  1. And yet the devs encourage players to express their opinions respectfully and in a well thought out manner, and that is exactly what the OP has done. Well, there you have it. That explains a lot. As does the OP's.
  2. You know, the fact that you're openly "lolling" at people just reduces what might have been a reasonable agreeable thread to a common troll thread that's bordering on lockdown. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
  3. IMO the Sith Warrior was a generic Darth Vader, knowing some manipulation skills and being a huge ball of rage and fury. The Sith Inquisitor seemed to have to use his head more often than not, and even his very powers are more force based while the powers of a SW are more about the lightsaber. He's also more into knowledge than the SW, and knowledge itself is was fuels true power. Also, circumstances would go to prove that the SI is actually stronger. The SW came from a lineage of force users and was respected and given opportunities to train since childhood from the get-go. The SI grew up until adulthood as a slave, and had to learn on the fly how to manipulate and become powerful just to survive. The way I see it, the SI and SW were thrown out to sea and told to get to shore, but the SW was thrown out waaay closer to shore and was given a raft, while the SI was thrown out miles behind and told to swim. And had a weight tied to his leg. Both sith made it to a high position of power in the end, but the SI had to go through a LOT more to get it, and beat odds that were WAY more stacked against him. So, in my opinion, the SI is actually stronger. To get where he was with no prior training and so many powerful enemies within the empire who wanted him dead from the start. I don't think the SW would have made it in the same position. Of course, despite all this, my opinion is that the SW is not just a tool. His former master learned the hard way at the end, make him angry enough and he will surprise you. The SW is more into brute strength and violence, but he can think and can manipulate, and given the opportunity he will. Oh, and this is all just my humble $0.02. I played both stories and this is what I believe.
  4. lol That's ZP for ya. His reviews are always hilarious and, more often than not, spot on.
  5. Well, I might actually take all that very seriously if this wasn't the sort of motions EVERY MMO THAT EVER LAUNCHED have also gone through once or twice. Unfortunately, seeing as how this sort f doom and gloom has been present in a period in the life of pretty much every mmo before tor, I'm just going to have to take the armageddon prophecies for this game the same way I take the 2012 end of the world prophecies: With a grain of salt. And a hearty laugh.
  6. Lord Arius of the Devlin legacy! Arius is a name of Greek origin. It means "immortal". Devlin is of Gaelic origin. It means "fierce valor and bravery". Yeah, it sums up my light-sided Inquisitor perfectly.
  7. But you see, the thing of it is that not everyone who is making suggestions is a whiner, troll, complainer, or quitter. You seem to be lumping anyone who has an idea on what can improve swtor in with a group of people who come on these forums to complain about why they hate the game so much and are quitting/have quit their subscription. There are actually people on these forums, like myself, who love the game and simply have ideas on what would make the game better. For intance, I believe a X-server LFG tool would definately help the game. The fact that there's no X-server LFG tool in the game displeases me, greatly. Does that make me a troll who simply wants to spread malcontent and recruit quitters? No, it doesn't. I didn't say I was going to quit the game. And even if I was, I wouldn't make a big announcement on the forums about that decision, as that is merely a cry for attention imo. I didn't say that no X-server LFG tool makes the game suck, either. I am saying that it can only really help the game. And that suggestion is born out of my opinion, which is really what forums are made for, sharing opinions about things. Also, saying things like "If you don't like this game not having certain features, then go play another game that does" is actually a kind of piss-poor attitude to have. The devs themselves claim they listen to their sub base and want suggestions and feedback from the community. Now, if you think the game is 100% awesome and needs no improvement, I couldn't be happier for you. But there are players out there that may have a suggestion or two, and valid reasons for those suggestions. The fact that you're happy with the game as-is does not in any way make your opinion any more valid than those who think the game could improve with an added feature or two. And apparently the devs of this game share my attitude (or at least claim to) as they have stated they listen to the community. To be blunt, the internet is a big place full of lots of people. So even trying to generalize a group of people is a very bad and, to be blunt, stupid idea. Not everyone who is not 100% happy with the game is a troll or hater. And claiming that there are lots of other games out there with the features some players of this game are missing that they could be playing is not only a bad strategy as far as community and subscription sales, it's also a cheap cop-out to be quite frank. If the devs took the attitude you seem to have, then chances are their game wouldn't last another six months. And I have a feeling they know that, too. P.S.: You may also want to consider that the attitude you're having, like "Play another game if you want featre blah blah, and don't come complaining about it's absence here" may shoo potential players of the game away a lot more than those who complain. I mean, if everyone had your attitude, then people who are playing the game who may want certain features ad people who haven't tried it who may want certain features may look at the community, come to the conclusion that suggestions from the community are actually frowned upon, which may lead them to believe that the game probably wouldn't evolve well and/or have tolerant community players who welcome other ideas, which could potentially scare a lot of people away from this game. In short, your dread of what you claim could happen could very well be driving you to bring that conclusion to reality. So, be careful.
  8. You mean "not FOOLING anyone"? Geez, man. lol Look, if you want to try to convince people that cars that have no air conditioning, have 8 track or cassette players built in, and wind-up windows sell better than cars with air conditioning, power windows and ipod plug-ins then go ahead. But I doubt it. (Especially during the summer) Of course, feel free to provide a recent link that proves me wrong. Until you do, I call BS. Look, I love swtor. I can only play one mmo at a time, because that's all I can afford at present. And I chose swtor as my one mmo. This game is awesome. But, believe it or not, it CAN be a lot better. The people that are asking for basic features in an mmo to be put in this one are not doing so because they believe the game sucks. At least, that's not why I'm doing it. I believe these features will make the game even better than it is right now. Also, the things we're asking for are pretty standard fare for mmos in this day and age. All the more reason to implement them. I really doubt they's hurt the game. To the contrary, it would help keep subscribers and bring in more. So please, calm down and get off your high horse.
  9. I have a feeling this thread is a good as locked...
  10. Good question. My guild is a very active raiding guild, and has been that way since early access. Also, our guild has only swollen in numbers since then. I guess for some, though, the effort is a waste...
  11. Oh look, it's this thread again. Seriously, I love doomsday threads. They remind me of the 2012 end of the world predictions. Full of BS but still oh so intriguing. Swtor isn't going anywhere. It's numbers will likely continue to fluctuate as it gains a footing on the market, and people will continue making half-baked armageddon predictions every time the game loses ten subs. lol
  12. Aaaaand here it is! The token "Game is dead/dying" post. Right on time! That train's never late! lol
  13. Ah, you have a good imagination, Lexster. You must have Klingon blood. Seriously, a Klingon Jedi would be so freakin awesome sauce. Or a jedi sith. Ah, a girl can dream.
