  1. I had hoped for the same. Sadly, as someone who has experienced preferred status, I can say with confidence that it does not work that way. There is also a (somewhat outdated) developer FAQ post that has more detail on escrow. To my knowledge, the escrow information is still valid. The link is here, but this is the pertinent part (emphasis mine): This escrow thing frustrated me quite a bit when I was looking around for information on it, so I wanted to be as helpful as possible here!
  2. There are three US-based RP servers. Two are Player vs Environment (PvE). The east coast server is named The Ebon Hawk, and the west coast server is named Bergeren Colony. The time difference between peak hours for both are only off by a few hours from one another, which makes the choice between them even more about personal preference. The third is Player vs Player (PvP), and is called Jung Ma. It's based on the east coast and has the lowest population of all three US RP servers. Of all three, The Ebon Hawk has the higher population. It's important to remember that not everyone on RP servers are there to RP all of the time, but with a higher population you do have a better chance to run into the heavy RP you're looking for. If population numbers aren't enough to help you choose, I would suggest getting at least one character on both PvE servers (AND the PvP server if you don't mind open world PvP) to ship-access. You will not be (as far as I know) penalized for creating characters on both servers. This will allow you to check the typical hotspots for RP: The fleet(s), and Nar Shaddaa (the entire Promenade area generally), and to a lesser extent all four starting worlds (Korriban or Tython for example.) Personal notes: I play on The Ebon Hawk. A half-dozen or so smaller RP servers were combined to make this one. The fleet is usually full of people, with a good mix of RPers and others just running around playing the game. There are two established server-wide social RP events that tend to be cross-faction. Bergeren Colony may also have things like this, but as I have never played on that server, I don't know for sure either way. -- Edit to add: There are European servers that also have English as the designated language. Over there, there is one PvE RP server named The Progenitor. In population numbers it's very close to The Ebon Hawk. Beyond that, there's one English-designated oceanic PvE RP server named Gav Daragon. It is somewhere between the population of Bergeren Colony and Jung Ma.
  3. 1. How do you think your Sorcerer spec is perceived by other classes? I have noticed that nearly everyone I group with immediately assumes that I will be a healer - even other people who play sorcerer assume this. In reality, I play as a hybrid Lightning/Madness (pure DPS) Sorcerer, and have never played as a healer. In short: Sorcerers are widely perceived as healers instead of DPS for some reason. 2. How do you perceive your own spec? I perceive my class as a rather effective dealer of damage. Our abilities that force us to stay in one place help to balance out our damage output with vulnerability. Because of this, proper use of static barrier is often fairly important.
  4. H'lo! Many of your complaints can be seen as quite valid. It does indeed get annoying when a stack of say 97 doesn't automatically combine with a smaller stack that would have raised the number past 99. However, perhaps I can offer a suggestion to help with some of your other woes. You can right click stacks in either your inventory or cargo hold, and as they move from place to place, they will attempt to auto-combine with other stacks of the same material, in the location they are moving to (unless the issue is the one listed above of course). You can then adjust and move them as you will normally, and with a bit less hassle. Perhaps it isn't the perfect system, but there is indeed a combining feature in place, it just involves right clicking. I hope this helps you at least a little!
  5. Just a curiosity-type question for everyone. Assuming of course I were to do this during the low-population server times (I'm talking 5-6 people on Dromund Kaas), would it be worth my time to tear through a heroic area over and over, Personal Challenge for example, as opposed to sitting and waiting on five minute Inath respawns? Inath is the obvious choice during busier Kass times of course; working him over is much less disruptive than clearing out the Mandalorians repeatedly. I would be a responsible loot-hound.
