  1. Yeah, guardians are hot right now. And lots of fun to play. So are sentinals. So just play what is cool, because they are both viable PVP classes for ranked. While sent may need a wee bit of a boost, they are still ridiculously powerful if played properly, vig spec guardian also does mean damage, and you can tank. So just play what is cool. They are both very viable. --Me
  2. I had heard absorb is functional in PVP, that it is the only mitigation stat that works in PVP. Cany anyone confirm? I played a tank in the old days (launch to 2.0) then switched to DPS. In the old days it was just "get moar HP"... It sounds like it is till true. --Me
  3. I would argue a vig spec should use power. Pure power. Buuuuuuuut, the difference (from what I've read) is so negligible it really doesn't make too much of a difference. --Me
  4. Think PVP... You have an enemy on the ropes, you want to finish him, but he stealths. Can no longer activate force sweep to finish him off. Or... you have an enemy targeted and you are in the middle of a mosh pit. Right as you are about to launch some AoE goodness, your target disappears and you can't AOE the badguys anymore. There are probably another 500 reasons as well, but I was summarizing --Me
  5. So I naturally would have assumed power augs (Overkill, I think?) for a pvp healer, but I read a post from this past summer that said the math showed that WP augs (resolve, iirc) were slightly better. Is there consensus? Is it up in the air? Gracias, --Me
  6. Thanks for the responses. What about augments? Historically, might augments were recommended because of the crit bonus, but a guildy of mine said that power augments for vig spec were preferred. --Me
  7. Does anyone remember the "whole guide for the whole guardian"? That was the best class guide ever, though methinks long obsolete. Sad that there isn't one for vigilance spec So, my questions to you vig players. How do you gear yourselves for PVP? I'm currently not min-maxed at all, but am reasonably effective. I'm trying to figure out what are goals? As vigilance is it to stay *generic*? A nice mix of power, surge and crit? Tanks are all about health, focus are all about crit, but what are vig guardians about? I almost feel like there is no real need to min-max (ie replace mods and enhancements), but I would prefer to listen to the folks who have it better figured out. Thanks!
  8. So from what I've read this is generally PVE specific? Is it also PVP specifc? I roll as a tank in PVP, and I am looking to figure out what my stats should be built around. Now that shield works in PVP, it is a whole new ballgame. In the old days, I went with the "whole guide for the whole guardian" setup, stacking just +END and +DEF. Now, obviously, I have more things to play with, since shielding was apparently fixed. Above, it looks like absorption is next to useless for min-maxing in PVE, but is that also true for PVP? --Me
  9. Level as vigilance. At this point, on Tatt, you should be using T5 (or whatever the robot's name is) as your tank. He supplies pull, you supply damage. After the fight is over, you should be (relatively) unmarked and the robot should be messed up. Unsummon him as companion, and resummon and you have him back at full health in 2 seconds. This should work well. Once you get your healer (Doc) then it is easy sauce. That will be relatively soon. --Me
  10. I leveled to 55 as vigilance (I roll as a tank in PVP when level capped) and **** was it fun. Was topping the damage boards almost every game (which is particularly satisfying as someone who played (and now again plays) as a tank. I do miss my vig spec, but... I be needed as a DPS. --Me
  11. Body type 1 twi'lek female for my guardian. Why? I like contrasts... --Me
  12. All grains. No rice, no corn, no wheat/barley/hops. No legumes either. Just dead animal, vegetables, and lots and lots of wine. --Me P.S. No such thing as a defenseless sage/sorcerer - they all have mini bubbles
  13. I haven't had a cookie in almost 2 years... Or beer for that matter... Stupid grains. --Me
  14. Ok, this is a little off topic, but I read "What's most important in this game" and immediately thought: To crush your enemies, To see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women! Maybe it's just me, though. --Me
