  1. Really now? SWTOR wishes that is could do HALF as well as LOTRO. 5+ years, working on their 4th expansion, THE BEST on line player base I've ever had the joy of encountering, a Dev team that actually listens to its players and servers that aren't complete ghost towns. I've seen more people in Bree town alone than I have on MY WHOLE SWTOR server these past two months. SWTOR had some great ideas on paper but BW totally frakked the execution.
  2. Agree 100%. You don't start slashing peoples jobs not even half a year out of the gate on the biggest hyped mmo in years unless something is really wrong. Add in EA's, "well, SWTOR is a important IP, just not as important as a golf game" point of view is a disturbing trend forming. Especially after all the "we plan of keeping this team together so we can keep rolling out content as fast as we can" remarks from BW from the start. I am seeing two ways this could work out with the current standing of this game and with EA's actions so far. 1. SWTOR has reached whatever dollar amount it needed to break even and from this point on EA is gonna cut as much funding to the game as it can while squeezing what little bit more profit they can grab from subs before going F2P or..... 2. SWTOR has now been written off as a epic fail and EA has decided to start up the "abandon ship" sirens, again cutting as much funding as they can to the game, hoping to keep it going as long as they can so they CAN break even on it then closing it down.
  3. You are exactly right. SWTOR is just one game out of many. But...... how many of those other games were hyped up to ungodly levels for about 4 years before release and costed hundreds of millions of dollars?
  4. Read it anyway you like. For me, when their stock starts to take a nose dive right after releasing a game that cost most likely well north of 200 million dollars is never a good sign. Add in the recent announcements of EA's plans for "restructuring" (cause we all know no one uses the words "lay offs" anymore, that's sooo 2001) just a few months after SWTORs release..... like I said, doesn't look pretty.
  5. Yea, found this and thought it was interesting. http://investor.ea.com/stockquote.cfm Check out the stock chart once you get there and you can see the price history and it aint pretty . Anyone else notice that EA's stock starts to take a hit right about the same time that the open betas started and then goes down faster than the Titanic after the release of SWTOR? EA and BW can blow all the PR smoke they want about what the real sub numbers are but they have to tell their investors the real deal. Apparently, the investors aren't happy.
  6. Really? Don't get me wrong, I have no love for GW2 at all frankly but you're playing a game (SWTOR) based off a IP with little savage teddy bears (ewoks), a midget green muppet (yoda) and........ wait for it...... Jar Jar Binks. And then there's these little guys..... http://tor.zamimg.com/torhead/uploads/screenshots/10275.jpg Tiny, blue elephant guys. Yep, not cartoon like at all. Nope.
  7. I've seen more issues in this game than in most and I've been mmo gaming for almost 10 years now. So white knight, how many hours are you gonna roam the forums today looking to troll anyone that says anything at all that is even somewhat negative about this game? I'm just curious.
  8. Not really sure whats going on today but I know something is after this last patch. So far this morning between me and my wifes toons we've RE'ed well over 200+ crafted items and we've gotten nothing to show for it. Not even blues. The worst part is most of the items we were doing were low level and low skilled compared to our actual crafting skill levels. Stuff like skill level 70 while were are both in the mid to upper 200s on some of our skills. Key example. My wife was trying to learn a blue version of a lvl 17 earpiece I believe it was for me. She RE'ed about 60 of them and got nothing at all for it. Same thing for me and it's been like this all day since we got on till the point where we just both got fed up with it and logged out. I've been crafting since day one on multiple toons using different skills and I've never seen it like this. Just wondering if anyone else is having this issue.
  9. Arizona Master Zhar Lestin down while my guildies are on.
  10. Spend them. In the beta you use to be able to exchange old ones from planet to planet as you leveled but no more. Why they took that out is beyond me so just blow whatever you can that you have left over cause as of right now they are worthless once you out level the gear and the planet they are on.
  11. Right about now all I care about are.... 1. Match to Chest Yes, I liked the option in beta so that my toon doesn't look like he clown that can't dress themselves. 2. Galactic Market OMG, this has to be the most epic fail AH in the history of mmo's. This AH system needs some major work done on it that's for sure. There might be a few other things here and there but those two are the ones that are bugging me the most atm.
  12. Same thing happened to me with the download off of Origin. Put in and got one of my preorders refunded weeks ago and today I found a charge for the full amount on my card. So if I were you I'd make sure you had the cash in the account. This whole EA/Origin setup is starting to smell fail to me that's for sure. After finding out that they went ahead and charged me for a game that I canceled weeks ago I'm done doing anything with them.
  13. And we're all sorry that you guys cant seem to play without magic glowing buttons telling you what to do and when to do it every second that you're in the game. Must be rough not being able to do anything at all without something there to tell you how and when to do it.
  14. After the past few days I think lack of "innovation" is the last thing that Bioware needs to worry about. The fanbois can white knight all they want but Bioware has put themselves right up there with SOE with their fail customer service and satisfaction, and that is just about the last company anyone would want to be compared to. At least SOE can blame hackers for some of their problems though, while Bioware seems to be causing their own **** storm just fine on their own without any outside help.
