  1. I agree with expanding the ignore list. further when someone is ignored it should ignore the entire account, not just the toon that I encountered. Putting f2pers in a separate chat channel would be a disservice to both groups. Opening up the game to f2p should serve to create a larger more diverse community to enhance the game for all players. If we cannot fully play with everyone in the areas that are accessible to all, then f2p players value to other players is decreased dramatically... For example, the lower populated planets where subscribers may be leveling an alt and wants to hit up chat to put together groups for group missions will lose the benefit of reaching other players who are currently using a different pay mode. I understand that some people are really unhappy and/or concerned about the up and coming changes, however it seems unfair to categorize people coming in as f2p similarly to unwanted poor peasants who will somehow taint the current kingdom with their mere presence. Certainly there must be at least one person playing for free because they really want to check out the game and play for enjoyment and not to infiltrate the castle to corrupt and destroy it from within...
  2. You're right. Bioware should have saved some cash and just slapped the same story on the imperial and republic sides since there is no difference and really doesn't matter anyway. They should also understand that when HK comes out that we should just stick to one faction and not need one toon from each faction because, well what's the point? I know that originally Bioware said the game was made for those who liked alts and story but really 8 is enough. I know that 8 is enough because this well respected and knowledgeable person in the forums said so... and who am I to disagree? Obviously it is I and not the the person on the forum who said that there is really only 8 advanced classes that is right. I never should have set out to have a full array of toons on both factions... how foolish and misguided was I? Next time I try to think on my own I will ask first and then just obey before spending time having fun in my own way. After all it isn't about my play style and what makes me happy in the game I chose to play it's about the things that are obvious to others that I failed to take notice of.
  3. When Legacy was first announced there was all sorts of excitement in the air... I could see it and hear it in the voices of the devs as they described it, keeping it secret for the most part... Because of the way that the names would be unique my friend and I spent many many many sleepless hours rushing to get to the Legacy naming so that he could get the name that he wanted... We had waited for years for this game... played beta, followed all the streams and announcements... and he took off a week from work .... and yea he forced me to play almost in my sleep to get to just that point to get the name and then we could slow it down... The name was just that important... The hype continued after the fact with the Legacy unveiling... and then later at the Guild Summit when it was announced that they were working on a way that people could share a name for marriage, friendship, or whatever but before they could allow such a thing they needed to develop a way for a "divorce" or separation... That is what the hold up was on the shared name and it seemed like they were spending a lot of hours on this... Then all of a sudden with no announcement, no explanation... no nothing... With this update names are no longer unique. Seriously? If a company wants their fan base/consumers to get excited about the things that they find exciting and they work to get the momentum going they cannot then turn around and just make such a drastic change without saying a damn thing. How I feel about this particular change is irrelevant. How I feel about how this change was handled... well since the people that matter didn't ask, to them it is obviously irrelevant. It's going to be very difficult to get excited about the next new exciting thing when watching a team of people talking all excited about their plans and how awesome it is... It will be hard to not wonder if this team is really dedicated and really excited or if they are just really good at sales.
  4. Is it easier to add another ability for sorcs to juggle instead of giving us a CD for our force regen instead of making us cannibalize ourselves? I am not happy with several of the recent upcoming changes, nor am I happy about the legacy name no longer being unique. I usually just roll with the changes, regardless.... but at some point I have to wonder if it has become some kind of game to see just how much long time subscribers will deal with and keep paying.... I can almost make out 3 guys standing around saying, yea.. did you see that ****? That #$&&% went off hardcore yo... We kicked the **** out of his game, beat him up and then he bent over and handed us another $15! I am just so sad....
  5. I loved the Rakghoul Plague event but really didn't care for the Grand Acquisitions Race at all.... riding around in circles finding and clicking on boxes reminded me too much of "PVP" in Illum... I clicked on enough to get my pet but never did get the last piece for the bonus... random is random I guess and that's fine. I am happy that some people really enjoyed the last event... hopefully we will see more events. I look forward too seeing something new, different and fun.
  6. Thank you Shelos, that actually does help. I will freely admit then I was not a Star Wars fangirl when I started playing this game so sometimes I don't understand why things are happening, or not happening, the way they are. It just seemed to me that the prison guards in Belsavis have knowledge of sith and would know who I was with... however they really don't seem all that bright and perhaps sith to them doesn't include pureblood. I can totally roll with that... however if a new cut scene developed with one of them so scared he wet himself I could roll with that too lol. Thanks a bunch!
