  1. thanks for the replies, I never would have thought cover was used so much by ops . I think i have a pretty good idea/handle on things, just wanted to see what others were doing.
  2. Hi, I'm new to operative. Level 22 now. I'm just curious to what abilities you've 'removed' from your bars, or abilities you just don't use. I'm concealment spec btw. I don't have 'cover' on my bar cuz i see this as a sniper ability not op. Therefore i also removed abilities that require cover to use. Before I got Lacerate I was using overloaded shot quite a bit, between backstab and shiv cooldowns. But i happened to read yesterday that many people have removed overloaded shot, or just don't use this ability. As a young operative I've basically been using overloaded shot as one of my 'main' abilities (until i got lacerate, now i maybe use it once in a while). I'm just curious in what's 'obsolete' as an operative. (I wanna be doing it right !) Thanks in advance for the help
  3. Can we please get a 'target last target' option? I find this feature a 'must' as all rolls, healer, dps and tank! And IMO its a must in PVE and PVP situations. I personally use this feature consistently in other games for quick targeting. For example as a healer your focused on tank. you switch to a dps to top them off and then "target last target" your back on your tank with little effort. Same goes for DPS, your focused on boss, adds come up, pew pew back to boss. Tank, same as above. Another example is for CC'ing. Nothings worse than switching to CC something (pve or pvp) and then having to TAB cycle until you get back the target u want. Target last Target is one option we should have and can be quite useful to everyone in any roll in any situation.
  4. Yes dark embrace is beneficial to some extent. You only regen force while in stealth which imo isn't great(if you can stealth your not in combat). Saying that, darkswell makes it a little better but you still have to use blackout to get the bonus out-of-stealth mode which IIRC uses a GCD. It's good don't get me wrong, it's just not 'great' if you know what i mean. IMO it would be nice to see some sort of combat related bonus to being in stealth (not just force regen).
  5. yes i understand all how you can make stealth benefit you, as u say pick your fights etc... I'm saying that there should be some actual benefit to stealth, like a mechanic, as i mentioned above. I feel like were missing a talent or ability that makes use of being in stealth, for example increased damage. I don't think this would be "over powered" because in a normal situation you'd only be able to take advantage of this twice at the most. Besides being 'invisible' there is no benefit to stealth mode. I'm suggesting that maybe there could be a benefit (combat wise) in being in stealth.
  6. I know I may be late bringing this up, but last night i thought of something. Besides the obvious (being invisible) there is no benefit being in stealth mode. I know we have a couple abilities that require stealth mode to use (spike and mind trap, i may have missed one or two). For a 'stealth' class there is no benefit in stealth mode. By this i mean we have no abilities or talents that increase damage done while in stealth mode, for example we have no 'opener' move. I think we should have a talent (most likely in deception) that increases damage done by x% while in stealth mode. OR even change Maul to increase damage done by x%(50% maybe) while in stealth mode. and if not increase damage by a percent make it 100% crit factor. I do use maul as an opener because as darkness its the only time i get to use the ability and besides that I really don't know what other ability to start with lol (maul imo just fits the 'opener' part). It would be nice if being in stealth mode gave us a benefit in combat and not just to "not be seen".
  7. I'll have to reconsider using force lightning, I understand why to use it, it's just I have so many abilities I've just kinda left it out to use others
  8. I'm not high enough for harnessed darkness yet, and I've never planned on picking harnessed darkness up just because I do not use force lightning on my assassin. I understand you get 3% total health back, but I don't see the use for it(doesn't mean I wont, I'm just not able to try it right now).
  9. I understand what your saying, I do have a decent rotation(imo). The problem I'm finding is once I cycle through my rotation twice I'm out of force and have to use sabre strike a few times. So is running out of force and having to use sabre strike normal then?
  10. I just hit level 30 on my assassin, Darkness spec. Tho it's gotten a little bit better, I'm still having issues with running out of force. I didn't think I'd still be using my 'auto-attack'/non-force ability still at level 30. Basically when I'm fighting more than one thing at a time, most mobs are in groups of three, I'll run out of force about 1/2 way. I'll use Sabre Strike to regenerate my force, then continue with force attacks. Is anyone else having the same issue with running out of force?
  11. or if the 31 point talent (or even a 2/2 or 3/3 talent in second top tier) made force lightning restore x% health, or something like that. (kinda like harness darkness in the assassin tree, but not a proc ability)
  12. they probably complain about the people who playing campaign in call of duty lifes too short to worry about things that do not affect you.
  13. most games are multiplayer anymore, every genre. like others have mentioned its hard to find good rpg's that arn't mmo's. one nice thing about mmo's is they keep pumping out new content on a regular basis.
