  1. Hey, just looking for some general tips on how to heal effectively during FP's. I just unlocked Innervate, the channeled heal and was wondering how to use it along with my other abilities optimally. I find myself just sort of spamming on Resurgence and Innervate, and never really touching Infusion unless someone gets low and they need a big, quick bump. For some reason it just feels like I'm doing it wrong, or not healing very efficiently.
  2. Nope, I know about that. I'm level 32 on Alderaan so I've been using a rotation centered around that for awhile now. I mean literally, Chain Lightning is ALWAYS an instant cast. I even waited a good minute after a fight before engaging more enemies, and used CL as my initial ability. It casted instantly. Played for 3 hours like that. Must be some kind of glitch.
  3. Just noticed that my CL's ability text has changed to "Instant", and is doing just that everytime I go to use it. It's pretty nice, and cool, but I don't remember doing anything with my build recently that would've done this. Even checked through my tree to see if there was some hidden text I neglected to read, but nope. Has this happened to anyone else?
  4. I prefer to not look at things so black and white. Take Scourge for example, he said he will always be Sith, but he recognizes that there is a threat that needs the attention of more than just one person or group of people. My Sorc isn't just a "Sith," they're a person, in fact I like to think the only reason they are Sith is because they were a slave and sort of forced into it.
  5. Well I've leveled a Sorc to 15 since my OP, and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I also tried leveling a Sage but by the time I hit level 10 I was already bored of the same old look of my animations. I suppose it's pretty shallow of me to like one class more simply based off the look but I don't care, haha. It's a shame, I prefer going Lightside so far. I always have on my characters in any Star Wars game I'm given the choice. I do enjoy the Darkside (my favorite part of my Warrior was on Dromund Kaas when I told those merc/smuggler characters that I was going to kill them and eat them, haha) but with my Sorc I'm going for the whole "Reformed slave who is given the chance to inflict pain and suffering on others in revenge of what happened to me while being a servant, but doesn't" sort of thing.
  6. Huh, it's funny because I think nearly exactly the same as you when it comes to Assassins/Shadows, only the oppsite. I feel that hurling boulders and telekinesis would be rather flimsy as a main source of damage, so I'd pair them up with a double-bladed lightsaber and use them only occasionally (maybe as a finisher or as I'm closing distance). I feel like channeling lightning into my enemies would be a lot more damaging then tiny pebbles =P and as such I could just stand back and wreck havoc with my raw force power as a Sorc.
  7. The way I'm playing my game at the moment is that whatever class, and AC, I choose on one faction is mirrored in the other. So I've got a Sentinel on my pub side and a Juggernaut on my Imp side. I'm beginning to delve into the Inq/Con base class and was wondering what some people thought of these classes asthetics. I realize there's very little difference in gameplay between a Sorcerer and a Sage, howerver I feel that blasting enemies with lightning would be a lot cooler than blasting them with... Er, whatever it is Sages blast people with. Just pure, raw Force I suppose. However on the other hand, Sage healing would make more sense in my eyes, as opposed to a Sorcerer who goes around frying his foes suddenly stopping to heal a comrade. Thoughts? I'm having a lot of difficulty with this decision and hopefully some input from the community can help me choose. I've rolled to 14 as an Assassin so far and it's fun, what with charging your lightsaber with electricity and what-not, but I feel envious when I see a Sorc just throw out bolts of electricity from afar and cook his opponents.
  8. Phew, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'll try specing into Watchmen when I log back in, and it's funny because for the first time I didn't pick biochem as my crew skill. I figured I wanted to try a change of pace since I've always used biochem on all my other characters. xD Figures.
  9. I'm level 32, a Sentinel, and I'm finding that even when facing just one strong mob, maybe a level higher than me, I'm getting taken down to about 35-40% health. I feel like this shouldn't be, as I'm consistently keeping my gear up to date by running FPs and spending my planet commendations every time new gear is available. I was almost solely specced into Combat but I'm now changing into a bit of a hybrid between the three trees to see if I fare any better. I'm going 2/5/15. I don't mind having to stop fighting every few groups of mobs to heal up, but I'm starting to have to stop after every group, and in some cases if there's two strong enemies in the group I get extremely close to dying. Like within 100 HP. Though in other cases I find myself being able to cut through one gold and be left with half HP. So is there anything anyone could recommend I try doing? Maybe a build or rotation or something, or is this really just how the class is supposed to be? I know DPS = Low survive-ability but so far since I've been running into these problems I've found the class to be a lot less satisfying and fun.
