Deres Culay BASIC INFORMATION: Age: 28 Born: Alpheridies Race: Miralukan half-breed (mutant) PROFESSIONAL INFORMATION: Title: Jedi Knight Class: Guardian Reason to fight: It’s what his Mistress does. PERSONAL INFORMATION: Description: 6'2, sandy brown hair, good build without being overly muscular. He'd be very good-looking if he didn't have a big lightsaber scar across his face. Well-mannered and soft spoken, but obviously knows very little about the world. Veil is made of violet silk, and is, in fact, a cut-off piece of a silk tunic. In conversation, he's often timid and may even flinch when faced with someone shouting or angry at him. He is almost childlike in his complete lack of knowledge about the ways of the world. Mutations include six-fingered hands with no thumbs, which he hides in specially-made gloves, discolored patches of skin on his lower arms, which he keeps hidden in his robe, and misshapen cerulean-blue eyes that appear to be jewels with large facets. Also possesses unusual physical strength, and a strong affinity to the Force. BACKSTORY: Deres is a half-breed with no idea what, exactly, comprises his genetic make-up. He's also an obvious mutant. Although he hides his mutations well with his veil and specially-designed gloves, to another Miralukan he probably doesn’t even look like a member of their species. Surrendered to the Jedi at birth, Deres grew up in their care and took the surname of his new master. But at the age of 12, Deres encountered a trueblood Sith who killed his master and sold Deres into slavery. Deres spent five years as a slave in the Hapes Cluster before he was rescued by a strike team and returned to the Jedi. Broken in body, mind, and spirit, he never fully recovered. Despite all the Jedi could do, he subconsciously never escaped slavery. As a result, he has formed a permanent attachment to the first strong female he encountered after being rescued, a trooper named Alaydia. He insists that Alaydia is his “Mistress” and obeys her without question. For her part, Alaydia greatly dislikes this and tends to try to keep her distance. But Deres remains loyal. If she is not around, Deres has a tendency to attach himself to what he believes is the strongest female authority figure, latching onto her and constantly waiting for orders. This led to an unfortunate incident during his training where a female padawan, realizing his codependent personality, ordered Deres to do all the work of both her and her female friends. Deres worked ceaselessly, forgoing meals and sleep, and eventually passed out during training, landing on his own lightsaber blade, resulting in the severe near-fatal lightsaber injury that still scars his face today and the expulsion of nearly all female members of his Jedi class. However, Deres’s primary concern after the accident was that he’d destroyed the silk veil he’d worn since returning to the academy. He was miserable until his “Mistress” finally replaced it. Following this incident, Deres was paired with the male padawan Proda Wolfe, the younger brother of Alaydia. This worked well until both padawans were caught during the Sacking, when Proda was killed. Deres then became even more attached to Alaydia, who finally had to arrange to have him included in her squad, the Wolfe Pack. Even though Alaydia is not the leader, Deres picked up on her dedication to the group and has proven surprisingly proficient, working hard to achieve the goals of the group. Yasmynia Ul’im BASIC INFORMATION: Age: 25 Born: Corusant Race: Twi'lek PROFESSIONAL INFORMATION: Title: Jedi Class: Sage Reason to fight: Searching for a way to serve the Republic and help the downtrodden. Feels her skills as a healer could best be used in a military-style group that's not completely controlled by the Senate. PERSONAL INFORMATION: Description: Lovely and graceful. Can come across as somewhat smug, but that's mostly training in social graces. Somewhat naive. Tends to always look for the best in people. BACKSTORY: Yasmynia is a beautiful, cultured twi'lek who takes her role as a Jedi healer very seriously. She's not afraid to get her hands dirty, but she's got class and refinement enough to spare. Yas was born the only child of a senator’s aide and was completely spoiled by her parents. She would have likely grown into a spoiled brat had she not been taken in by the Jedi. Fortunately, she was blessed with a master who not only grounded her, but also took her out into the world, teaching her both social graces of the Senate and the corruption that lies beneath. Disturbed by what she'd seen, Yas vowed to spend her life making it better. Joined the Wolfe Pack to achieve that end. Paublo the Pilot BASIC INFORMATION: Name: Paublo the Pilot Age: He doesn't quite remember Born: Naboo, or Corellia, or