  1. For force-sensitive classes, just make the rocket boost a "Force-Sprint." Not only would it look a lot cooler for the Force-Users, but it would allow them to act more like one too.
  2. So This is something that I wrote because I have always thought of these things in my head and wonder what you think. It is kind of a rambling so if you see any grammar errors, please realize that I did this on a phone. I know that it will never happen, but I'm gonna say it anyways. I wish that bioware would take SWTOR and all of its content, and put it in a completely different engine with realistic combat and lightsaber dueling, as well as healing that does the same thing but better looking, and make the game look as good or better than Battlefront. As stupid as that may sound, I can 100% GUARANTEE that not only would it be the best star wars game to date, it would bring MILLIONS of people to the game because of its realism with such a large amount of content, and EA would literally make millions. And then after they did that they could start working on finding a way to bring it to consoles, and EA would make triple the amount they did on PC alone. I'm not saying I hate SWTOR's classic MMO combat style, I just think that making the combat randomized and philysically realistic would put Swtor at the top of gaming itself. Then another thought would be making the player ships personally picked and customized, and also allow the player to FLY their ship to a planet, where a loading screen would start. Then if that was made in the new engine I wish would come true, they could make Swtor basically the greatest rp ever, where there could be player made scenes like a smuggler boarding another player's ship to steal their cargo, or a Jedi Knight capturing a Sith player to gain a giant amount of XP and Credits, and the sith player then has to either give up some credits to just continue what they were doing before the player interaction or choose to go through some sort of procedurally generated story line quest where they go through interrogation or try to escape the prison ship before they are taken to Tython. And then they could also add some sort of mechanic where through a series of procedurally made quests An Imperial or a Republic character could transfer into the opposite faction while attaining the same class. Or make it so say a Trooper wants to become a Jedi, they could go to Tython to undergo training, or visa versa with a Jedi Knight. I know I just did a lot of rambling, and none of what I said may ever come to light, but I know for a fact if Bioware or EA were to read this and do it, SWTOR would become a part of gaming history. And the best part is, Bioware would not have to make a single minute of new storyline to do that because the story they made is already there, and after they finished, they could continue the amazing storytelling they are known for. You can probably tell I've thought about this for a while and that is because it has been a fantasy of mine for this game for 3 years
  3. I find this post absolutely ridiculous. Saying that they are better because they are cooler is not excuse for the Republic characters to lost more than half the time. Balance is the issue, not coolness factor.
  4. I don't want to make a long post, I just want to say that the PvP in SWTOR needs some love. I am not a very big pvp player, and it is not because I do not like pvp, it is because I usually play Republic Characters. I have noticed that going from playing an Inquisitor in pvp to a Sentinal, besides the different abilities, the Inquisitor does a lot more damage, and then I started to realize that unless it is someone on the Republic that is a master at pvp, Imperials are for the most part always doing the most damage AND winning. The only times I have ever won as a Republic character were when I got someone in my game that was able to somehow get the huttball every time and then somehow get both pylons. I have about 650 hours in the game, and literally 2 days ago I got the achievement for winning on the pylon map (cannot remember name) for the first time. And then I started to realize that I had never really played enough pvp as an imperial to ever get the achievement. Anyways sorry for the rambling I just feel as though there is a major bias for Imperials in pvp at the moment.
  5. I just have a quick question, if I play through KOTFE and KOTET, what happens to the decisions I made? Are they reset and whatever I choose in my most recent playthrough determines what will happen in future expansions, or does it stick to my initial decisions in my first playthrough? I just want to know because if it resets my choices then I reallly do not want to replay it and lose all of the decisions I made.
  6. So I was successfully able to get all the way to the very end of EC, and then I came to ZOTAR. I would be JUST FINE IF IT WEREN'T FOR THE LASER BEAM! Sorry it's just that I've spent the past hour on this one boss alone, and every guide says the way to get past the laser is to ACTIVATE DEFENSE COOLDOWNS, but guess what!? I'm playing as the Scoundrel, and so the only defense cooldown I have only works for 3 seconds and it doesn't even work against the laser! And I can't use the kolto stations because there aren't enough of them to survive the laser by the end of all 10 rounds! Can someone PLEASE TELL MY IM MISSING SOMETHING!!!????? PS Sorry for the yelling I'm just extremely tired and frustrated. Thank you for the help.
