  1. PVP-wise it is a great mobility skill to be able to charge a target on a short to medium range with an applied interrupt ability. We will see if the trade off will be worth this loss of short range charge/ interrupt flexibility
  2. This and ever again this! Any other opinion on a sentinel´s viability has nothing to do with consistent experiences. It´s about the sentinel´s extreme dependencies of the overall group or warzone meta. This class reacts much more on any disbalance in comparison to the above mentioned classes for instance.
  3. Thx for putting things straight with this and the previous posts. It´s been overdue.
  4. I tend to hyperventilate over such contradictions. You were delivering this solution "... but again I´d just play a different spec...". I wouldn´t have bothered if you just have asked (despite ignoring other threads with topics of these issues). But it sounded to me like "Stop whining and play something else". Watchman has been a masterpiece of singletarget-damage-delivery with an excellent 2% heal ability in the beginning and for whatever reason has turned into a specc whose purpose or assignment in pvp isn´t that clear to me anymore (or simply doesn´t exist).
  5. Civilised discussion? Ah, I was on the wrong track. I was thinking, this thread was about dot-spreading and not dot-using itself. I had the impression you didn´t know what you´re talking about and you hadn´t read the many threads that answer your specific questions. My fault. Enjoy your knowledge.
  6. If you´d have played all skill trees to their full potential, you wouldn´t ask and search for an explanation. So, obviously you are somewhat clueless, aren´t you? There are several threads wich point out the differences and reasons. You haven´t read them. Your solution "If-you-don´t-like-it-leave-it" is great though. Why bother with players, who just can´t fathom, why on earth it was so necessary to twist and to butcher this specific skill-tree, wich was one of the most fascinating to me? PVP-wise: It will be much fun to jump in every bunch of players to drive this tree to it´s full potential. Jump and run in! That´s what every melee should go for. Charge the bunch! Go for it! It´s good for you! Do it! Run los of your healer! Run into every root and cc that exists to keep melee at bay. Why not? You can dot-spread now and enjoy this new, awesome and absolutely unwanted fragmention of a once successful skill-tree to something bewildering and weird. But you´re right, mate. Not your problem. It´s mine, obviously. I´ve to adapt to or just leave it. Good philosophy, really. It´s so simple, isn´ t it?
  7. PVP-perspective: That ´s it. (Juyo) Try to apply a force sweep in a wz where pts, sorcerers und bounty hounters, snipers are running around (keeping you at bay). If they´re smart, they won´t be hugging each other, but keep at least half distance to the next one. If they are actually idiots and stay close to each other, just be the idiot to jump into the crowd. Let´s see what happens. Let´s see how long the dot-spread, if you succeed to applying it anyway, will keep you alive in a root, stun and focus-fire melangerie. (As I will be forced to do this in order to not suffering the actual heal debuff, which your tricky new healing-option will bring on.) So far I´m trying to attack anyone in the peripherie of the battle scene, trying to not get too much attention of all these range dds I don´t want to lay out my tactics to an aoe-rotation, hoping to spread out dots. But as a dd I have to do this to deal the highest pressure possible. To achieve this there´s no alternative but to apply aoe-attacks as often as possible as it stands now. I´d rather want to apply for instance a real heavy dot/ slash combo on just one target, with an appropriate output, to be able to deliver pressure on this target. (and occasionally being able to place an aoe-skill with a mediocre output). Regarding the present pvp-wz-meta, I don´t want to be forced to jump into a group of range dds with kiting-abilities and the abilities to root and slow you to death.
  8. Ja. Ist eine solide QOL-Verbesserung, ohne zu viel zu machen.
  9. Hard time in pvp? Seeking to stay alive for some more seconds?^^ In this case Juyo is a good and solid answer for random battlegrounds. It´s fast skillwise (except for the ramp up time - but no great procc or time window thingy^^) and it keeps working for you while beeing cced f. e.. Juyo is about qol.^^ If there is no heal or good heal in your group and you´re experiencing these circumstances repeatedly, go for Juyo. It will provide you with some more seconds... for anything. You´ve got some mobility and interrupts (f. e. due to the shortened force jump). But it´s not worse than for any other melee class It is as it is for any of them: No fiddling around, just reacting, moving and keeping the eyes open. Going with a premade group? Ataru and you will have much fun. No compromise there.
  10. Das könnte vielleicht was für meine Sig sein... Deine Verzweifelung bekomm ich da aber wohl nicht rein.
  11. This post puts it straight. Every ranked Ataru Mara with an appropriate team setup behind him will tell you, that Ataru is just fine as it is, though. Solo listing random wz players won´t be having the same experience, I fear.
  12. + Yepp. PVP-wise stuns, roots, slows, mezzes don t hurt that much anymore
  13. I´ll take it as constructive criticism and not as one of that fuc*** whiner´s threads. You haven t come here to sing this old song, have you? So, like you, I´m quiet surprised how many sents are out there not being able to put their class to its max. They´re dds. As such they have to deliver max pressure. They´re supposed to do that, aren´t they. (Not being completely blind to objectives, though) I´m playing watchman for some days now. Just to try it out since the 2.5 changes. Actually I think no one wants to see a watchman nowadays...nice numbers...but...I do not provide the same amount of brutal force like a focus-sent. In focus stance I can deliver much more pain. But as a watchman or combat sent I get the real fun out of this class. Actually I´m using my LS to deal the main damage and not an aoe attack. But it is at is...BW has designed this class that way....an autocritting aoe-attack deals the highest damage within the shortest time. Eventually I´ve to ask me "With which one am I going to help my group out the best in every wz/ arena?"
