Thank you very much to all who replied. I do appreciate your suggestions. After a couple days of just doing space, I went back to Tatooine and picked up the bonus series. That kept me busy for much of the day, and got me to level 29. All your suggestions are good ones, but I just refuse to PVP in any MMO. It only leads to anger and frustration. I used to be a big player of FPS games back in the day, and even played in leagues with a couple of Team Fortress mods based on the Quake 3 engine, (Q3F and ETF), but that was a long time ago I've just heard from too many well-meaning souls who had gone into a WZ like you suggested, looking for casual fun and exp, and come out having been screamed at and abused by their teammates the whole time. That's not my idea of fun. But the PVP community in any MMOG always seems to draw the biggest jerks and losers. Which is why I gave up on (name of a woman who figures prominently in the book of Genesis) after 5+ years, but that's another story...

The Situation Although I have been making an effort to complete most of the side quests along the way, I must have skipped more than I realized, because I have arrived at Alderaan and I'm not ready for this yet. The increase in difficulty was a nasty surprise, and it's just not fun. The Question It's easy to say, "just go back and do the side quests", but not that simple to implement. I bought some minor space exp boosts, which are dirt cheap on GTN, and I've been doing the space mission dailies, which brings in 18-20K exp. But I'm wondering if someone here might have a better suggestion? The Details Yes, my equipment is reasonably up to date, the same for my companions in general, and particularly so for Qyzen Fess. Yes, I understand that my primary tools are my force abilities, rather than my lightsabre. Yes, I understand the different Companion stances, and what they do. Yes, I use the internet resources, where I can find useful ones amid the great mass of outdated and/or irrelevant and/or flat wrong dreck.

Yes, but, well...OP didn't give us enough data to be sure. I do suspect the RNG is the culprit. Because of course, as we all know, computers cannot generate truly random numbers, they just make do with pseudo-random numbers. Honestly, I think the OP should just be quiet and enjoy the crits, before the devs decide to nerf the crap out of all our crew skills. I really don't like posts of this sort, they just lead to trouble for everyone.

What is it with this community, that some people seem to revel in just gratuitously being mean? I don't object to this so much when it's directed at me. I'm old and hard and wicked, and I've been abused by professionals in uniform; civilian amateurs don't intimidate me much. But it especially bothers me when someone who is obviously very young and very new to the game is the target of this nasty, bitter habit of mouth. Yes, I'm a terrible smart-aleck at times, but I don't go around just being flat-out cruel to people, and neither should the rest of you. What ever happened to the concept of common courtesy?

Essentially, what Kubernetic said. The lighting needs to be more on your face, for starts. You have potential, but you need to invest more time and effort. Great videos don't just happen, they require hard work. And understand that you are seriously handicapped by your Y chromosome; you don't have ***** to flash. If you don't think I'm serious, take a brief, (very brief, please God), look at the videos of MissHannahMinx, who has absolutely nothing else to offer, and yet reliably gets over 8 million views per video. Also, beware of tldr; syndrome. Remember that the average internet user has an attention span of no more than two minutes, and keep your videos under this limit. Short, sharp, and meaty. Keep it relevant. Do not let any of this discourage you. You can do it. You just need to keep trying, and never give up.

I'm only three days into the game myself, but I had this adventure with GTN yesterday The one annoying thing I noticed about search is that it takes any text you enter as name to be a "containing" search, and there's apparently no way to make it search "exactly" the text you entered. As an example, if you type in Minor Experience Point Boost, it will not only show you the item of that exact name, but also the items - Minor Forum Trolling Experience Point Boost Minor N00b Baiting Experience Point Boost Minor Item Duping Experience Point Boost etc...