  7. Do you get one speeder or do you get one for each toon you have?
  8. My jedi knight recently received Lord Scourge as a companion.. OMG, YEAH! I really love him and really am enjoying the storyline however I don''t get why people aren't freaking out... When I showed up in Belsavis with this huge Sith lord I would expect guns, lightsabers, etc to be drawn... maybe people screaming or hiding... heck some of the guards are such wussbags i wouldn't be surprised if at least one wet himself.... then I imagine that I force persuade or something to get them to accept this sith as part of the team... but nooooo they act like he isn't even there... I really don't get it.. for such an amazing story otherwise this part doesn't seem to fit.
  9. Yes, I also have this issue. I reported it a few months ago as he will just stand there and then rush in just before the fight is over... Almost like the great lizard is a wussbag and runs in to take all the credit without leaving a mark on his pretty face. On the bright side the shoes he makes will be flawless.
  10. I was hoping to find some information on additional server transfers. The one destination available to me is full and I would need either an additional destination server to transfer too or additional slots. Actually, If additional slots are going to be made available in the near future I would really like the possible details of this before any additional transfers are available. I would really hate to have as my only option a paid transfer, pay to transfer my toons and then a few days later find out that additional slots are available and have to either keep my toons on different servers or pay to move them over to consolidate them all on one. I want to be clear that I am not looking for a date on when a such a thing would happen, but what the potential of such a thing would happen as it would be very frustrating to me, and others, if the above situation were to occur. Thank you so much for any info you have!
  11. The problem is this: Day 1 of the transfer person gets an email to transfer their characters from server A to Server B. The person transfers all 6 characters over to the destination server. Day 6 of the transfer, same person receives an email to transfer their characters from server C to server B, the person has 8 and wasn't expecting them all to go to the same server. Now the options are to either only pick 2 to move or actually have to delete previously moved characters to move over other ones. Seriously, i am stressing over this as I like to play both sides of the tree on all the classes and selected 2 servers pre-launch, one for my imps and one for my pubs and made all of my characters to save the names I wanted. While I could select my favorite 8 if I needed too, when I moved over my first 6 I hadn't thought that it was a possibility that the other server I was on could be sent to the same one. I hope it doesn't happen, but if it does I wasn't given the decision to select my best 8.... Honestly because the server my imperials are on is still pretty populated, much more so than my republic server was, I thought the chance was that it would be a destination server. Now I am hearing that perhaps there will be just 5 PVE servers and likely that all the servers on my coast will be merged into one (this is just speculation and not something I have heard from bioware) and if true, I wish that bioware would have said something to us so we could make decisions based on the facts as they know beforehand and not end up in a situation due to learning about what is going on just minutes before it actually happens. I am crossing my fingers that I don't get stuck in this situation and feel for anyone who is already there.
  12. aww u guys are no fun! I'm not an Arizona fan but I can appreciate players across all teams and just a good time at the park.. Enjoying something for what it is can lead to an amazing experience... pointing out the weak or down side of things has to get boring and definitely takes away from the sweet side of life. Live a little on the fun side guys.
  13. I hope it's ok to post this here, I am an amazing baseball fan and wish I were closer to take advantage of what looks like a fun day of baseball and star wars in arizona on June 9 http://arizona.diamondbacks.mlb.com/ari/ticketing/starwars.jsp?partnerId=ed-6004559-272562718 Along with baseball and star wars looks like a good cause as its a charity event... I am not associated with any of this, just saw this in my email box and wanted to share with you all. If you get to go have some extra fun for me!
  14. Hi! I am asking for an option to turn off companion speech. On my Trooper I use Elara as she is the only healer option, I have tried using other companions but it just isn't as effective solo leveling. Elara is constantly yelling at me in this terse voice to "Stay still!" This is soooo incredibly annoying. It makes me hate her and actually lowers the amount of time I spend on my Trooper because I just don't want to be around the witch. This is really the only thing that she says that annoys me this much, however I am thinking that others have companions they would rather not hear and just an option to turn them off or perhaps a volume control for companions.. I don't know which would be easier. With the amount of time we spend with our companions I believe that this would help to make the game more enjoyable for us when we must work with a companion that doesn't mesh with our personalities. Thank you for considering this.