  7. As the title says, what the heck am I doing wrong in the Eternal Championship? I've watched multiple video guides on how, asked multiple people in-game, tried multiple techniques, and nothing works! People tell me that it's because of my companion, then when I tell them I already have a lvl 50 companion, they have all told me different answers on what combat style to set them to. I have tried healng (can't beat first round), damage (can't get passed first round), tank (can't get passed Nocturno). I have all at least 216 armor, some being 220, and a weapon that still has a 190 barrel (can't find anything better). And yet I can't beat them. I've been able to beat the whole championship with a friend multiple times, but there's no reward in doing it besides the Cybernetic Rancor, so he quit doing it, and now I have to do it by myself to get the Rancor, but can't beat it, even with multiple tries. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG
  8. Is there something my friend and I are missing? We have completed the Story+ Eternal Championship at least 20 times and have not gotten even one drop. It drops in both Solo and Solo+, yet we have not gotten it to drop whatsoever. Is it still glitched or what?
  9. Well I didn't really know where to post this so I just posted it in the best place I thought it could go
  10. Today I logged onto Swtor to do some Heroics with a friend to continue our quest for our guild flagship, and when we traveled over to Odessen to pick up some Heroics we could enjoy, we both became enraged at the fact that they had been nerfed. To our relief we found that the Heroics will be un-nerfed in 4.7, but later in the game's life the Heroics would receive some sort of nerf. Here are my opinions based off of facts that BioWare needs to leave the Heroics alone. 1) Heroics are one of the few "fun" ways to earn credits. Now, I know that there are many ways of going about earning them in the game. In fact, you could sit at the GTN all day if you wanted and attempt to sell items to other players, or you even use multiple characters' crew skills to get items that sell for a good price, etc. But all of these methods are not really that "fun." Whenever I have tried these various methods, I don't feel like I'm playing the game because it's a game, I feel like I'm playing the game because it's one of my daily chores, and that's not what I get online with my friends to do. Heroics were one of the very few ways to earn a fair amount of credits in a fair amount of time without just sitting around with my character staring at the monitor as they go through all of the various items she has to put on sale. I know that there are daily planets that make almost the same amount of credits as the heroics did, but they did not benefit me as much as the Heroics did with my companion alignment and my Alliance alignment. Not only that but there were far more Heroics for me to do which meant that I didn't get tired of doing the same 5 to 6 missions over and over. It seems as though after this nerf that BioWare would prefer to have people play the game as a chore more than as entertainment. 2) Level 65 players should be earning more than 18k for each heroic in the first place. I mean, we didn't get all the way to the end of the game just to be making small amounts of credits. I know that with a group that 18k can add up very quickly, especially with the bonuses (which I love). But as a person that only plays with one other friend 95% of the time, I feel as though we should be making more money than we are. Even scaling it up to 20k would make a difference. It stunned me when I found out that instead of buffing it (just a little tiny bit) they nerfed it more than 50% Half of 18k is definitely not 7k. I know that they tried to do this to stop the market inflation of items, but let's be real here, the reason these items are so much is because of the fact that they are more rare to find. It's like the Dev team thinks that because people are selling items that are extremely rare for more credits that the market is inflating, but in reality, that's impossible. In the US, the market is inflating because of the fact that because companies have to dish out more to make a product, they want more money in return so that their revenue is not affected by it. I'm sorry to tell you guys, but that piece of armor the vendor is selling is not going to inflate because, well, they aren't spending credits to make the thing. The inflation that the devs are mistaking is that people are selling these items for more credits because of the fact that they are rare and so they practically get to chose how much they sell the item for. If I were the only one to own Revan's Mask on the Harbinger, it wouldn't matter whether I put it for 50k or 50 million, the person is just giving me credits so I can buy other things. It's in a virtual world, yet they act like they are printing paper bills like the US and so every time someone has gained a large sum of money in the game through activities that the money will go to someone else and inflate the market, but it's simply not true because it's VIRTUAL MONEY. Lowering the price of one activity in the