  1. After a little research I realized I would need to upgrade my power in order to step up to the best AMD FX cpu, which is really marginally better than my FX6300. At this point I am thinking of selling this, it's about 2 months old, and starting over with an Intel setup. Thank you all for the input, I'm going to look at boards and am looking at the Skylake intel CPU's but man they are pricey. I may start with a really nice board and get a good I5, look to upgrade it in a year or so
  2. Awesome TX, just what I was looking at for the cpu upgrade. I think me connection speed is fine, I have also tried this on Shadowlands and although i get a better mbs, I still get that random red server lag in Warzones.
  3. I did the trace and got 10 numbers. I have no idea what that means.... 1 1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.1.1 2 32 ms 50 ms 28 ms cpe-142-105-176-1.rochester.res.rr.com [142.105.176.1] 3 25 ms 27 ms 21 ms tge0-0-1.riganyaa02h.northeast.rr.com [24.93.9.26] 4 14 ms 16 ms 16 ms be34.hnrtnyaf02r.northeast.rr.com [24.58.45.60] 5 25 ms 25 ms 24 ms be28.albynyyf01r.northeast.rr.com [24.58.32.70] 6 36 ms 31 ms 31 ms bu-ether26.nycmny837aw-bcr00.tbone.rr.com [107.14.19.26] 7 42 ms 42 ms 43 ms bu-ether12.chcgildt87w-bcr00.tbone.rr.com [66.109.6.25] 8 40 ms 65 ms 41 ms 0.ae1.pr1.chi10.tbone.rr.com [107.14.17.194] 9 42 ms 43 ms 41 ms 66.109.9.34 10 40 ms 39 ms 39 ms a23-74-8-224.deploy.static.akamaitechnologies.com [23.74.8.224]
  4. So i'm trying to get rid of the dreaded redbar server mps warzone lagg from Swtor and need a bit of direction. I bought a new decent rig but I'm unsure if I should just update my processor or theres anything else i can do. I have updated all the "performance" power options for everything registry, display, all that. The only other thing I am running is Razer Cortex wich ups my FPS about 10 on fleet. I do run a steady 60FPS on fleet and 80mps. Warzones 25-30fps-90mps. Specs: AMD fx6core6300 Radeon R7 360 8 gigs on Win 10 I haven't overclocked this processor in BIOS yet, briefly did it with AMD overdrive, but am willing to try it in BIOS. But wondering if I should just update my Cpu. Please help thanks!
  5. I posted in the harbinger forums about their server hardware... Anyone know when/if they have replaced their servers since launch?
  6. So anyone else thinking they really need to update there server hardware. I mean besides the crashing the WZ rubberbanding seems to be another sign that the WZ servers are also going bad. Does anyone know if they have switched out any of their servers since launch?
  7. Yea I'm recently back as well, and have the exact same issue. At first I thought it was Harbinger, and it still may be, but to test it out, I tried out Shadowlands to see if I could see a difference as I am East Coast. Although the ping is roughly 1/2 of what it is on Harb, Shadowlands avg. 40fps Harb avg. 80, I see the same issue in warzones. I've tried what others have suggested in turning settings down but to no real avail. I run Bttlefront and GW2 on Ultra with no problems so I'm really thinking it's something with their WZ servers specifically. If I had to guess I would say they are outdated. Can we get some others on Harb to ring in on this as we are both new to the server? Thanks
  8. Awesome that worked. Went through the "troubleshooting" page and this was nowhere to be found. Thanks for your help!
  9. After I enter my Name and Password I get a "This application has recovered from an unspecified error. Please try this patch again later". I'm assuming this is the same as the other login issues people are having. Has BW given any ETA or anything about a fix?
  10. GW2 has the potential to take lot of the PvP audience from Swtor unless Bioware does some work with their "world" pvp, maily Ilum. I love the game and am working on my second Battlemaster toon but the lack of pvp focus is disconcerning. WvWvW is really attractive to me, nothing has been done like it since DarkAgeofCamelot which to many oldschool pvpr's was the holy grail. I do however believe this game will be one of top PvE games on the market for years to come and have a pretty faithful if not large playerbase.
  11. "I am very interested in the WvWvW but there will be no PVP servers or OWPVP of any kind. Anet hates raiders with a passion so their endgame will be extremely limited to only repeated quests. Then they went and changed how their cash shop will work which opens up the chance of P2W. Then I see this and it makes me wonder how they think they will be able to do 1000+ people in one area." Good points Reico I have some of the same concerns. PvP stability will be a major factor in the GW2 success. Why one company cannot put 200 people ina zone to pvp without major lagging/crashing is beyond me. DAOC did it better 12 years ago then anyone is doing it now. Yea the no "pvp" servers is different, but there is only one faction so yea, you need to instance/go to the mists for what would be considered GW world pvp. But really is that any different that going to Ilum or flying to Stormwind, wow 85 pvp zone. I don't know. My biggest gripe about GW2, and I have the same issues with Swtor, right now is that as some have said there is pretty much no pvp while leveling unless you do it all in the Mists/warzones which i guess is viable but slow.
  12. I'm actually seeing some reasonable responses here, go figure. Honestly i think this game is going to take the majority of the PvE mmo marketplace for some years to come. Warcraft is/will be bottoming out with D3 coming out and the next xpac turning off a lot of their already dwindling playerbase. That being said I think GW2 has some potential for takeing a large portion of the Swtor PvP playerbase. Most can agree there are some substantial concerns about SW pvp, this coming from a BM with a 2nd toon just passing Valor 50. BUT I know many players like me, who for the first time who may be apt to play both because of the no-subscription of GW2. I can forsee myself playing Swtor for my Flashpoint/raid PvE fix and also going to GW2 for some WvWvW. It's all still up in the air but after some initial skeptiscism I am convinced the PvE aspect of Swtor will be the best in the market for some time. It's really just that good, and also as some have said its Star Wars.
  13. How is that different from Ilum or any of the warzones? Swtor has a ton of "instancing", The difference being when you "instance" some gw2 pvp WvWvW for example, you join a week long game with your server vs 2 others competing over a huge landmass. I need to start building more bridges for all the trolls, gonna need more laborers.
  14. I love Swtor and am working on my 2nd battlemaster toon. Needless to say my main focus is PvP. Overall I enjoy swtor pvp but the lack of any type of real world pvp could hurt the game in the end. Ilum needs a ton of work and I worry that the standard mmo faction v faction model is going to lead to the standard unbalacing we see in every 2 faction game. GW2 could/will take alot of the PvP playerbase from swtor unless Bioware gives it some real focus. WvWvW has a ton of potential to create really strong pvp communities on servers, something i think the swtor pvp teamld take a note from. Also lol at the "Pink butterfly animation" comments. Instead of trying to hate on something like the art direction, which is complete personal preference, try to contribute something postitive to the OP's thread. That or go find a bridg to hide under.
