    Ignoring the feedback

Millions of people quit the game since release because they refused to lower the amount of fighting. If you do a quick google search you will find hundreds of complaints about mob density and amount of trashmobs as well as time to kill. They don't care. When i played the game at release with my friends this was the reason why everyone quit, Mind you we have played other MMOs before but none of them threw this many unavoidable fights at you and none of them had trash mobs that soaked up this much damage. Let me give you an example here: In WoW you get a quest to collect 10 items. What do you do? You get on your mount, ride to the area (without ANY forced fights mind you) you round up the trash and burst them down, loot, done. The quest is done. You ride back to the npc, again with no interruptions and hand it in. That's it. In WoW you go and seek out fights. There is almost no area in this game where they force you to fight and as a result people enjoy the combat. And even if, and that's a big IF, you aggro some trash along the way you can simply ride past them, they will not dismount you. Now look at SWTOR: Quest to go into that cave. Enter cave, fight 50 trashmobs that are unavoidable. They all come in packs of 3-5 and are placed in such a way that you cannot avoid them. In one quest in SWTOR you are forced to fight more enemies than in one entire area in WoW and every mob takes longer to kill individually than any of the mobs in WoW. So 50 mobs per cave, now add 10 other quests to that list and the countless times you get dismounted. So for each planet you fight half a thousand mobs. I have even played some asian grind games like Black Desert Online but you know what? Combat in those games is over very quick, you feel powerfull and it is fun to kill stuff there. Here it is just a slog. This was a big topic on the forums pretty much since release. They never changed anything in that regard. Trash mobs killed the game.
  2. God forbid they make new abilities. I have been saying this for a long time: They are just reshuffeling the same game mechanics since 2011, Not a single new class or ability in 11 years.
  3. You like what was released in 2011 by good devs wich have all moved on to other companies. People are talking about Nu-SWTOR wich is terrible. On topic : I tried to do a playthrough on sage healer only to find out that force lift is now a level 60+ ability. Force lift is crucial for hero missions and golden mobs still have 200% more hp than they should have. By the time i reached Alderaan i have had enough. Hacking away at a golden mob for 5 minutes isn't what i would call fun. Leveling up makes you weaker every single level up until 80. Every class feels incredibly weak and combat is an absolute slog, zero power fantasy. My age old complaint of too many forced fights didn't get adressed either, on the contrary it got worse. It is a method of hiding lack of content. They call it an xpac...lol, lmao even. Wow just released an xpac. A continent full of areas, factions, quests, dungeons, raids and stuff. That deserves the name xpac. This is a minor patch with terrible changes to progression and ui. Oh but we have dualspec now lol, they finally figured out how to create a new table in the database. They haven't figured out how to prevent the animation glitch with lightsabres staying in your hand when you destroy objects though....since 2011...here is hoping they can figure it out in the next decade. https://imgur.com/sb4S1aR
  4. Idk what you are talking about. I am currently leveling as a sage healer and i can do hero missions no problem. Either you are underleveled or you waste too much focus on damage. Just put your 2 dots on a mob and then put up shields for you and your companion, then heal as needed. Maybe throw out some interrupts or rockthrows.
  5. Funny, when the game came out the word toxic didn't even exist and people were just fine.
  6. I was just fighting my way through half a million mobs in those illum mines and by the end i completely forgot why i went in there. Update2: Playing Kotfe tight now, my god. Endless Skytroopers, endless glitches, endless sound/animation-bugs, immortal enemies...feels like a janky unity game. Bioware lol. Edit. I might have found a solution here, i just run to the end of the area, die, ressurrect and then continue with the quest. Edit2: They "fixed" the only method making this game bearable by making enemies with endless aggrorange and questitems non interactable while in combat, you can't die in combat either, i tried.
