  1. I enjoy the storyline, and I like just PvE questing with alts, too. I fiddle around with strongholds. I don't RP here these days, as I get plenty of RP in tabletop games. I grok the appeal of RP, though. Honestly, there isn't a lot in this game that keeps me interested anymore; other games offer better housing/fluff/exploring/collecting/etc., and good stories along with it. I do maintain my sub (been around since the crazy pre-order days), because sometimes I just want to wield a lightsaber. Why in an MMO rather than a single player game? I like persistent worlds that reflect changes over time. I like having folks around, even when I have no interest in playing with them; the world feels more alive that way. I like that I can play with family and friends sometimes. For the record, I do support the raiding/group playing/PvPing folks in their wants and needs--the world doesn't revolve around me and my wants, and I feel that a successful game should offer content for different playstyles.
  2. Done. Looking forward to that bonus so I can focus on class stories.
  3. Just as a heads-up--we were booked to stay at this hotel in part to attend this get-together. Apparently, due to 1) renovations and 2) a large high school group, they are bumping some people to a different hotel. If you are staying here, you might check and make sure your reservation is still cool. Still hoping to make it to the Cantina gathering, even if it won't be as easy as taking the elevator!
  4. We will be there for the Comic Con, so heck yes, we will try and attend this. Cool.
  5. Definitely do more events! The 'surprise' nature of this one gave it an immediacy and a sense of urgency. More cool rewards similar to the ones available this time--pets, clothing, titles, fun fluff stuff. Next time, though, please remove mechanics that can cause people to be involuntarily flagged for PvP.
  6. I'm sure because it was the first thing I did after leveling to 50, which I just did last week. If they did change it, and they well may have, it was very recent. Or maybe I benefited from a bug.
  7. I just farmed the heck out of Esseles on my 50 last week, to get Light V. It worked fine.
  8. My husband and I met in an MMO and we play together regularly. I heartily agree with the advice you've been given here by previous posters. Start a pair of different characters on the same starting planet. That way, you can do landscape missions together, and help each other with your respective class quests. While there's nothing wrong with playing two similar classes together, you can really get a good synergy between complementary classes. In SWTOR, I play my Gunslinger (Smuggler) with his Vanguard (Trooper). We also have a Sentinel/Scoundrel duo. In other games, we have duos along the lines of tank/ranged DPS, tank/control, melee dps/heals, etc. You might also look into picking complementary crafting professions. I do advise that you have dedicated duo characters, as well as your own 'play as you will' characters. I get to play more than my husband does, so I have my main and some alts to run around on when he's not online. I only play my smuggler and my sentinel with him. One other nice thing about a dedicated duo--you will get a good amount of social points as you go along. As a previous poster suggested, let your wife pick what appeals to her, and build your duo around that. If you find you don't really like playing your starter character, you can always switch off to something else once she's made it to Fleet. For instance, my husband wanted to roll a smuggler, so I made a trooper to run through Ord Mantell with him. Trooper just isn't my thing, so once he was on Coruscant, I made a sentinel to join him from there on. I hope the two of you have many fun hours of gaming together!
  9. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Just knowing that this is on the radar makes me glad to wait around for a resolution.
  10. This is my plan as well. I guess I'll have to check out this Twitter thing, which I've managed to avoid until now. But it's looking like silence is all we're going to get.
  11. Think what you like. For some of us, it is a MAJOR issue, and it's a dealbreaker. And that's why we want an answer.
  12. No. To solve the problem on a PVE server, Bioware needs to fix this. Period.
