  1. Shadow as well! That is exactly what I am talking about. As for my Wife, we're in a group.. but we split up to do class quests. No they were NOT heroic areas. It was the instanced Class quest/storied areas.. so I was wondering if just being in a group adds people to the groups.. or do both already have to be inside.
  2. Which brings me back to the idea, how was I supposed to solo 2 Elites and 3 Strongs on Taris. That was one pack of mobs.
  3. When your doing a class quest, specifically the strong and boss level ones, does the quest scale and account for the number of people within your group, or is it at a base set? About a month back, people discussed how class quests scale to your level, and if you are over leveled they become much more difficult. Is the same true for # of players? See, my wife and I have been grouped since day one. Neither of us will play unless the other is, however when we split up on our own to do class quests there are times where we got our asses handed to us in the late teens to mid 20s. Now, I am wondering if it was because we were always in a group. Stuff like Taris boss, and the solo boss fights (Knigth and Shadow) after the planets were a total pain in the arse when we were alone but grouped.
  4. You know what, that sounds quite plausible. I was wondering why i was having such trouble with those quests and even some of the mobs you had to pull before the boss. Specifically a group with 3 strongs and 2 elites... which I couldnt do anything too.
  5. Yes, it felt like classic WoW Rogues, not Wraith or even BC. Also, the quests I am talking about not soloing are the final couple on each planet. Where you have to kill off the Elite/Boss character of that planet for your class. Those are the ones I have trouble with...
  6. Well I tend to use all my dots then spam my double strikes and throw ability, then when I am out force, I spam my attack ability until I have enough to double strike and throw ability again. Refreshing my dots when they are close to running out if I have enough force. My wife is also having trouble soloing her quests. We think this may entirely have to do with the fact we didn't equip our companions well in the early 20s. If there was nothing our main character could use we just picked the money or accommodation award. I know my tank companion was wearing teen level items at 25. We split up to do our class quests when we're trying to finish a planet we're over leveled for. For instance the first planet after Corisant, Taris I think, we were 4-5 levels to high for the planet so instead of doing every class on the planet we just separated and did our class quests to get the story line finished. However the bosses we had to fight at the end of those quest lines neither of us could solo (She had to fight a boss in a mine, I had to fight a boss on a cruiser) it was upsetting us since we thought we should be able to solo everything.
  7. It also could be I hate the feeling of playing a rogue. I went DPS spec after tanking fell through. The companion I am using is the lizard dude, I was going to use the techie but found out he didn't help much as the lizard tank in the end. I also for the longest time forgot to equip him with gear which also might be causing the problem
  8. Ok, I am having alot of trouble playing this game. Honestly I love the game, but I am just not having fun like I thought I would. I am a Jedi Shadow who wanted to be a tank. However I found out the Shadow Tank is severely nerfed while the actual class plays like my least favorite class from WoW the Rogue. The second is I am having alot of trouble Soloing my class quests. My wife and I play together but at times we'll split up to do our Primary class quest, and I am finding myself around the late 20s to early 30s that it is almost impossible to solo the elites and boss that were made to be soloable. Finally is the overall pace of the game. Sometimes it just seems like it is slow and dragging on when I want to get stuff done, and move on to the next area but I am finding myself stuck on the same planet for 6-8hrs just gets annoying. This all could be because of the level I am at, someone told me that levels 20-30 are a major slowdown/grind fest for Republic characters. However these problems are majorly ruining my enjoyment of the game and I find myself not wanting to play it as much.. My wife thinks part of it is I just picked a class based on the fact it used my favorite style of light saber (Double bladed) and could be a tank, rather then playing the class first. However I also don't want to start over because I've invested so much into leveling this character so far. So any suggestions and pointers you guys can offer would be wonderful.
  9. It takes a while to find a mail box for each class/race as far as I can tell.
  10. How long does the collectors edition mail and items stay in my mail box? I ask because Day one of early entrance I made all 8 of my characters and am slowly leveling them one at a time to 50. My first is almost 30 now, the problem is I don't want to lose my items.. so how long will they stay in my mailbox? The reason I made all my characters so early was to reserve my names.
  11. Ok, I was on Taris with my girlfriend when she started complaining about the game slowing down, glitching and freezing alot. So, I checked out her pc everything was running fine. We switched PCs, and the glitches began happening on my pc but not hers. As if the problems were specific to her character. I was able to perfectly play with a smooth as glass frame rate on her pc, while on mine it was now slowing down, glitching and freezing now. So, what exactly happened? We switched back, and my character was running smooth as usual, even in the same locations as she was having the problems but her character on either PC was having trouble. She's a Twilek Jedi Knight.
