  1. The only class that is OP are the healers classes. As far as I am concerned when it takes multiple DPS to take down one healer, that ain't balanced. I mean what would be the worst thing if healers were not so OP, people would have to learn their survivability skills, timing, etc. better. Strategy would matter more, not some chicken @#!^ Pubs relying on massive heals. Way to many CC's and yes if my toon does not go where I want it is a CC... a slow is a form of CC and should count towards resolve. If you think the classes are balanced, you are delusional.
  2. Yeah not working as intended... just ask GZ. Resolve works about as well as his idea that PVE gear can work nearly as well in warzones as PVP gear.... NOT! You wanna fix it, when the resolve bar is full it PASSIVELY removes the stun you are currently on and you are released with the CC immunity offered by a resolve bar coming down. The melee will be equal to ranged.. Consulars, Smugglers, Troopers, Agents, Inquisitors, and Bounty Hunters. Until then, melee that cannot stealth will always be at a disadvantage. Or don't fix it and watch people to continue to leave in droves.
  3. Well I think it is pretty clear as far as disparity goes, the Consular has a significant edge over the Inquisitor because of the stealthiness of their pebbles versus the Force Lightning. And to the guy who responded just pull your view back.... it is thanks and the pebbles blend in too well with the scenery. Almost as bad the noise is not loud enough compared to the other attacks with explosions and light-sabers... it's too damn stealthy and needs to be adjusted for parity.... badly.
  4. This animation must be adjusted to show when you have a bunch of rocks being thrown at you. While the attack is lame, the animation is worse and causes a huge imbalance in PVP. When an Inquisitor gives another player the business in PVP with their equivalent, Force Lightning, you can see it half way across the map. While it is really cool, it is unfair and imbalanced because the Consulars rocks can barely be seen, even if you are the one being hit. Bounty Hunter missiles have a trail, as does other classes blaster blots and melee are easily seen. But the pebbles are damn near invisible. It's totally ridiculous. It needs to have a lot more white streaks in it or something to denote look, clothie sitting still casting, just like it does for the Inquisitor. As it is now I am being hit for two or three seconds before I even realize i am being hit, much less where it is coming from and that can make all the difference in a match. Just look how many fricking Consulars are in every Republic PVP team.... they are at least 4 of the 8 in every WZ. Before you say it even the sound of those pebbles being thrown is minimal and lesser in the noise than everything else. Tick,Tick,Tickicicicicick, Ya can't hear the thing. There are other issues with Consulars and their non-stop CC, the junky resolve system not working in PVP etc... but this issue with the rocks is immediate and the easiest to fix the imbalance outside of tweaking the numbers for everyone. PLEASE GIVE CONSULARS MORE EVIDENT ANIMATION IN THEIR PEBBLE THROWING!!
  5. I rolled a Jugg to 50 as my first toon. It is fine for tanking or PVE but PVP they get Annihilated (pardon the bad pun). I had tried a Marauder in beta and right before live they killed it. Now they fixed it with 1.2 and I have 49 which is Carnage spec and I love it. Survivability is good but the burst damage of Carnage is immediate pressure to either run or blow defensive CD's, then when they try to run away they are yours.... and they always try to run away. Overall I prefer the Mara in Carnage spec. I did try the Anni spec but the DPS was too slow and in PVP reinforcements inevitably come, so better to burst them down than hang around in a long protracted fight IMHO. Carnage Marauder for me.
  6. No. Either give all classes the ability to have a taunting, annoying, mocking sound that everyone has to hear or get rid of them.I would have no problem with your giggle if when my unload went off it said something like "Ha, HA!" or with a Powertech yelling "Get over here" when you get yoinked by the cable pull. Make no mistake, that is why it was changed and I am glad for it. Now we just got to get rid of your OP stun lock until damn near death on other players and viola' you guys are right where you need to be, in line with everyone else.
  7. Ok well thanks for the advice. I wanted to discuss it not make a suggestion. I wanted input. So what if it has been suggested before, we should bring it up again and again, and again, and again, and again. We do it until they give us the changes we want, like nerfing blanking operatives. Nobody should be stun locked until death even if they do not have a CD to blow. It's ridiculous
  8. There you go. Since you do not have to craft them yourself why not be able to just out all crafting materials straight to the bank. Of course the game has enough problems still with cut scenes being messed up (My lightsabers are never near me) and mostly not even showing my companion.
  9. they take my greens and blues back to my bank for me?
