  1. Not quite. Most "Imperials" in the series were extras, and drawn from those available to them while filming said parts of the film(s) in London.
  2. Excluding the part about the notebook PC, this is where I'm at. I get pretty good frames on my i7-2600k and watercooled/overclocked GTX 580s. I managed around 200 frames a second in some of the more desolate areas, such as most of Ord Mantell. Coruscant was rough, dropping me down to about 100-105 fps. The game is definitely utilizing SLi.
  3. Not happening here. It's after midnight locally, and according to Weather.com it's around 41°F and raining. So yeah, not going outside. What did I do? I caught up on my YouTube Subscriptions, and downloaded an interesting new Freeware game that TotalBiscuit reviewed.
  4. I have a 19 Guardian and an 18 Mercenary. That's it, really, though I started two different Sith Warriors. Two reasons why I haven't gotten further: 1) I can't concentrate on the game for long periods of time like I used to with SWG, DAoC, and WoW. 2) Coruscant and Dromund Kaas. I spent most of my time in the Beta on these two planets, and frankly I despise questing on them. The lack of alternative questing planets at this level range is a problem.
  5. It's not BioWare Developers or EA's fault that you are incapable of keeping a computer clean and capable of operating a pretty easy-to-run game. I ran the Beta at near 60-frames for a long period of time (May through November). That PC was a Phenom II x6 (2.7GHz), 8GB ddr3-1600, and a Radeon HD 5570. That's a chumpy old machine, over a year old (nearly 2). Granted, I'm running a powerful rig now, but the fact remains that I can still run the game on the old Phenom II box. Sounds like you have contracted a virus. You should scan for the PEBKAC virus on your system. I realize that people should complain if the game has a legitimate problem. However, I despise people like you: computer illiterate morons playing at being intelligent. Good day.
  6. Being antisocial in a Massively MULTIPLAYER Online RPG? Good job. You provided the last bit of information required to diagnose the problem with the quest. The problem with this quest is quite obviously PEBKAC. Learn to play with others or learn to stew in mediocrity. There are people in the world outside, and you should learn to interact with them at some point in time. Go ask someone for help? I do it a lot. I have had little-to-no trouble whatsoever finding groups for Heroic quests, flashpoints, or even class quests. I got a level 50 Guardian to help me with my last JK quest on Coruscant. Again, it sounds like the PEBKAC bug is in full force, here. You should get that looked at.
  7. Tell that to my liquid cooled system. Under load, my processor (i7 2600k OC'd to 4.8GHz) doesn't exceed 80°C. The GTX 580s occasionally reach 85°C while under load. TOR isn't going to put my system under load, much less cause overheating. Sorry.
  8. Heh. My main's a Rogue. Originally from mid-Vanilla, I race changed to Blood Elf for the racial silence. People still rage at me being a blood elf with a Vanilla pvp title.
  9. No, they weren't bug free. There has never been a single piece of software written in anything more complicated than Basic that was released bug free. Ever. Yet WoW being in year 8 of it's life is STILL riddled with bugs? Some of which have existed since the game's release? *cough* Vanish *cough*
  10. It's not screen tearing, sorry. It's an odd graphical effect. Happened to me in Beta on a Radeon HD 5570, and it happens now on my three GTX 580s. It's not the screen, either, as I'm running a 120Hz screen. Tell me about it! $1600 46" Samsung LED 1080p 120Hz HDTV, and there's a 'stuck pixel?!'
  11. If you encounter a bug, type: /bug and report it. They aren't going to know about bugs that no one tells them about. Also, realize that not one piece of software is without bugs. Even a decade later, Windows XP is still loaded with bugs. In addition, many bugs will not be found until the software is deployed into 'the wild'. Bugs that will take hundreds of thousands of users to pop up and cause issues. Coding is not an exact science, especially for projects like MMORPGs, which have billions of lines of code. Change one little entry in a single line, and you can break hundreds or more lines of code elsewhere. Why is it taking this long to fix? The game's official release was 20 December. FIVE DAYS before Christmas. The Devs and code monkeys have families, too. Not to mention, TODAY is a holiday (1 January 2012). The end of December is a rough time for many when it comes to tech support. Things will get fixed, in time. This is actually normal for MMOs and even single player games (*cough*Skyrim).
  12. Trollers don't tend to solo well. Except maybe certain trollers in City of Heroes (Robotics Trollers are crazy at 50).
  13. Bigots won't be missed. Don't get me wrong, I'm as straight as one can be, but I do not see where you get off dragging your real life bigotry into a game played by millions. Go ahead. Unsub now, and save yourself the 'heartache' of wasting time only to unsub when they do add the same-gender romance arcs. BioWare already stated they are coming in a future patch. Deal with it, or leave.
  14. No. The game starts at level 1, whether you like it or not. This is not Warcraft. I say this as a former hardcore WoW raider (school > raiding), the game gets boring if it's all centered around endgame. New players are not going to stick around long if their leveling process is a buggy mess. If you disagree, you should go back to Counterstrike. Elitists such as yourself will not be missed. Good day.
  15. Bail is a naming violation. Bail is not a name. Bail is a title, akin to Baron or Duke. Just so happens to be from Alderaan. Hence the multiple Bails as seen/referenced in the films (Bail Antilles, Bail Organa, etc).
