Can someone please explain to me (a level 10 IA noob about to choose my advanced class) the differences in the two classes with regards to range (distance) and cover. Does the range of you weapons decrease form 30 t0 10 if you choose Operative or am I just not understanding correctly. Or is it just that the Op has extra abilities and that the Sniper has stronger shots. if the only difference between the blaster rifle and sniper rifle is the strength and I can still get some extra abilities I may go with operative. I do however feel I may require some distance until I'm more experienced with the class so I may decide to go sniper. Anyway, please respond in the simplest possible way as I am new to the mmo experience and not up on all the terminology. Thanks for any insight.

Okay, I arrived at republic fleet. Went for advanced training. My kid walks in and distracts me. I hit a wrong button and the mission is complete but I'm still only a smuggler. no gunslinger, no scondrel. the trainer says I've already chosen my specialty and won't allow to do anything to correct and make my choice..
