterment of the group then you should NOT be in the group. Period. I don't even PvE and I know this! Stop trying to block the data. Data = knowledge = power = win
  11. J/K I'm not quitting lol...I just want to know if the Juggernaut gear from the is in-game...anyone know? I rolled a Juggernaut because I wanted to look beast like this. Instead I look like a cyborg porcupine.
  12. Is the Juggernaut gear from the in-game? I rolled a Juggernaut because I wanted to look like this.
