  1. Upping the range on blaster attacks from 10m to 15m would be very reasonable. I could see 20m or 25m creating some potential balance issues, but 15m shouldn't break anything.
  2. The idea that being in a premade makes you magically better is obviously a bad argument. However, premades are generally better than pug groups. They have better coordination, better composition, better equipment and a higher skill level than average. All these factors add up, quite a bit in many cases. Because of that they should be matched against other teams that have a better shot at winning than average.
  3. I'm a little baffled by the lack of a fix. I mean... isn't this a bolster issue? And isn't that just an issue with math? Granted, doing math kinda sucks but when you're paid to do it, you just kinda do it
  4. Premades aren't the problem, it is the complete lack of matchmaking. Premade vs pug is fine, so long as the pug team has good shot at winning. A reasonable matchmaking system would allow for that.
  5. You can roll, then roll a second time before the 10 sec CD kicks in. There's also the ability 'Evasion' on a 1min CD (chance to dodge mele / ranged +200% and purges negative effects), 'Escape' on a 2min CD that breaks stuns and roots, and 'Countermeasures' on a 45sec CD that can be specced to break movement-impairing effects. As for the seemingly immortal Operative, I've seen them too and they're really scary! I've tried it myself though and I'm sad to report that my own skills are not up to the task
  6. Glad to hear you're sticking with it. I've been enjoying my lvl 59 lethality operative as well. I'll have to make another post once I hit 60 and share if I have a big drop in effectiveness or not, but for now I've been doing pretty good. I like that I have a little of everything - can dot up the enemy team, focus one guy, roll into / out of a fight, heal up, stealth... the only thing lacking imo is a bit of burst and that the set up time is long. But hey, there has to be a downside From the perspective of my sniper / slinger, operatives are a real pain. Operatives can hurt my sniper pretty well and reliably kill me if my defensive cool-downs are already blown. Conversely operatives seem really hard to kill as a sniper since they can always just roll away (and dodge!), hide, heal up, and, if they're lethality, their dots just keep on working for them. Other ranged dps seem to have difficulty with operatives too, though I may be biased since I know them pretty well and so know how to abuse them. Anyways, that's been my experience so far. Hopefully it says positive
  7. It's much worse for me on my sniper than my operative. With my sniper I rubberband back, find that the ability is now on cool down and sometimes with all that's going on I find that I'm not out of cover and helpless. At least on my operative I have a second roll and mobility... le sigh...
  8. People assume there is, because a competent system would have matchmaking.
  9. I'll enter hypergate around 100 fps, then see it drop to ~10 fps during heavy fighting and never recover above 40 fps (even in quiet respawn). Bioware, please...
  10. You are right that some pre-mades are bad and some pugs are quite good. The system should be matchmaking so that regardless of the group type, the match is competitive so that each side has a reasonable shot at winning. Other games do it, so can swtor.
  11. Well, it's 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and every iteration in between. It's fun when you have a competitive match, they're just too few and too far in between.
  12. I did. Yes, the problem will be diminished when one of matchmaking's flaws is diminished. Even then it still leaves matchmaking flawed. Regardless, the 'temporary' problem is pretty big. Many returning / inexperienced players who are hit with a crummy pvp experience won't stick around long enough for the experience to improve.
  13. PvP has always had crappy matchmaking. The whole system needs a major overhaul, really.
  14. Yeah, solo queue sniper getting dropped into a 4v4 is pure sadness, so I'd appreciate an option as well. Also, how the heck does matchmaking work in this game? So many matches seem to be one-sided crap-fests. When a match is competitive, the pvp in this game is glorious. I want more of that.
  15. Yeah it's pathetic. People get beat and assume it's the game's fault.
