  1. it is killable. killed him in second try. never saw the bug.
  2. well i would be happy with a log from Nim or new hardmode content - because if commandoes are capable of doing more than what is represented on torparse then im definetely willing to look at it. My main used to be a commando and i still love the class. It isn't as run off the mill mindless healing as the scoundrel and you actually have to think about how to best use your resources and heals which makes the class amazing fun to heal on. I play on Red Eclipse and am mostly online on my scoundrel Blundersong (rep side). We dont use PTS we are the only guild with 3 progressive raid teams clearing content. Titans is probably one of the top 3 raid guilds on our server. Priorly we have done loads of server first kills and prior to my time in titans we have done worlds first kills in my prior guild. So im not totally unfamiliar with the concepts of raiding - i am however as a person fairly black and white and will often prefer to view things that way until other is proven. So yeah im looking forward to hearing from a mando healer that will go through logs with me to compare numbers and set me straight because right now i have yet to see a mando healer worth his salt that can keep up when all is calculated. This is ofcourse strictly speaking eHPS wise. btw on another note. one of our raid teams tried dual scoundrel in the new content the other night - granted it is only hm and content is piss easy but they said the healing was so easy that they barely had to make an effort to keep peeps up. not sure if this was in fortress or palace but they are now to a point where they clear both instances in 3 hours or so in total. We have yet to try that setup in the new ops in my raid group.
  3. Feel free to flame all you like. I have been asking around with other healers in the guild who are seeing same results as me. as i said it isn't precise. And assuming there are topparsers will always have healer slacking nomatter what the class is so arguing that the numbers favores scoundrels because of that is just wrong. door swings both ways guys. But yes analysing numbers is painstakingly impossible. now you can still get the jist of how much they are roughly capable off. and you can argue for and against commandoes being behind but i doubt your kolto bomb or your bonus healing will make up for 20-24% percent. and yes i realise healing is still a team fight - but in order to even get on top parse the other healer would in most cases have to be slacking or the raid taking more damage than is needed. And yes there are a lot factors that you simply cant calculate... but based off raw numbers i simply doubt they get near the others. It might even be as low as 10% but either way your arguments will not account for the difference of 24%
  4. Keep in mind this whole discussion started when i said commandoes are roughly 25% behind in hps. i dont disagree with anything else you have said. I have simply shown how faar behind they were on HPS. Now if you disagree on commandoes having faaar lower hps on average through all of nim content - feel free to compare them and show me some numbers.
  5. yeah i dont disagree with that - healing 8 man nim is a team effort.
  6. ah got something wrong - aparently it is 3% healing bonus on all kolto bombs not only on supercharged so effectively having a commando healer with you would change the number a little but in most cases it still wont make up for the lack of ehps. Either way test it out. I'm fairly confident this setup will make a big difference for the groups all around the galaxy. ;o)
  7. lets further put things into perspective and get some percentages. Now compare mando healer to the top healing numbers of each fight and these are the percentages that the mando is behind. dashrode: 13% titan 6: 35% thasher: 20% operations chief:20% olok the shadow: 31% cartel warlords: 27% styrak: 27% averaged out: 24% lower healing than top healer. So when i say that commandoes are fairly far behind ehps wise i am not really wrong. yes other healers can aoe heal but abilities aside it still leaves your raid with lower healing output when you take a commando. feel free to double check my numbers for this weeks rankings. i am not a big math genius so i might be wrong but this is what i have seen for a lot of weeks. And no one is disputing the commandoes ability to single target heal. there are just better options than taking someone who can only single target heal. And although scoundrels are worse at single target healing their ability to recover a low person is unsurpassed so in many cases having a strong single target healer is pointless when your overall healing output is soo much stronger with a scoundrel / sage setup.
  8. The linked fights are 2 different fights - but none the less sure they CAN do well majority just don't and in most cases your raid ends up with a general lower ehps output. to illustrate this i have gone through every single fight in S&V and taken the top effective heals from every class - ive then written the top two classes on every fight. FIGHT: mando (ehps) sage (ehps) scoundrel (ehps) - best setup dashrode: mando (2941) sage (2955.84) scoundrel (3376.65) - Scoundrel / sage titan 6: mando (2626.51) sage (2726.68) scoundrel (3996.8) - scoundrel / sage thrasher: mando (2966.02) sage (3215.3) scoundrel (3690.19) - scoundrel / sage ops chief: mando(2931.58) sage(3623.45) scoundrel(3317.45) - sage / scoundrel olok: mando(2093.34) sage(2997.81) scoundrel(2483.28) - sage / scoundrel cartel wrlds: mando(2991.48) sage(4071.89) scoundrel(3718.97) - sage / scoundrel styrak: mando(3029.94) sage(3609.3) scoundrel(4146.6) - scoundrel / sage Now from these number there is not a single fight where the commando comes out on top. So in terms of what the different classes are capable of im sure the commando can do well it is just more often seen that other classes do a lot better. I realise the numbers will only give you a general outlook of the peak performance but truth be told - i have been looking at these fights on torparse every single week and have not yet seen a commando ever being on the top of any fight. Now saying that your giving 5% extra healing to the other healer is just more or less a waste since it is not up all the time and if it is up who's to say that the specific 4 peeps getting the buff is being healed by the other healer at the time. so doing the math like that is just pure wrong m8. Now keep in mind this is for 8 man only!!! and this does not make the commando horrible. it just makes it a worse overall choice as a healer. The commando is in all aspects still viable just not as effective. I am prone agree with you on the commando/scoundrel setup not being too amazing. so if you are going to bring a commando i do suggest your other choice is a sage. And no i would not call my self prejudice as my main used to be a commando and i still absolutely love the class. i just feel overall it lacks more healing verstility and judging from the numbers they are justified.
