    Worst WZ

    The only part of Ancient Hypergate that I hate, is the fact that either side is able to earn points without a pylon. They need to make it so the other team can't build up any points unless they have a pylon. I hate seeing my team in the lead, we then double cap them, only for them to take back their pylon and have more points than us for killing all the people who tried to prevent them from capping. It just seems broken to me. They feed us this crap *** story in the beginning about how important the pylons are, when really its about holding 1 pylon and racking up the kills
  2. It's at times like this, I wish that they would allow you to actively gain minor exp and valor for each kill in WZs. Much like in Warhammer. That way you are always gaining something, rather than having to wait at the end of the WZ to earn anything at all. I've been caught in this bug several times, and it annoys me to no end. I don't like wasting my time, and having this happen after a 10+ min WZ (using Valor/Exp Boost) would make anyone rage.
  3. I liked the video, I even have some old 50s on that server. I may have to join in since you guys seem to have more fun than the other servers. I've always thought SWTOR needed a world PVP reward system, like they had in Warhammer. Just seeing Renown, Exp, and Medals (even if it was just a little) for kills always gave me the warm fuzzies for some reason.
  4. While I feel its very important to learn to play the healing part of our class, I've never had any issue's pvping sub 36 and 40. Even had several successful 1v2 moments. I went full Concealment to get acid blade at 40 and loved every second of it. Find someone who can make you a crap ton of grenades too, you'll find them helpful in certain situations I leveled Biochem on my Op and never made any stims/heals for myself until i hit 50. I bought all the sub 50 reusables from the GTN for a fair price ~20k-30k each.
  5. I absolutely agree with this. Right now Lacerate costs a single TA and 10 energy per use. It also costs us several talent points to make it worthwhile. I think that reducing the cost to 5 energy or even free will help out with Concealment's energy management considerably.
  6. This is my 2nd Operative that I leveled to 50 and I never had any issues in PvP in the 10-49 bracket. I kept both Ops decently geared till ~40. I had no issues hitting highest DPS and killing blows either. Maybe a lot of those players were under geared, maybe some of them were just bad (plenty of them out there). Either way, we can still pump out some great numbers and top the damage and killing blow charts. For concealment spec'd Ops we get scary at 36 and deadly at 40. Spend a little money on gearing your guy every now and then. When I was lvl 42, the stars aligned (everything crit) and i blew up a 49 powertech in about ~5 seconds. He messaged me after it happened and we had a laugh about it, he then continued to focus me for the rest of the WZ. We have a pretty clunky rotation and energy management can be a pain in the but sometimes. At lvl 50 we have to work a little harder than most to achieve greatness, but it is possible. I played an Assassin to 50 before I switched to the Op, and I'll never go back. Just keep your chin up and your that vibroknife stabbing.
  7. This thread is making a big deal of nothing. Who cares at this point? It doesn't break the game and it doesn't make the game less enjoyable. If people feel it does, well maybe they need to grow up and stop feeling butt hurt that some people/guilds are earning titles or claiming they can clear all content on HM/Nightmare Mode. Honestly, that's what this complaint really sounds like. There are much bigger issues and bugs that need to be addressed than spending all this bickering on something so minor. This has zero effect in pvp, and most hardcore pve players i know could care less. If you are trying to get Devs aware, you could have simply asked a question or submit a bug report. Also, there is no point in replying or quoting my post as I will not read anymore into this ridiculous thread.
  8. Healing spec'd Ops have always been the hardest for me to kill, let alone solo (at 50)... unless they are under geared or terrible. Their ability to run and heal (themselves) at the same time makes it very difficult to kill 1v1. Combine that with their stuns and combat stealth and a decent player will be able to keep you occupied for a while. To be honest, i really hate seeing them in a 50s Warzone now, as it will normally take 2+ players to kill them. I really don't know why they are getting a buff in 1.2 when i see them out healing many other healers in Warzones. I've been telling our Sorc healer in our guild to roll an Op healer for over 3 weeks now because of this. I don't have any issue killing any other class/spec in the game besides our own healing class. I don't wanna say its a gear issue as I've killed plenty of BM Sorc healers with Champs and 2 piece Rakata Gear. Although I can definitely see Concealment being gear dependent as my DPS went from being sub-par at new 50 to top DPS with just Champ/Rakata weapons alone.
  9. As of right now (1.1.5), i don't think we need a gap closer in PVP as much as we do in PVE. The knock backs from bosses/mobs and the fact that the majority of our burst comes from stealth and being at our opponents back is why we need a PVE gap closer. Now with 1.2 and the nerf with our DPS and pretty much changing our DPS rotation to possibly include more high energy costing ****** attacks, i feel that a gap closer would definitely be needed. Its hard enough to kill geared healers (damn near impossible for me to kill an OP/Smugg healers with our current DPS level and them LOS'ing me, but a drop in our DPS and no gap closer would probably make it impossible. I don't see the point in increasing the CD and energy cost of Backstab, i really don't. Its stupid that we have to use non melee filler abilities (which eat up more energy) until another melee attack is off CD. So what the hell are we suppose to do for the extra 3 seconds? More filler attacks? Spam the low dmg hitting Rifle Shot that gets dodged half the time? Or maybe just stand there and wait? I will still be playing in 1.2 because I'm not an *** hat that screams nerf and quits, but this is 2 nerfs in a row now. I completely understand the first nerf, as it was definitely needed. You're down to 1 more strike. 3 nerfs in a row will probably cancel more subs...just saying. P.S. Gap closer /signed
  10. I've noticed this on several occasions in Warzones. I've had Jedi Consulars attack me from 20+ yards away while I'm stealthed. I definitely think this is a bug, and should be addressed as it is a continuous problem.
  11. 29/0/12 I've been running that spec since early Jan. I run with a Mix of Champ and BM (DPS gear) and still use the shield. I've run Hard-modes (w/focus) with this too with no real issues, besides the tank needing to guard me on some boss fights. We surprisingly never had DPS issues either. I've off-tanked and main tanked with this build as well using Survivor gear. I guess you can say I run this normally because I'm too lazy and cheap to respec. This build or a similar one is great since it has decent damage and great utility and the obvious damage mitigation from Dark Charge. I don't have any real issues against DPS Sorcs and love to go toe-to-toe with them using Force Lightning. I've tried both Deception and Madness. I like Deception for the burst, but i miss being able to use spike out of stealth and being able to pull people back or into the fire. With madness, DoTs and me don't mix. I never felt like I was doing any real damage even though the charts were saying I was. I guess i prefer instant damage vs over time. I've been really burnt out of Warzones lately, so my wife has been doing my dailies for me. She likes the stuns and being able to pull people who try to run away, the 30% force regen helps her out a lot because she likes to spam Lacerate like its cool or something. Either way I feel Darkness spec'd for PVP is very viable. Try it out, if you don't like it there's always Decpetion or Madness.
