  1. Well, it's relative, of course, but I think its a year. At this point, a year should be enough to get the serious issues out of the way and start refinements. I imagine that won't go over well with the ragequit whiners in the crowd, but I'm realistic... Look back at WoW's patchnotes a year after launch - they were still fixing major issues and adding key feature content... TOR is not WoW, so they can't just stand on their shoulders and "make a better MMO." It'll take time. I'm just glad we have these amazing class stories to play through - that'll take plenty of time while they work out the kinks required to effectively get into endgame content.
  2. Oh, man - this has been bugging the crap out of me, too... It seems like you can't abandon them because they're "umbrella" quests that are meant to be complete once you complete some other stuff, and I don't think you can just pick it up again if you abandon it. Just a theory. But, yeah - there has to be a way to handle these and get them out of our logs because they're really annoying.
  3. 8 digits... and is it a 30 second refresh? I think it's 30 seconds (with a little padding)... You could do it if you called her when you're leaving.
  4. yeah it was here, but they removed it because the high traffic was crushing the forums... which is kinda strange because it seems like nobody searches for anything.
  5. Exactly. I've seen people who work in IT and keep "secure" random keygen passwords and think they're safe get hacked, lose all their gear, have stuff stolen from guildbanks, and take weeks to get sorted out and even then not be back to 100% where they were. Typing in an 8-digit number when you log in takes a few extra seconds. SECONDS - a COUPLE of them. In return your account is absolutely secure, impossible to access from another place. That's a decent benefit if you ask me.
  6. No kidding. Serious suck to be them, but I can't help but laugh. Patience! You must learn patience. Mine's being sent to my office (where I receive all my stuff because nobody's home to receive it), but I won't be in tomorrow OR Monday, so I won't get it until Tuesday anyway, heh. /shrug
  7. As others have said - BootCamp is the only way to go. I'd do it myself if I had a larger SSD in my MBP - instead I'm chained to my desktop PC.
  8. Yeah I got a status update email from them yesterday and let out an audible "whoop" that frightened my gf. Very cool.
  9. Happy Birthday SR! I got you.... FORUM RAGE!!!! Enjoy! Heehee jk - awesome job. Hope you get to enjoy your birthday away from all this!
  10. I don't think so. >< I can't stand it!
  11. I get much better frames in WoW than TOR, as well - I think it's just harder on the GPU. Once you've backed everything off to low, the only thing to do from there is drop your screen res a bit. I'm gonna cave and get a new video card - that's probably the only thing that'll get you the kind of fps you see in WoW.
  12. Actually, everything is going perfectly. The only problem is people who don't read well and then call the waaaambulance when their mistaken assumptions are not met. For people that knew this was how it was going to work (and anyone who actually read the information available knew this was exactly how it was going to work, only it wasn't supposed to start until tomorrow), the only problem is all the noise on the forum.
  13. Ah - I stand corrected. Good to know so I don't run around wondering where the heck he is! Thanks.
  14. In beta there was one in the fleet space station - IIRC on the inner side of the ring near the crew skill trainers.