  9. nope and it prolly wont come. however you can get close by using a razer naga mouse and setting up the interface properly.
  10. Tbh i would level your scoundrel. They are amazing fun and i dont see them as OP i just see them as complimenting all the things a sage does badly with as a strong point and vice versa. So when groups are spread out - scoundrels have an easier time keeping them up. when people are grouped together then sage will excel. sages and scoundrels both have pretty awesome spike avoidance, shielding and hots. I doubt we will get any nerf with exception to maybe some sort of survivability nerf in pvp of some sort. Healing wise the class is where it should be.
  11. hi there im a healer and a shadow tank. i would always go for highest secondary (defensive) stats and never augment endurance. Although right now it is a bit sketchy with the spike damage (in Nim Ops) this should be fixed with the coming changes to damage reduction and armor rating on shadows. So while gearing i would bear in mind that in a somewhat unknown short"ish" timeframe you will be a sturdier tank and will want those secondary defensive stats.
  12. go sawbones. scoundrels are excelling all the places the sages has difficulties. And no that does not mean the sages are bad. they are still amazing it just means the two classes compliment eachother perfectly. in the new ops it is an advantage to have one sage and one scoundrel or if not otherwise possible then a mando. The reason for this is the tech and force dispels/cleanses. Healing wise the scoundrel is faar superior in healing when groups are spread out. if people are grouped the sages salvation will in many cases take care of the group so during those phases you can switch to tank healing or pre- hot/cast for coming phase burst damage. in pvp even the delevopers mentioned scoundrels as being too good at survivability and otherwise really strong healers. i can highly recommend the scoundrel as it has several great points. - mobility - spike damage reduction through hots - decent aoe heal - stealth rezzes - ability to both tank heal or switch to raid healing depending on the fight and phase.
  13. i would totally agree on that and find it stupid not using supercharged. however this is aparently the tendency. and yes i agree on the fact that the mando's tested were not the best. even so compare the actual hps/ehps numbers from any week and compare to any other healer. end result will always be approx 24-28% lower than scoundrels and sages. so either way it seems like a poor choice. not undoable just bad class choice. and although the supercharged will give you some small bonus it is comparatively useless when comparing the overall hps difference of the classes.
  14. Hi, we have experiemented a fair amount with setups for healing. currently the best setup we have had is scoundrel/sage because the healing output of the commando is roughly 25-28% lower than any of the other two classes and is fairly limited to single target not to mention that is has some energy issues. reasonings for using this setup are: sage have poor rescue skills when a target is low and about to die - scoundrels have the best tools for this. sage has amazing aoe when people are grouped whereas scoundrel can spread his hots easier. sages have bubbles -zOMG they are helpful. scoundrels have hots which also helps build the buffer on mulitple targets. all in all this setup gives best aoe healing capabilities whether people are grouped or spread out and maintains versatility. stealth resses also adds a bonus. Problems we have found with the mando is that although their single target heals are decent compensating a whole slot for someone who only has decent single target heals is a waste. Alternatively the scoundrel offers close to the same output but can also do amazing aoe heal and is faar better at rescuing low hp targets. the bonuses you get from the mando are mediocre at best. most mandos are finding the energy strain so tight they refuse to use the supercharge so the other healer never gains any benefit from the 5% increased healing. the armor increase you get is equal to 1% mitigation so not really noteworthy. and if a mando decides to supercharge with advanced medical probe they usually end up without any energy. Today all our healing setups have been changed to scoundrel /sage for the above reasonings. we have 3 nim ops teams in guild and have cleared everything except styrak - however not due to healing issues. HOWEVER the above setups are only for 8 mans, in 16 man a mando is nice to have. however for 8 mans the faaaar worst choice.
  15. for optimal stats you want roughly: 285 crit rating or a little below - dont go higher. 440 alacrity rating - dont go below as you want that extra space in your gcd for the extra hot in the rotation. whatever surge is left after getting alacrity whatever power after crit rating.
