  1. Greets all , decided to return to SWTOR after playing at launch for a while but bounced around since. This time going to take my time and enjoy the story/journey and all aspects of the game instead of rushing. Anyway , joining Ebon Hawk as it seems like a friendly community from the forums , and while I enjoy PVP I would appreciate a friendly community more. I was looking for suggestions for a friendly guild to join if maybe you experienced Ebon Hawkers could give some suggestions ? I'm old enough to have seen A New Hope in the theaters as young kid , now with my own young kids , so was hoping to find a group of folks who's main goal is to enjoy the game , with no drama , as with a career and real life I play mmo's for an enjoyable espace , not a 2nd job filled with it's own drama. Hoping to learn the ropes of all the changes and enjoy the new things added and get to learn more of the EH community as planning on sticking around in SWTOR for a good long while (EQL really is the only other game on the horizon for me to dabble in ).
  2. Seriously considering returning to the game , starting all over , and trying to pick a server. I really enjoy open world PVP (and know SWTOR's not setup the best for that but still ) , and played on Jung Ma at launch , but I see on their forums the pop just doesn't seem to be there. Was just curious as to if there seem to be much open world pvp going on ? Not really "organized" events but the back and forth scrapping throughout the planets where it's possible ? (also if open to either side , is either faction heavily outnumbered ? I don't mind being on the "underdog" side at all )
  3. So the CE vendor updates were in this patch right Bioware ? Right ? I mean you would never focus purely on Cartel market items and ignore the original folks who paid the most for the game right ? Never would you do that.
  4. You would think so , but realize they actually have ducked this thread for a year , a complete year , and aren't concerned about how embarrassing and pathetic it is for them even though it has stayed on page one or two for quite a while. They've actually ran scared a year on their main forum so I'm not sure they have any shame in just ignoring and closing other threads.
  5. Ah what a silly fanboi trying to defend Bioware on this. Again , Bioware is spineless as they are too scared to approach this thread. No excuses you can possibly spin Bioware so you choose to ignore the anniversary of the Yes-Lie post. You've only got one sycophant trying to defend you in this thread , and he/she/it is really helping our case of just how inept and overall liars you have sunk to being Bioware. Sad indeed.
  6. Tomorrow , and this is the one thread that the die hard defenders of anything SWTOR related don't touch in addition to the devs being scared. They know there's zero way they can spin this one. Bioware looks bad and scared all around on this issue.
  7. They said it a year ago and silence and ignoring the thread since. You have pretty low standards for what you think is acceptable. Still sadly amused they are too scared to touch this thread. I guess they know they have zero legit excuses to make , and dont want to admit they will spend zero effort fulfilling a promise they made for CE buyers , if its not going in the cartel market they arent going to bother with it. No one at Bioware has a spine otherwise it wouldnt have been a year since a post was made in this thread from a Bioware employee.
  8. Their complete silence and avoidance on this issue is an example of just had badly the company is ran. There is ZERO , zero reason for them to not at least acknowledge they fell down on this and apologize that they don't have the resources or funds to do anything about it. A little honesty goes a long ways. Instead they are spineless and clueless in addition to liars.
  9. Lovely how EVERYONE at Bioware ducks this thread.
  10. BTW I've got Charter and UVERSE (one for family one for me and as backup as I'm a sys engineer who does tons of remote server work and cannot have the internet down ) , and both do not work and both have been tested with a gaming desktop and laptop. Definitely not a localized ISP issue. MY Uverse routing goes through atlanta for most atm and my Charter goes through TN and no were to the hops even come close to the same backbone/provider anytime close on my end.
  11. FlushDNS didn't work here , can't login either. Apparently they need maintenance fixes to fix the maintenance fixes , everything was fine before todays maintenance. (to answer above poster security key here also ) Anyone know the IP's to hardcode into the host file for now if this really is a DNS issue on their end ?
  12. Sounds like you have a problem if you'd rather burn yourself than not be able to type in profanity on an online game. I'm guessing if cursing is that important to you , you do it far to often , and belong on X-Box live more than here. Anyone who ranks being able to curse in a chat box as that important is , well , an idiot.
  13. After getting over my own issues with the shortcoming of SWTOR , and trying out other mmorpg's over the year , I've realized I believe SWTOR still can be my game of choice and am returning and subbing and planning on playing on EbonHawk instead of an RP-PVP server because while I love PVP , I rather have the overall enjoyment of a more friendly crowd. Anyway I really am trying to pick a class and side , not worrying about being Uber or FOTM , simply going whatever path I will enjoy , and starting from scratch and taking my time this time. What I'm wondering is if anyone can give suggestions for guilds on either side that welcome working adults/parents , who love mmorpg's , enjoy socializing and all aspects of the game , but can't commit to making it a second job ? As in there are times I'll log in for 5 hours late at night , other times only able to hop in and off at random times. I'm in now way looking for handouts , powerleveling etc. I'm simply looking for a permanent home that still actually uses the guild text chat in game and socializes regularly , understands someone who can't be on voice every second they are playing , and most of all , play the game for enjoyment , not for any added drama. As real life with mortgages to sick kids has enough drama , I'm coming back to SWTOR for it to be the escape from all that I'm more the type who passes on rolls for loot to not appear a loot whore , and gathers and donates everything to guild crafters since I'm not much of a crafter myself. Anyway as stated I enjoy PVP , RP , just exploring and socializing , and would really like to try some flashpoints when I can , just that with two young kids , working full time etc , its not something I can say I can always commit X hours a week etc. So here's a 40 year old Star Wars fan , mmorpg fan , and returning SWTOR player , looking for suggestions on a friendly guild that takes in all types , with the main rule of no drama and friendliness overall to each other. Doesn't necessarily have to be all "old folks" , but would be nice if I wasn't the only one who was old enough to see the original trilogy in theaters as they came out. Just to add a couple other details , I truly don't mind which side as there are classes on both I'd like to try , was leaning on starting Empire as did scoundrel on launch to the mid 40's but gladly would do Republic againg to be part of a group of folks I'd fit into. Also after going through TERA,TSW and GW2 and realizing that despite it's shortcomings in some areas SWTOR is the overall game I see sticking hoping to find group of folks that can stick with for long time in this game and likely the next game I'm even interested in atm is EQNext as starting in EQ beta in 98 was my first foray into mmorpg's. (and still my all time favorite.)
  14. My point is they have made REPEATED stupid PR decisions , it's a pattern, they are clueless.
  15. Why not make the stupid decision in the first place Bioware ? Serious question. You tried the same with no grace period at launch then after screaming finally reversed. Instead of "listening to customers" why not make stupid decisions to begin with.
