  1. ..aha...well, what I really meant was at the loot roll time...not during the fight. We never loot during raids or operations. Our raid/op leader usually has Master Loot set so no one can mistakenly right click which would open loot window. But, that being said, mistakes are still made even after the roll item is identified so folks can decide if they need it. We usually make sure Need first if the current character not only can use the item but really needs it. Not a problem if they are the only one in the group who can use it. But if more than one person can use it then a roll is required. There have been many times we have discovered someone mistakenly rolled when they could not use the item or for some reason misunderstood what the item was and rolled anyway. We try very hard to make sure this function goes smoothly as occasionally, we have a pug in our group for the particular fight. Our raid or ops leaders always explain the loot rules in advance of the start of the fights and since much of the gear is specific to class, etc., most members are aware if that person can actually use the item. We do have tight rules regarding companion, crafting, recipe, and specialty rolls.
  2. That, sir, is a very short answer. Unfortunately, not all of us want to do that. I prefer one spec over the other and don't believe BW should force us into something we are not specced to do. They really need to fix their LFG tool instead. We are paying customers and should not have to do their work for them.
  3. I have had this happen once where I actually got a reply that they were providing me with the comms, but the caveat was that they felt I was not qualified for them in the first place. What????
  4. Unfortunately, this is not always possible. We are a casual guild and there are real life schedules that we just cannot change...so we try to work around them so that everyone who is interested can participate in our guild runs for World Bosses and such. The Nightmare Pilgrim is only one of the several World Bosses who are included in a Weekly Achievement event. Since these are set for a special achievement there really needs to be a way that any group can access them when said group is able to pull together sufficient numbers to do the fights. People in my guild are reaching a point where it does not matter any longer, because of this problem, they have decided it is not worth it to them to continue playing this game. These World Boss issues are only the tip of the ice burgh for our patience levels, especially since BW is not adjusting the game to allow more players access to these type of things. Our thought is this: if it is a World Boss, not attached to an achievement, we are fine with the current state of access. However, since BW has seen fit to attach them to weekly achievements, and not adjusted the ability to access the bosses when we are able to pull together a group, we feel it is counter productive to the game experience.
  5. Yesterday three of us were trying to find a healer for our HM FP so we decided to use the UFG. Hmmmmph !! What a mess. It took us 4 times of breaking group and resetting our UFG settings before regrouping and trying to get the darn thing to work right. Only on one of these attempts did the Save Changes button even light up for me. Don't know about the others...and even though I am dps, the heals button just kept lighting up anyway. Finally it worked ....well, sort of... Once we got it together we were teleported into the instance only to have our tank disconnect shortly before the end of the third set of npcs we had to fight.... end of run !!! So not only does this LFG tool not work very well, but the game still wants to disconnect players during high activity points no matter where you are in your progression. That is another story and I am tired of reporting it and having BW keep telling me it is my system when it is NOT on my end.
  6. It appears we are being ignored, once again. I really do not think BW cares at all about the gamers....only about the $$ they receive for play. I feel that without any type of clear communications regarding the many issues in the game, I will probably not continue to play much longer.
  7. I am not a big fan of addons. BW actually has a lot in place that could be unlocked for players to adjust things the way they want. I think if I could ask for just one thing that I would like to see implemented it would be the Target-of-my-Target ability. This is a very useful tool to target and heal your tank through the targeted enemy and conversely, as you target your tank for healing purposes, be able to just damage his target through him. Another item that is useful is misdirect. Now that is a great dps tool! I loved it when I was able to cast a misdirect on my pet or tank and have all the aggro I garnered with my attacks be redirected to the tank or pet.
  8. There have been several situations where a specific piece of gear or unassembled item token was rolled on mistakenly by a raid/group member that another member actually can use but did not win. Many times we have had that happen in the process of an operation or boss fight and wanted to trade it over to the other person who really could use it. In our groups we have often wished that we could trade between ourselves just to provide a specific BoP item to that group member. A solution would be to offer the opportunity to trade it between all members who were present in the group; if you limit it to just those members who were actually participating in the activity the item dropped in and for a short window of time (say about 24 hours), that would solve this problem.
  9. I like the suggestions of the previous three posts very much. I also have been wondering why all we have in game are "fight" type quests where you have to fight said mob in order to get to the prize. I would love to see diplomacy missions as quests where you are given an opportunity to use diplomacy to acquire your prize instead of fighting a mob or champion. Also some of the most fun I had were in one of the Belsavis heroics where we pitted droids against a Jedi master and jumped in to finish off the last one standing to finish up the quest. That was just so much fun...you not always got to the goal without dying at least once. Unfortunately, that particular setup has been changed so that the particular quest does not allow for the droids to aggro the Jedi master or visa versa any longer. I was so disappointed to see that change. It would be really nice to be able to sneak into a quest area without the use of stealth because you just don't have that ability. I like being able to sidle past things without aggroing everything in site from two rooms away. Patience and timing in a situation as this is paramount ...and it can get tricky of you mis-time when to move once a pather walks past. Too soon and wham, he gets you or too late, you run into his partner just a few steps behind him. Earning distinctive Ambassador titles for accomplishing a difficult diplomacy mission without a fight for a change would be very interesting.
  10. This is a nice wish list...however, I have a feeling we won't be seeing anything like this anytime soon. SWTOR has so many bugs that I would prefer they be fixed first. But then, I am just a player and BW doesn't even respond to any of my suggestions. Good luck, hope they read and actually consider responding to you about this.
  11. I agree ^^ I enjoy healing and recently started to learn how to dps. Both are interesting in their mechanic requirements. Very exhilarating when a group performs well together and manages things flawlessly. However, that scenario is few and far between. I usually only experience that in my own guild group with our mumble chat for voice communications. I think the one thing I really miss is seeing a proc box pop up or an ability box start flickering to indicate it is now ready to use as an instant due to a recent proc activity. The other thing I really wish could be done is have the buff/debuffs more noticeable even on raid frames. Currently the raid frame setup is clunky and very difficult to use. I've turned tab targeting off...it really can cause a wipe if you tab the wrong mob at the wrong time. Mouse over is something I really could use, but I think particularly useful would be a "target-of-target" capability where you target your tank for heals and in between heals can cast damage through him to whichever mob he had targeted.
  12. This is a great question....I too, would like to see perks bound to legacy instead of just the character.
  13. Will there be adjustments made to the "Weekly Achievement" missions for the various world bosses? As it sits now our guild has either missed the spawn time due to the timer not being up, or showed up after another group just downed the boss and that places the boss back on a 2-4 hour timer which, unfortunately, we cannot fulfill because of group scheduling conflicts after the time we already were able to group.
