1. Do I really need to devote a ton of time to crafting/ upgrading items/ getting new gear? I can only play for 6-8 hours per week and when I do I'd prefer to be doing quests. Can I get through the game without too much difficulty if I just equip what I pick up from enemies? 2. Is there only one correct way to pick the skills/ use the abilities for each class? I've seen lots of people posting guides describing how to pick your skills and how to play as each class, but I have no interest in listening to that. What is the point in even having choices if there is only one right answer? Am I going to be crippling myself if I just pick and use the skills that I want/ like? Background: SWTOR is my first MMO. I have never been interested in MMOs, but I couldn't resist the chance to experience all this SW content. I don't particularly care about being the best or competing with other players, but I'd like to be able to experience all the stories the game has to offer without dying every two minutes.