  10. I`ve really enjoyed the idea of making and managing my own guild, but to be frank I suck at this game. And to be perfectly honest I`m completely fine with that. Im not really sure how to go about running a guild, but thankfully, with my guild at least, it will not be solely my burden to bare. No, it shall be everyones! From the higher ranking individuals right down the recruits, you`re all part of the machine that makes this guild work, or eventually work anyhow. So I`ll be straight up with everyone. I`ve got a very sporadic internet connection that tends to crap out a lot but I fight through it and try to perform to the best of my abilities in all aspects of the game. I won`t be the best player in the guild, ha, not even close. I`m sure a vast majority of players will be better than me, but that`s fine. This guild that I hope to create will be more about community than anything. It`s for this reason that I would like to personally extend an invitation to anyone who is interested in forming a guild with me and my significant other. Like I said above, I suck at this game, and so I feel it would be hypocritical of me to impose an experience requirement to join my guild. So anyone is welcome, and almost all positions are available for everyone to apply for, should you be interested. As it stands I`ll be the Guildmaster, and do my best to fulfill whatever duties that position will entail. Though maybe to alleviate some potential future stresses, and help get this baby rollin` I`m looking for some individuals who would be interested in heading some of the various departments or sectors this guild will hopefully one day have. As such I`ve already delegated off the position of Webmaster to my significant other and currently the other department heads I`m looking for are: Guildmaster: Me (FILLED) Co-Guildmaster: TheMidnightScene (FILLED) Webmaster: TheMidnightScene (FILLED) Head of Recruitment: (OPEN) Head of PvP Content: (OPEN) Head of PvE Content: (OPEN) Now like I said I`m not sure how well this will all pan out and work, so I`m very open to suggestions and am aware that I may need to breakdown or create new departments as the need arises. At the moment I may not even need any other department heads or departments at all! I`m just putting this section here in case anyone is interested in these immediate positions, as I feel without events in both PvP and PvE aspects of the game, there won`t be much to do once we have members, and if we can`t keep members than really we won`t be a guild at all. (P.S. I apologize for the shotty grammar and spelling. Unfortunately I`m writing this from a relatives laptop that`s got some serious issues haha. In the future ill almost always be writing updates and such from my computer at home where I strive to write as neatly as possible.) ::EDIT:: Also, thanks to a poster on reddit, I forgot to add that we`ll be on The Harbinger and at the moment we`re looking to open this guild on the Republic side, though I`m hoping in the very near future if things take off we`ll open a Imperial branch as well.
  11. My friend is pretty new to MMO's and he's gone ahead with a Sith Inquistor and planning to spec into Sorc. Since he's new to MMO's I'm assuming he'll go into the more DPS side of the class as opposed to the healing, and I was wondering what would be a good class to play with him? I've been trying a Jugg, and it's fun, but he doesn't play as much as me and I'm loving the Warrior story. I'd really like to continue it but I can't because I don't want to get too far ahead of him. We wanna level to 50 together. So what would be an alternative class for me to play as to compliment his playstyle? I was thinking maybe a Marauder, but then playing through the same story a second time might make the experience a little more boring for me. Does the story change drastically enough to warrant a second playthrough as the opposite alignment?
  12. In my opinion healers are the most talented yet under appreciated players and it's actually quite annoying. If there ever happened to be a mass sub cancel because of healer issues I might very well unsub myself despite being a DPS. Healers are crucial to any game, they literally make or break you. I cannot count the number of times my team has won in a WZ simple because we had a phenomenal healer that continually kept us alive and kicking. It's always a joy to see a couple healers in my games, but I completely understand why people don't roll them. I've considered trying it myself but I feel I'd be too incompetent. Im not very quick with a mouse either so actually selecting my teammates, then figuring out which heal to pop, or which shield to use (I've never rolled one so I've barely any idea what moves they have. This medal business needs to be swapped around. Healers need to be consitently getting more medals then DPS. Idk about tanks. I feel they're not as useful. Sure they can take a lot of damage, and with a healer backing them they're quite the formidable sight, but even I've been able to take flak from 2 or 3 opponents as my Sorc and kept quite safe by a single healer.
  13. I felt like maybe that was at the least a part of the cause. I'm not the best at PvP like I've said but I could do fairly well in previous games, and today I tried some more and went 39 and 0 in Alderaan Civil War.
  14. True, and I'm fine with that. It's what I expect going into any PvP. Even if later down the line I become quite good at it I'll still go in expecting to die. It happens, and I'm perfectly fine with that. I'm just curious as to how I could improve, and what it was that I was potentially doing wrong in that match. Because I've had bad games where I die a lot and have a tough time doing much of anything, which is to be expected of a new player, and then there's good games where I actually feel pretty good about my performance. Then there was this, which I was completely surprised by. I didn't mind, wasn't upset. Just didn't know what happened. I actually felt completely powerless and was curious as to what happened.
  15. I wasn't ************, just sharing an experience and seeing what it is I did wrong, as I'm very new to PvP and don't know many things. Learn to read, and comprehend, good sir.