game that doesn't really leave a mark on the ingame economy is not going to fix anything because the only problem is the fact that the items are so dang rare because they are in a pack that hasn't been around for a long time. 3 - Final) Why the in the heck are you trying to fix the fact that people are earning too many credits by nerfing the heroics? Do you guys at BioWare understand that literally every single time I go to the Fleet I will guaranteed receive some form of mail from another player that says I can pay real money for ingame money. Don'y believe me? Well why don't you take a look at the chat sometime? I mean people only say it every 5 minutes. Do you want to know how they are getting these credits? Well I can start off by telling you it's certainly not because of Heroic's, because those actually require you to play the game. I once found a player using a bot in the Black Hole, just killing the same 3 enemies over and over. Why? Because he could then turn that ingame money that he just got from exploiting the ingame economy and turn it into real, usable cash. Not only do people use bots to, or at least in how you see it, inflate the ingame economy, but they are quite literally using your game to make money of their own. Not just that but there are also people like I said that sit at the GTN all day and make tons of credits, or they use all 20 characters' crew skills to make tons of money. And yet you're going to nerf the one legitimate way for a high level player to both have fun with the game AND make enough credits to afford those endgame items? I mean where's the logic? Do you not fix these cheaters because they are paying you for their subscription? You do realize they are making the money to pay you by exploiting the very ingame economy you sought to fix by nerfing the one thing that was actually a good way to make money without it feeling like a chore, right? Swtor is by far my favorite game of all time, and I continue to support the devs as much as I can and as often as I can, but it now seems like they have given up on trying to make the game fun and would rather have people crowd around the GTN and do Swtor's version of Stock-Marketing. Anyways, if you just read my rambling and I have some facts wrong please tell me. Thanks for reading my first-ever (and hopefully last) Swtor rant. May the Force be with you! Oh, and Bowdaar
  11. According to them they also said that after a while they plan on once again nerfing the Heroics once again. I hate that they are punishing players like me that don't like to credit farm or sit at the GTN the whole day.
  12. I - I just can't believe they did this. My friend and I are not big in the whole credit farming business and we LOVED doing the heroics because not only did they get us companion gifts to sell on the GTN and most importantly money. We were actually using the heroics as a way to save up for a guild flagship, and now BioWare quite literally saw that we were enjoying ourselves while making money and kicked us where no man should be kicked. C'mon BioWare, really? This was a very cheap move on your part and it is in no way going to affect the economy positively as all the credit farmers in the game don't even touch heroics. You guys just gave a big F U to the people who want to play the game legitimately. Please undo this nerf. I was planning on renewing my subscription so I could continue my class stories with all of the benefits and give them some money at the same time, but now it looks like I might not re-sub if they took my 1 legitimate way of earning credits away.
  13. You just saved me from hours of confusion thank you lol
  14. But couldn't I just give the guild to a friend after my subscription runs out and have them give it back? I hate the fact that the guild that I create and put my time into is just going to be reaped from me because I didn't have enough money to shove into Bioware's face. Are there any other prevention tactics I can do without having to completely remove everyone from my guild that I don't trust enough to give it back to me?
  15. My friends and I started a small guild that consists of us and another person that we befriended but do not know that well yet. I am currently the only one out of my 3 friends with a subscription, and when I learned that the guild would be given away to whoever in the guild was still a sub, I became worried. I then learned that I could just give the guild to my friend and then he could give it back, but if we invited any subs to the guild, it would be given to that person. This kind of makes my friends and I scared to invite people in the event that my subscription runs out and I can't afford to renew it. Is there a way to guarantee that the guild master stance stays within us 3? I also have a question about the inviting itself. When my friend invited one of my alts to the guild, it automatically put that character into the rank with the most people, which is our "Leader Alts" rank, instead of the recruit rank. Is this because this character is part of my legacy or is it because that is where recruits go? If it is where they go how do I change it so that new people only go to the recruit rank?
