  1. I'm curious why people are no longer allowed to post polls on the forums? Since the game went live they've disappeared. I assumed they'd be back along with the Search functionality...are they gone for good?
  2. Confirmed, you CAN upgrade to the digital deluxe edition. I preordered the game, and upgraded when I signed up for a subscription. I don't really think it was worth the $20, but that's a different story. I guess now that my Sith Inquisitor has the Imperial Dancer's outfit, it was almost worth the money.
  3. Actually, you're talking about different things. The "powercells" referred to is a buff that stacks to 30, and BHs DO have. Troopers use "ammo".
  4. You don't see the problem...sometimes we don't see the enemy, because they jump into our AoE range while stealthed. It really bugs me when people just blow off complaints like this. "Oh, just get stronger and fight him off." Yeah, a level 30 being attacked by a 50. In a few days/weeks you'll be able to what? Track him down and pay him back somehow? As I said on another thread about this issue - WoW changed it so you could not damage a flagged enemy with an AoE attack unless you were also flagged. This is how it should be on a PvE server. And nobody should ever get flagged just for attacking the same enemy as an opposing faction player, that doesn't even make sense.
  5. Yeah, pretty sure that assault cannons are Republic only, as are scatterguns, and sniper rifles are Imperial side only.
  6. Riiight...so what, the last 20 years of expanded universe stuff is null and void? Oy.
  7. It's worse when you have female body 4 characters, and the chest armor has something like a tunic bottom below the waist, it constantly clips through their behinds. Very annoying. I'd rather have a slight extra bulge to prevent clipping.
  8. That's an interesting idea. I had a 340 slicing mission fail yesterday after letting it go overnight as well. But it was my first one, so my sample size is too small. I was pretty ticked though.
  9. That would be a great solution. Especially with the amount of time and resources wasted on these things.
  10. Question/comment on this. Two nights ago, I managed to get a purple mission schematic from slicing. The schematic required skill 340, and my slicing is maxed out at 400. I decided to send out a companion on it rather than sell it to see what I would get. It cost me about 2500 credits, AND took 2.5 hours...and it FAILED. The biggest mistake I made was sending one of my companions out that I have very little affection with. But other than that, it seems kind of absurd to me that a mission that costs that much time and money AND is at a skill level 60 points below my current skill level can fail. What does everyone else think?
  11. Hey, just curious if anyone else had this happen to them. I was fighting a gold elite Jedi on Alderaan (one of the ones you summon to fight by interacting with something), and while I was in combat, a Republic player started healing him! Thankfully he either ran out of resources or got bored and left, because my bounty hunter wasn't going to be able to keep up on damage for long. Neither of us were flagged, and we didn't get flagged by the fight. Anyone else see this much? It apparently isn't a HUGE issue as I've only seen it once. But hey, if it's not against the rules, I guess I'll have to deal with it, but it seems weird to be able to assist a mob without getting flagged or something...
  12. I've been questing on Coruscant and finding a lot of goo and fiber in planters around the city.
  13. If I can be excused to engage in some mild hyperbole: I would like free-flying space combat as well. I would also like a Star Wars game in full 3D virtual reality where I can really swing my lightsaber at foes (or fire a blaster at them), and get paid real money for doing virtual quests. I like the current one, but would also like it to be more involved. (My biggest pet peeve about the current system is the ONE MUSIC TRACK. Getting really tired of that song.) What a lot of us don't understand is the people flinging insults instead of offering constructive criticism. "I dislike space combat, and hope it's improved in the future." No problem. Bioware has already shown that they DO listen to feedback. But "I hate space combat, and I hate this game, and anyone who does like it is stupid"? Not cool.
  14. I also have a GTX 560 and the game runs great. I'm guessing it's some other problem with your system? I have a core i5 with Win 7 64bit and 4GB of RAM, and very rarely even get slowdown. My previous PC running XP with 3GB of RAM and a GTX 430 card could barely run SWTOR.
  15. I agree, this mechanic needs work. To the person who said "name one MMO where this doesn't happen", uh...WoW. Several times as a mage I ran through an army of players AoEing, until I realized I did nothing because I wasn't flagged yet. In WoW, it was either built in or optional that AoEs do not flag you, only direct attacks or manual flagging. Last night, I was on my bounty hunter attacking a droid, and a Jedi ran by and hit it once. Two seconds later I went to loot the body, and I was suddenly flagged! I'm not sure if he was hit by an AoE attack by me (the only one that would have worked at that point was my thermal detonator, as the target was already dead), or if I somehow got flagged by looting the body that an opposing faction member attacked. Either way I was able to run into an instance nearby. Also from WoW, taking any regular travel path removed your flag as well...might be something to look at. Especially in a PvE realm, flagging should be totally optional.