  7. Fight billions and billions and billions of trash every five yards but suddenly...OH NO YOU ARE ABOUT TO ENCOUNTER A SERIOUS PLOT POINT : Have billions and billions of trash every TWO yards now with some dramatic music playing. Or here is another gem: WHAT? YOU THREW OFF THAT GOLDEN MOB AND INSTAKILLED IT? NOOOOOOOOO YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE ENGAGED FOR A LONGER PERIOD OF TIME ! PATCH THAT OUT IMMEDIATELY, NO FUN ALLOWED. What do you mean double soundbug since beta? Does fixing that make people play more? No? Well into the trash it goes. "Quick disable this thing so we can send in reinforcements!"...disables thing. no reinforcements, "Quick disable next thing so we can secure the area!"....disables thing, "reinforcements" stroll in and stand next to you while you fight respawning enemies, they don't help...."Quick disable the boss so we can send in the bois"....kill boss...no bois, mission over. "What you want to run through the endless trash and just ignore it? Nuh uh, let's increase the aggro range to...50 BILLION MILES and make all quest objects inactive while in combat ! What do you mean you just want to be done with it? THROW ENDLESS SKYROOPS AT HIM !"...."W-what is he doing now? He's just standing there...he wants to get killed on purpose. QUICK LOWER THE DAMAGE AND INCREASE THE HP OF OUR TROOPERS SO HE CAN'T DIE AND SIMULTANIOUSELY INCREASE THE ENGAGEMENT METRICS !"..."Brilliant, sir." So there is this mission where you have to disable a force field. You have to follow those 3 cables and ofc you have to fight golden mobs all day, unavoidable. Then one cable leads down and in order to see where it goes you have to jump off the plattform, so you see the cable and it leads back up the plattform but there is no way up but take this massive detour. This is simply done to waste your time, like everything else in this game. You can recruit these sidecompanions and to do so you just have to ride arround on your speeder for about 2 hours while the code for tooltips and questmarkers is dying right in front of your eyes. This must be the "oh it doesn't work? Yeah whatever who cares"-school of development. - "Game Designer"
  8. The animation bug where you destroy something with your lightsaber and then it stays in your hand is still in the game since beta. What makes you think they would fix anything ever?
  9. Putting in level 65 mods on a level 60 planet and doing less damage than with level 60 mods is completely fine bro. Just play 200 hours and hop on the gear treadmill to get stronger than you were at level 10 bro. Sorry i am a fan of rpgs so this is not fine at all.
  10. Level synch is just terrible anyway. You never feel like you get stronger, items are irrelevant. In fact you get weaker over time. Completely kills the rpg progression of this MMORPG but then again it's a dress up simulator now anyway.
  11. She's just awfull and so is SoR and everything after Kotet. Every sensable solution gets handwaved away with flimsy excuses. You're railroaded into these convoluted storylines without any regard to the pc personality or the choices you made in this and past Star Wars games. Everything gets thrown in there for recognizability sake choices be damned. And what's with the stuff post Kotet anyway. Rush through 3 tropey missions and then grind your eyes out for some cosmetics. I guess you don't have to do real content when the dress up simulator people shell out enough cash to keep the devs employed. The writing is just godawfull. I rejected every new companion they introduced because i would have died of cringe otherwise. I guess hiring your friends from deviantart is cheaper than professionals.
  12. When i put on a high 286 ilvl sword on ossus and compare it with a 232 my character stats get worse with higher itemlevel. The scaling seems to be based on percentage of itemlevel.
  13. Play Kotet/Kotfe with a force user and then just stop. Everything post Kotet is just awfull. Coincidentally this is when the woke kicked in.
  14. As i said more reshuffeling 10 year old content. I really want to be an mmo dev one day, easiest job in the world.
  15. Those games have way less enemies and much lower ttk. Just did Illum and no joke i must have fought more trash in that one base than the entirety of my last wow leveling expiereince. Once i killed the trillions of trash reinforcement droids arrived and stood 2 feet of me watching me fight the respawn. They didn't even help. Zero immersion. There are rooms where you can't see anything but enemy nameplates. The game is the worst grind i have ever seen and all the mobs have too much hp. No autohit, clunky combat, zero powerfantasy and the downscaling (wich makes gear obsolete) are all in place to spit in your face and laugh at you. It is plain insulting. This game is 10 years old now and there are still bugs from day one. Lazy, condescending devs will do that to a game.
