  1. lalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalala!!!!! I'm not listening!
  2. Am I the only one that get a quick shot of bald head on certain female hairstyles when doing stockstrike? It is particularly bad on hairstyle number 3. Every time my char does stockstrike the hair physics makes her hair go through her head for a second, so I just get an eye full of the bald head underneath the hair. Makes my cringe every time...which is a problem for a Vanguard. I imagine that this is a problem with all of the long hairstyles that don't feature a hair model that is connected to the whole head underneath the actual hairstyle itself...if you know what I mean by that. Is there a setting I can change to prevent this?

  5. Here's a question for Republic players: On the Empire side of my Empire-heavy server (Ahto City) there is a severe shortage of healers. Decent amount of tanks, plenty of DPS, but healers can be a problem. I rolled a trooper on the Republic side to see what its like over there...and also to see some pvp other than huttball, and it is working out well. However, I rolled a Commando rather than a Vanguard (wanted to be different). Since then, I've been reading that on most Republic servers there are tons of commandos but actually very few Vanguards. I keep reading that Vanguards are one of the least played classes in the game. Which brings me to my questions: 1) Is it true that there are far more Commandos than Vanguards? 2) Does the Republic side suffer from the same chronic shortage of healers? I know that all MMOs lack healers, but is it as pronounced on the Republic side as it is on the Empire side, seeing as there are apparently all these commandos running around? 3) Does that mean that there is a shortage of good Vanguard tanks?
  6. I remember when trolls were not so easy to detect Once had a guy (person #1) who pretended to be another guy (person #2) and baited someone (person #3) into a forum fight in which #3 absolutely slagged off #2, with a lot of "Don't argue with me, I'm much smarter than you are. etc. etc," only for #2 to walk in half way through the conversation and be like "***...this other guy isn't me, but good to know that what kind of guy you're like #3." At that point #1 revealed who he was and explained that his intention was to show up how #3 is a two-faced tool and that #3, who bragged about how smart he was, had bought into it hook line an sinker. The thread was truly epic (unfortunately Blizzard deleted it when they changed the forums). That's true trolling. Guys who make posts like the OP give trolls a bad name...and it makes me a sad panda There's no intelligence to it. No skill involved. No true manipulation. It's just "this will offend people...trolololol." Proper trolling is actually clever and entertaining. These guys are just really pathetic.

  8. If You Don't Enjoy The Game, Stop Playing Why is that so hard to understand? There are plenty of MMOs out there. No need to call for a boycott. It's the natural order of things...if there is a problem and it isn't fixed, people will stop playing and EA/BW will either be forced to fix it or go bust. If there isn't really a problem and its just that you don't like the way things work, then you can go play something else where you will have the fun that you want, while the people who enjoy this game will continue to have the fun that they want.

  10. Cool. Good to be 100% sure Thanks all!
  11. Hehe I just punched Vegeta hutt in the face I also think that the shield block is 360 degrees, but I'm just not sure. Hoping to get a number crunch from Abdul!
  12. In sword and board MMOs you can only shield attacks from the front, hence why you always want to keep mobs in front of you. Does that same rule apply to SWTOR? Will my chance to block only work on attacks from the front, or does it work 360?
  13. Tanks: Bounty Hunter I am a BH tank, and I absolutely love it. The main weakpoint of the BH imo is the lack of CC abilities, but if the group knows how to play that is not an issue. I've seen bad BH tanks, and I've seen good BH tanks. There's a lot of skills to juggle, all the while maintaining your heat, but that is what makes it awesome to me. It's never dull. A lot of players can't seem to handle having lots of abilities to juggle while managing heat and having next to no CC...but if you can do it, the BH is an awesome tank. Sith Warrior I've seen a lot of Juggernaught tanks who were utterly useless, so I was beginning to think that there really was something to the complaints that people have about them...but then I ran a flashpoint with one who was at the lower level range of the flashpoint, but the guy was hard as nails and aggro was never an issue (and it was NOT only the healer making him look good. The guy was sharp). Sith Inquisitor I havn't had any experiance of Sith Inquisitor tanks. Only times I've seen a Sith Inquisitor tank anything was when they were so far ahead of the content in levels that they just ploughed through everything. Conclusion It all comes down to the player him/herself for tanks. You get good ones and you get bad ones. I don't buy into this "the class is broken" rubbish. Take everything you read on the forums with a bucketload of salt because 99.5% of it is rubbish. Healers Again, I've seen good and bad ones of all classes. If I were to rank them I'd say Sage is best, Operative second and Merc third...but they're very close and play very different. The reason I put the Sage and Operative above the Merc is the added utility that they bring along, but in the end it again comes down to the player. Ultimate Conclusion When it comes to tanking or healing, in my opinion all classes and specs can do the job equally as well. Some classes have to work a bit harder on some things while the other classes have to work harder on other things. It is remarkably well balanced.
