  1. Everything works in its right way. At least the fascist police state doesn't hide itself behind ideals of equality and freedom. Even communism has its place, it just doesn't work when the population and opportunity hit a certain threshold. We are also making the comparison of looking at our world today then saying "said government is ideal" not really. In the future many many things change. I find it easier to change out the few in one system, than to change out the many hundreds in the other system. Order.
  2. I'll say with preparation and organization the Jawas. Why because the ewoks benefited from plot armor, and the old classic "stupid villain" syndrome that was of the era then.
  3. Are we talking the b1's from episdoe 1? those things would get wrecked.
  4. I just want to add that the same number of no name sith that got wrecked..you can see the same thing in no name jedi in the game and the sacking of corsucant trailer too. Neither side seems as strong as their future versions. this may be due to so many and times of war quality just dropped..then toner factors (like sith infighting.)
  5. exactly. Let it serve as a punishment for those who have committed atrocities or accumulated large debt, then add in rights. But yes let's go with indentured servants.
  6. The empire has the right ideas, take away the sith with corruption, keep the mainstay, take away racism. You have much more effective society than the repub overall. The corrupt factors in the empire can be narrowed down far more easily than those in the republic..why because of the system.
  7. As fun as alot of the fan interpretation is around here, I don't know of an official statements on any of the planets or story lines working together. As much as everyone loves the "good guy" (i use the term loosely as republic = pure good is the same as saying politicians are angels.) I find it hard to believe that all the work of the imp characters were for nothing. To top it off all of the "empire is losing the war badly and on verge of defeat" theories seem to go away from one factor...the war is already CONFIRMED to take 1000 years to complete. The story arcs we have at the moment may be intertwined but I'm sure overall its less than 50 years worth of difference. I also hope bioware is at least kind enough not to give us the old force unleashed lie. (where in the game alpha you were promised the chance to stay full dark and be pro-empire but 3 missions in it flips on you with no choice. Virtually only thing that matters is the "good side"). so about 100 years in to the 1000 year war the empire loses most of its ground and the rest of the 900 years is just the repub cleaning up scraps? I find this hard to go on with any competent story writer. If this is the case I feel like the OVER accelerated the decline process. Obviously we know they eventually fall but there are weird indicators it wasn't a simple win..like the republic symbol resembling the old empire one. Yes overall I find the whole situation upsetting, there isn't one decent game that is pro anything but jedi until this game (galaxies isn't available anymore and wasn't as immersed story wise). Quite frankly I'm glad there is EU content that smashes the jedi again after the original trilogy and sees the New empire surface..but that part is just me ranting.
  8. I hope the horrible pain that is TFU is forgotten and buried with a 20 ton slab of carbonite.
  9. long story short you have your black and white view people who see republic=good and empire=bad, thus you should play them as such. Those of us who know better understand the lines are shades of grey. ALSO LS =/= good and ds =/= evil fyi. People just assume it does. THE ls and ds choices in this game are too simplified and story book.
  10. this DS choice problem is annoying. There are numerous accounts of sith doing what the game calls LS choices to further their goals. Most ds choices vs ls choices, are kill vs spare...... that is so children's story book esque its ridiculous. I cant even hit DS 2 w/o farming because I've only taken the few sensible ds choices in the game as my SW who seeks to make the empire stronger not play sith politics. My IA is mostly LS but does understand the sacrifice for the greater good and shooting backstabbers is legit too (no spoilers)
  11. I'm glad people finally get the plot armor point. If the heroes in the movies were put into lore accuracy then there would be no heroes. Same can be said for the Imperial leaders...outside of the hero scenes they were heavily effective in stopping the rebels and other threats..then jedi pops up and like he chaos of wh40k they instantly become infected with the dumb.
  12. I say again, if the empire was minus dumb sith..they'd be the superior force. Maybe its just me and I see that irl "democracy" isn't so democratic and society is always one group or groups outplaying the other. The empire is just upfront about this. I think other than the dumb sith and wanna be righteous jedi... neither side is bad. (ok and repub need to execute those corrupt politicians).
  13. hate them both. Never played 2 ad I refuse to. I played 1 up until I was forced into being another rebellion hero. I felt lied o. They had sad you'd be given the choice o be good or bad..Finally I thought a game where I can be pro-empire and bad w/o being the cliche hero. Nope you were able to do that at the beginning then bam rebellion hero. And no the choice at the end of the game does not count, the statement made about being bad or good by choice was a lie...just like cake. Alt of people on this forum think players play empire or as a pure ds character for the giggles of evil is cool. For me it was the fact to be empire, I dont believe in sith arrogance, my sith has a code. there's also the relief of finally playing a SW game that isn't lets be fairy tale heroes... always the hero.
  14. I cant even finish reading this thread for the amount of ridiculous jedi/sith exaggerations in this thread. NOT EVERY JEDI IS A MASTER OR HERO TYPE. your average jedi/sith is going to get his/her arse whooped every time if they dare go into a fight with some mandos wit the 'I HAVE THE FORCE" mentality. Yeah they'll have the force blown into them. Now if the mando were shown blowing away yodas and maces, lukes, etc..thats wrong. P.S. force unelasehd was the worse thing to happen to the cannon...with his huge power exaggeration for the sake of coolness...***. Atleast in bounty hunter Jango taking on a jedi turned sith (that was on the road to master status) was a hard boss fight