whatever planet he thinks of when he’s asked Race: Human cyborg PROFESSIONAL INFORMATION: Title: Captain (self-granted) Class: Smuggler Reason to fight: Gradually losing his disillusion with the Republic, having seen that the corruption at the top doesn't necessarily extend all the way down. Subconsciously seeking a place where he can serve again, while being too proud and mad to actually re-enlist PERSONAL INFORMATION: Description: Somewhat overweight, with above-average faith in his own looks. Approximately 80% cybernetic, although he may not appear it at first glance. Most of his bits and pieces can come off. BACKSTORY: Paublo is a half-drunk (at best) smuggler with far more cybernetics than sense. But once upon a time, he was a fine pilot for the Republic. Due to corruption in the higher levels, Paublo's base, where he was stationed with his wife and child, was abandoned during an attack. In a moment, he lost his family, his good looks, and the vast majority of his faith in the Republic. He went rogue for a time, dealing in the shadier side of things and drowning his memories with a deadly combination of booze and spice. He has since left spice behind, concentrating solely on the bottle. But at heart, Paublo remains a Republic starfighter. He has continued to fight even when he was at his lowest point, joining other smugglers to break an imperial blockade and providing discrete aid where it was needed most since then. To that end, he joined the Wolfe Pack. Although Alordo leads, the things Paublo does behind the scenes often dictate the course of the mixed group. ((REALLY wish we could write the bios of our RP characters somewhere on our character sheet. *cough cough you listening devs cough*)) Alaydia Wolfe BASIC INFORMATION: Age: 38 Born: Refugee camp Race: Human PROFESSIONAL INFORMATION: Title: Captain Class: Trooper Reason to Fight: Wants to fight for the Republic, not to line the pockets of some rich politician or pad the ego of some damned Jedi PERSONAL INFORMATION: Description: Very plain features, but solidly muscled and athletic. Doesn't smile much, except when Alordo is around. She's a battleaxe of a trooper who probably sleeps in her uniform. BACKSTORY: Alaydia is the baddest, toughest, meanest ***** in the Republic army and likes it that way. Niece of one of the heroes of Bothawui, Alaydia chose a military career early and never looked back. Plain and hard as a brick, she doesn't compromise and she doesn't back down. She's had to fight for everything she's ever had in her life, and then fight to keep it. She views this as the complete opposite of her brother Proda’s situation. Once Proda was found to be Force-sensitive and taken in by the Jedi, Alaydia saw her entire family’s hopes and dreams rest on him. Proda received the lion’s share of love and affection even in his absence, something Alaydia never forgot. Unlike certain arrogant spoon-benders, she obtained her position the old-fashioned way - she earned it. Alaydia fights for Alordo, who is her current commanding officer, and for the Republic, in that order. Everything else is tertiary. She’s a skilled medic, but her bedside manner is frequently somewhat lacking. Alaydia's been through the school of hard knocks, and it shows. When her mother was pregnant with her, their settlement was attacked by the Empire, and Alaydia was born in a refugee camp. Even though she didn’t live there long, she never forgot how she started her life. She sees her fellow grunts as the real backbone of the Republic army. She also sees just how little credit they get for doing the hard work. Soldiers do the fighting and most of the dying, then some damned Jedi shows up, twirls his pretty little glowstick around, and gets all the reward. Any Jedi that works with her is going to have to prove him or herself worthy of her respect. But she doesn't just give respect away to anyone, regardless of rank or station. It has to be earned. Earn her respect, and she'll have your back through the toughest of fights. This woman is a healer, through and through. Explosions are fun, but it's her job to patch you up afterwards. Alaydia can keep you going through the worst fights, and then load you up with the meds and stims she makes before sending you back for more. But may the Force be with you if you show signs of cowardice, because she has no patience for it! Alaydia is a founding member of the Wolfe Pack, named after her heroic relative. LIKES: Alordo, being in the army, patching up holes in people, defending the Republic, kicking ***, blowing **** up, people who like to kick *** and blow **** up. DISLIKES: Jedi, cowards, people who can't take a hit, arrogant people who try to take credit for the work of others, anyone who commands respect and obedience without first earning it.
