  1. I've suggested on these boards that social points should also be given for completing objectives while grouped as well since I spend more time actually chatting and being social while doing that rather than doing the bookend conversations for each quest. I got a lot of positive responses but also a surprising amount of negative ones from people who love the current system and insisted that I was lazy and wanted something for nothing. I share the viewpoint that the social points should be a reward for socializing with other players though and would love to be rewarded for it as well.
  2. Found the post: http://www.swtor.com/blog/why-unify-color-chest-piece-gone-and-whats-next
  3. It was already addressed in a sticky when the game first came out. They took out the feature because it was preventing the feel of gear progression. It's not coming back.
  4. Go hide in a corner of your house. Wait for your sister/mom/dad/dog/whatever to come in the room. Start waving and dancing at them. Can they see you? Are you still calling the designer daft?
  5. Exactly. The way it works right now, I gain social points at such a slow rate that it actually removes all incentive to get the rewards. By the time I got social 2 on my first character, I was about level 37 and that was after running through every flashpoint up to Foundry 2-4 times each plus a bunch of heroics. Seeing the social IV or social VII requirements for some of the items just made me laugh and give up on trying to gain social points entirely.
  6. Social points need to be awarded for completing mission objectives in a group as well as the conversations. It should only apply for members of the group who both have the mission and it is not gray to them to prevent some kind of easy farming issues. Groups should also both have to be in the same general vicinity so that you don't have groups forming up while one person is out doing the quests and everyone else sits in town picking their noses. I've done tons of flashpoints and heroic quests in groups but didn't hit social level 2 until completing the foundry flashpoint for the second time. This is because the number of conversations during most flashpoints between black talon and boarding party have nearly no conversations for gaining the social points. A lot of heroics don't even have conversations to end the missions, just drop boxes. I'm being far more social with the community while running the missions in a group than I am watching/spacebarring through a conversation and pushing 1,2, or 3. A lot of the time people don't group up until after getting the flashpoint or heroic quest, so no social points are gained there. Also, a lot of the time groups break up after finishing heroics so they can complete objectives while out in the field because going all over the planet trying to turn in the heroics they built up. Consequently, we're not getting social points while being social. Give us the social points even if we're not doing conversations together and I think you'd increase the number of people willing to do heroics and foster a stronger community. This will keep people playing the game longer. What do you have to lose Bioware?
  7. Shoulder slam uses the jetpack to propel your heavily armored shoulder into a mob. Flame sweep uses the jetpack to spin you quickly while flame shoots out of your wrist. Jet boost uses the jetpack to knock away nearby enemies. Death from above uses to the jetpack to give you height to rain rockets and blaster fire on a wide area. Rocket punch uses the jetpack to propel you fist first into someones chin. Jet charge uses the jetpack to jump you to an enemy. That plenty.
  8. Nothing? You mean like "Battle Readiness: Now allows Combat Technique to trigger once every 3 seconds." Do you fail so badly at everything you do?
  9. Perhaps you could tell what server you are seeing this on so that people can see for themselves instead of just disregarding you as a hater.
  10. Yes. Everything is on max. I don't know exact FPS, but I don't have any noticeable issues with frame rates dropping.
  11. Why are you for social points being awarded for just killing stuff in a group but not for completing objectives?
  12. I spend far more time talking to other players while trying to complete heroics and flashpoints than I do while going through turn in conversations. I guess our definitions of "social" differ because for me being social is when I'm talking to other players and creating kill orders and such, not when I'm waiting for them to reach the same conversation with me and pressing a couple buttons while we watching our characters talk. As far getting social points for killing mobs that someone else suggested. I completely disagree with that. I think getting social points for completing objectives is more than enough. It would keep social point gain for heroics and flashpoints at about the same level as current Black Talon/Esseles runs, which I like to think is the desired rate by the game designers.
  13. Well, my thinking was that you'd only get about # of party members completing the same objective points per objective. That adds up pretty quickly considering all the bonus objectives and how many objectives are completed in each flashpoint since each boss is an objective. That's why gray quests aren't really necessary. It'll keep people from power social leveling on daily heroics on low level planets.

  15. I found that boss loot chests don't unlock when you wipe facing that boss. I don't know if it's a feature or a bug or if it's just a coincidence and I'm just really unlucky.
