    An observation!

I was reading through all the new posts in the PVP section here when I realized something. Different people are calling different classes OP at different times. Every class is getting called OP for one reason or another. While I agree there are SOME imbalances, I think the main problem is rooted in the WZ themselves. It's a miss match of 8 on 8. Sometimes there are no healers, sometimes there are ALOT of healers. The other day I played a WZ where my whole team, besides me, were muraders. I think what people are experiencing is an imbalance of team composition in WZ's. If you have 2 assassins for instance, one is DPS spec the other is tank spec. Tank spec can't really kill very well, but does not get killed very easily. On the other hand the DPS spec build up the burst and drops a single target, sacrificing survivability and dieing shortly there after. Then you add lets say a DPS SORC to partner with the tank assassin, now they seem OP cause the assassin won't die and the SORC is beating people down. SORC is side healing the assassin while DOTing the target. Same for the DPS assassin, let go with the same thing and say he pairs up with a pure healing SORC. The assassin is dropping people left and right because he has built up his charges and now is 3-4 shorting people. All the while protecting the healer and receiving bubbles. Now you can apply this to any class in SWTOR. Since I have only played a Sage and an Assassin I don't really know all the in's and out's of the other classes. Guilds help you know how the other classes play but you can't truly understand the good and the bad of a class until you play it. Once 1.3 comes out it will be easier to level other classes due to the extra experience skills in the Legacy tree. But, to recap, my view is that the class are not the main problem here but the composition of the teams that are being pulled into WZ. Since it is still on one server wide system there is much BW can do. If people don't PVP they don't PVP. The best thing that BW can do is quickly implement the cross server PVP system. A lager pool of PVP players means they can create a sub selection system based off of builds and class to create a fair atmosphere for both teams. Then it would come down to how well the team can work together and not just who does the most healing or damage. Happy PVPing everyone!!

    Thank you for 1.2!

Doesn't matter what you say man, pre 1.2 an assassin could never take down a Sorc, chain stuns or otherwise. Now sorc are conformed to the standard, you heal OR do damage. You wear light armor your squishy. Your teammates are supposed to protect the healer in turn for the heals. Not a stone statue robot heal all that never dies. Yes there is more balancing to be done but this is leaps ahead in the right direction. Healers are basically crying so that they can start wearing heavy armor.
  3. IF you rolled a healer then *** is wrong with you? Complaining about damage? You people just want to play an EZ mode character where you can stand still and press 3 button and be invincible. L2P. AND, 6k crits are a bit crazy.
  4. No, the crafted gear is Orange and has no mods in it. You can however remove expertise mods from Light-sabers but that can be really expensive. I'm sure there will be more expertise mods that are found / release soon.

    Thank you for 1.2!

Oh also, the "0" everything for losses does kinda suck. No reason for people to stay in the game. At least give us some credits to the people without recruit gear can get geared. Maybe half the valor of winning?

    Thank you for 1.2!

I have been reading through some of these posts about Healers whining. Here's my peace, healers were doing 400K - 500K Damage and 300K - 350K healing with a score of 60 Kills and 0 deaths. I have at least 60 screen shots of this. Don't sit there and tell me you guys weren't over powered. I have a 50 Assassin. In my opinion it's the hardest class to PVP with. Requires the most skill and quick thinking if you want to kill and really quick thinking if your tank spec. 1.2 is great the matches are WAY more fair. There is a mix of wins and losses not just who ever had the most inquisitors wins. Getting geared is implemented very well with new patch, and the gear isn't so overwhelming between the now recruit to battle master. You want to keep the game rolling, that's what the legacy system is. To help people who already have one 50 roll others faster. In that aspect you don't want beginning PVP'ers to be so out geared that they can't even get started. 1.2 corrected that problem. I applaud Bioware with this balance patch. The next thing they need to work on however is making crew skills worth a damn once you get level 50. Droppable high level patterns for rare pvp gear that only drops in end game HM. That will get some of the Pvp'ers into the PVE area again as well. I'm sure the healers are going to chime in and flame. If you play your class right your still effective, my guild is the example of that. We roll 4 deep, Assassin, Sorc, Murad, and Powertech. Playing these classes correctly and injunction with each other through teamwork is how the game was meant to be played.
  7. Very true. Although some of the bet enhancements in the game can only be removed from PVP gear. Also due to server imbalance and size lots of endgame flashpoints aren't even being played on my server. So in my instance, it really is all you can do at 50. As a dps I'm a drop in a bucket for hardwoods. Maybe a sever migration, or merger should be in order for people still here after 3 months.
  8. A few more things they could change to make PVP'n easier for the casual player is take the Merc / Warzone commendations from a 3:1 trade ratio to a 2:1 or even a 1:1. Ilum is so dead all them time. Also increase the area that armaments spawn over so you don't have 20 people savaging 5 armaments in central.
  9. I first leveled a Jedi Sage to 28 on one server. Seeing that at the time their weren't many republic players on that server I switched to another server and made a Sith Assassin. Anyways, I took the Sith Assassin to lvl 50. I enjoined the story kept me coming back for more to find out what happens next. On multiple planets there are clipping problems with the speeder routes, I view those as easy fixes. My game only ever crashed 4 times. All 4 times were on Quesh. So something is very wrong with the textures or sounds on that planet. Hoth speeder point on Imperial side goes right through a group of robots that are always there. Sound throughout the game was really good, I although found myself lowering the music a bit by level 35. Sometimes you were just walking through the woods and the epic orchestra was playing, your like. "Epic walk through the woods time." Using force cloak and then moving away from mob and uncloaking your companion runs back in to get you killed. All and all the game was good, TILL 50. Once your 50 there is nothing left to do but PVP. If you haven't PVE'd up until 50 your screwed. Everyone who spent their time PVP'in from lvl 20 up now has full battle master gear. You mostly can't hit them, stun them, or otherwise even compete with them. Forget trying to gear up it will take you as much time as it took to get to 50, just to get your champion gear. There are VERY bad inconsistencies with PVP as well. If you have light or medium armor your screwed you can be stun lock for up to 30 sec, sometimes more and die before you even swing your LS. Even with stun cancel, it only removes one they just stun you again. Can we please get a stun immunity or reduced rate after 1 stun? The PVP is even more horrendous when 3+ warriors or sorcerers are on one side AND geared out. They run the show. The thing that makes me want to alt F4 more than anything is playing 10 HUT BALL games in a row. Assassins are the worst class to be in a hut ball game. We can't fly through the air, we only have 2 stuns. No shields, and 9 times out of 10 people absorb, dodge, deflect, parry most anything we throw at them. More than 5 of our skills are useless in PVP. The kick ability when things are stunned can't even be used on any mob champion to player up. Of course this all comes back to the fact I spent the time 1-50 playing the game and not PVPing all day because I didn't feel like losing so much because of the UNBALANCED SERVERS. So to recap. I like the game. Balance the servers. (Make Illum and WZ an all server group area.) Balance the PVP. (Stun immunity, reduced stun rate, more useful pvp abilities for some classes.) Split up PVP into small groups, making all server combined on Illum and WZ will help keep the PVP going and be more fair if only 10-20, 21-30, 31-40 Ect. were fighting in WZ. Once you get 60% battle masters gear you go to battle master pvp arenas to fight on a same playing field. Might do the same with champions and centurions. Anyways there are my impressions and suggestions. You don't have to reply if your just going to spam or flame. Be constructive and post ideas to balance the game and glitches you see.
