  1. I really hope this is a mistake. There is no use in the possiblity to reverse engineer valuable relics, if you can not trade them and only equip one of their kind... My Guildmembers and I started to save the underworld relic tokens since the anouncement, that we will be able to RE them. Our Artificer learnt the schematic, but cant give them to the others. Now we are short several very valuable relics and are hoping for a fix, so that we can finally start crafting the assault relics for our operations group.
  2. i can copy paste my recent post http://www.swtor.com/community/showpost.php?p=6427625&postcount=12, it fits right in: I can confirm this too. Since the announcement that we will be able to RE relics, we collected underworld relic tokens, so we could build the assault relic faster for the whole group. (Easy calculation: 14 player or more need it, chance of 1:5 to learn it). Bad luck, its BoP, which seem pretty unlogical. Why would anyone redeem the token to get a relic and reverse engeneer it (he needs probably 5 of them), to learn the schematic. Then he can once(!) craft the relic again, spending a massive amount of credits, to get the relic, where he just had about 5 destroyed ... ?

  4. ^this has worked for me, everything back to normal
  5. One solution seems to be an unpatched wine-1.5.24 using the swtor_fixed.exe . At least according to user 'marcelo maceratini' in http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=27088 Had no time yet to verfiy this. another good ideas seems to be waiting for an official update, since some win xp users have similar problems with an infinite loading screen. On Topic: A pure linux client would be great. But i cant imagine that this is going to happen. The developers are obviously understaffed and seem to struggle only to keep the windows client playable. I'd rather see some support for wine, since this solution works quite well, most of the time. (At least for me)
  6. I have exactly the same issue, and found no solution to it. To be honest, i just live with it, since i see no way to change that. I startet a suggestion box thread a few days ago, asking for a litte support for the linux community. It quickly got lost in the flood of suggestion. We would need a few more voices would to get heard. "Improve Performance under wine/Linux": http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=586313
  7. Hi everybody, I am fully aware that this game is developed and intended to work only for the Windows operating system. I am also quite aware that the number of players, whose main operating system is not Windows, is propably in the low one-digit percent range. But I am not asking for a full-blown native client for Linux. There have been certain events in the gaming community regarding Linux, lately. And suddenly, with the latest, massive improvement of my graphics driver (could this stand in any relation to these events?) I can play SW:TOR under Linux with almost the same graphics settings and performance as under Windows. This got my hopes up and encouraged me into writing this thread. It was a long and frustrating way to even get the game to launch and log in, but I (and propably hundreds more) managed to do so. I can play the game with nearly the same experience as on its prime platform. It runs stable, and since lately, smoothly too. Nevertheless there are a few glitches that really are annoying. I'm not going further into detail, but for example there is this issue with the launcher that prevents the whole game to run in fullscreen mode or even change the resolution. As I mentioned earlier, I am not asking for a native client. But I wouldnt complain about some small support or fixes for the worst problems. A nice overview how to start SW:TOR under and a nice overview of the nastiest problems can be found on the game page of the wine project: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=27088 thanks, and regards
