  1. I have a simple question. Why is there even a server status page at all if it's not in real-time?
  2. It's funny. It was the least amount of people I've ever seen on a planet, and the worst lag (not lagg) I've ever seen in any game ever. Totally unplayable.
  3. Absolutley love the game. Subscription ended due to the 30-day "loyal player" debacle.
  4. In this particualr game, if you've space-barred through all the dialogue and leveled as quickly as possible, you haven't actually experienced the game.
  5. Even if this were the case (I don't see BW stating anything about an apology to "hardcore players" anywhere...hmm...nope), that doesn't make it in any way right. Nor do your capital letters. Myself, I find it amazing that you can't for just a few seconds put yourself in the shoes of someone other than yourself.
  6. You'd think with everything going on, they'd be pretty careful not to do anything that might alienate part of their customer base...
  7. Had I the time, I wouldn't alter the way I play - it would make the game less enjoyable to me - more like a second job. Instead, I'll just go enjoy another game. Of course, accessing this page from work for 5-10 minutes does not reallly mean I can jump into the game, does it? But then, thinking about that might mean jumping into someone else's shoes and making some attempt to see the issue from another perspective. But all you can do is interject your own situation into it, coming up with excuse after excuse. I think you need to open your eyes as to why this is wrong in the first place, regardless of your own status.
  8. I have many real-life obligations, both because of work and because of family. So when I finally got some free time to play, I was a bit surprised to see that those who have more free time and/or are willing to burn past half the game's content are being rewarded with something of actual monetary value. I've been paying for the game just as they have (and have not been able to reap as much benefit from it to boot, unfortunately). Why would you insult people who work hard at actual life, whom you take money from every month, simply because they haven't reached some virtual goal? In-game rewards for in-game effort are completely understandable, as are out-of-game rewards for out-of-game loyalty. If my loyalty means so little, then it will not be given, nor will my money. I'll get my discount one way or another (and likely for several months if not more), because I'm fairly certain that no excuse will make me comprehend why you would choose to alienate part of your customer base in this way.
  9. I'm not sure that giving people something akin to actual money is a good thing in any case. Game rewards, yes, but a month off of paying? That delves into the realm of real-world economy. What is this, a job or a game?
  10. I'm a bit more concerned on missing out on a free month since I'm a "casual" player. Titles are nothing, but real money is real money.
  11. Please, Bioware, stop adding new shiny and sparkly effects to all of our abilities. This isn't the magical world of My Little Ponies or something. It's not magic, it's the Force (or a gun). I can't see the game anymore under all that. But really, I don't even care if I can turn the effects off. They shouldn't be there, yet you're adding more! If it's supposed to help other players determine what you're doing, why not let them learn it for themselves? Is this an indication that the next iteration of released Star Wars movies will have things like blue, glowing, swirly lines coming off of Luke when he jumps onto Jabba's sail barge? Joking about that (I hope - GL don't read!).
  12. You must not have been present at the release of any other MMO.
  13. It's these kind of complaints about how everything in a game should be easy that force the devs to change everything, taking any challenge out and making the game completely worthless. It starts with making travel everywhere instant, but will end with leveling up twice as fast so you can sit around and complain about no endgame full-time.
  14. The only way I'd quit would be if they continue to add shiny and sparkly visual effects to every frickin' ability.
  15. I wasn't sure what to make of this at first, either. I thought it was referring to specific missions that needed to be done. Perhaps "Your mission log is full" would be more enlightening. No, not perhaps. It would be.