  10. This^^ That being said, the resolve system is still not working as advertised. Note I said advertised, not intended. Resolve was supposed to prevent someone from being stunlocked until death which DOES NOT WORK. Oh sure I read the Resolve guide, but that is an apologetic rag for it not working as it is supposed to. I am not supposed to save a CC break for when my resolve bar is up, the resolve bar fills and I am supposed to be broken out automatically, then have a period where I cannot be CC'd. Anything else is insufficient with the massive amounts of CC's given to clothies. If you cannot move you are by definition CC'd and that should count in your resolve build up. Hundreds of times I have been left doing the funky fish, or gripping my head in some form of CC, I look down my resolve bar is totally full yet there I am, stuck, unable to do a GD thing. It should be called the annoyed bar as opposed to the resolve bar
  11. Sorry but no. Having played PVP now since the game dropped the "Resolve Bar" mechanic is BROKE! Sure you can read this guide and maybe in some situations you may get a benefit but BEING SNARED IS A FORM OF CROWD CONTROL! Everything that hinders your movement is some form of control hence the CC name. I simply cannot tell you how many times I have been snared, rooted, slowed and stun locked to death. This is not how George advertised it. Stun lock and death is supposed to be non-existent, yet here I am again doing some funky fish, stuck in the air, glowthing on me while I get the crap kicked outta me. I look at my resolve bar, IT'S FULL! Yet here I am. The only way this works without some hitch is that when the bar is full you are no longer stunned. PERIOD! When the resolve bar is full your stun is immediately interrupted, you are free to move and defend yourself, not snared/controlled. Anything else is BS
  12. Yes PLZ!! Make ALL the premades 4 man or 8 man go to ranked WZ's! I am a member of a small guild and only a couple of us PVP (No we do not want to join another Guild) and as a result while we are good players but go in as a two man (if that) we get roflstomped by the premade 4 man groups who force run, get the ball, get yanked, drop down, and pass to the player on the other side. Yes we are all very proud that you can dash right past the PUG. It does not mean we are bad players just unable to stop twice our number, coordinated with a pre-made plan, who will do it 6 times in a row until the match is over. The same things happens in all of the WZ's with the ultra transparent strategy that is executed time and again. So yeah I am for this. Get rid of the premades, make them go into ranked warzones, let them all pre-made circle jerk themselves into oblivion. Otherwise, play like the people who have families, lives, mortgages, jobs. Not sitting in their Mom's basement, eating Hot Pockets and PVP'ng all day and night. Premades automatically go into ranked warzones! Because they are already ahead of everyone else trying to win by the sheer nature of the organization of a premade. Premade and not, those options would work for everyone.
  13. I started this game as a Sith Jugg because we were supposed to be more utilized in PVP with the Guard ability but Jugg's were and are still virtually useless in PVP. They cannot kill anything and without a healer cannot survive long enough to kill 1 on 1. That being said I decided to try the BH which I was intrigued by. Wanting to try a ranged component I rolled Merc/Arsenal and enjoyed it. Then along comes 1.2. In 1.2 the Merc got nerfed to what was intended with the Tracer and a Merc needs to use other abilities like HSM and Unload when it proc's. The Merc needs to be played differently now and yeah Death from Above is more like "Soft Irritating Rain" which sucks, it got nerfed too hard. No, we are not near as potent as the Pyrotech but can still be effective. We just do not have an edge that every other class has to make them supreme if played well. We have a Pyrotech on my server who routinely does nearly 500k dmg, but no Merc's are able to break 300k anymore. Merc's have become mediocre. If you take away our ability to do the same DPS as other classes then you must give us something else...or fix what you broke. Frankly another stun would be great as the Consulars can stunlock us up through and past the great and mighty resolve bar (which I am still waiting for that to work correctly George). Because Merc's do not have stealth, an excessive amount of stuns, speed run, and really only one pushback that is effective to get out of melee range (Punch is notional at best), we need something or more pew pew. Make our Shoulder slam work like the Tanks (Jugg & Guardian) kick with a knockback component. that would make us equally competitive. Not as it is now where it NEVER works thus rendered moot in PVP. After all we do have rockets on our ***.
  14. Between the Smugglers chronic nut kicking, 3 shot killing me (stunned the entire time btw) and the Troopers setting me on fire at the same time, frankly I can't decide which is worse. Playing with the new class balance in PVP or having my nose hairs plucked 3 at a time for the same duration as the PVP warzone. Look, I understand an MMO changes, that is part of the allure. I understand classes will get balanced higher than others and fixes are made. But seriously you guys needed to address the following: You reset my weekly 150 warzone quest when I was at about 121. It takes me 2 weeks to get there because I don't live at my Mom's house and play for 12 hours a day doing PVP. You wiped it out in one shot with no warning... almost like the adjustments you made to the damned Smuggler, they do the same thing now, to both my geared 50's. Give me my 121 points back. It takes a long time for some of us. The Smugglers were bad before but now they are positively horrid. Nobody should be 3 shot, stunned for the duration or nearly, especially when they have decent gear. You killed the Inquisitor healing. Whatever you did they have all abandoned healing and are DPS. I don't pretend to know it all but they have disappeared from the warzones almost as much as a Trooper who is at the bottom of the score charts. Neither exists if that was too subtle for you. 8v8 in ranked warzones? R U KIDDING? 4 man was bad enough in that a decent 4 man could roflstomp even a good pug in Huttball. A decent player should be able to go into ranked and have a chance not be fodder for the biggest guild on the server. 4 man groups are bad enough but can be overcome by a couple of outstanding players and some good teamwork from the other 6. You make it 8 man premade and everyone but the hardcores will quit. Then the hardcores will que up and have it take longer and longer, blame Bioware for the problem with increasing que times, all the while those that are still subscribed who did not quit in disgust will be doing other things until you fix the PVP. You have seen it already with your metrics and dashboards. Sometimes when a certain guild decides they want to PVP, most everyone does something else as they get tired of getting their butt handed to them. After all this guild gets to do a certain WZ ALL THE FRICKIN TIME! So for us poor schmucks who think they can go in and have some fun PVP'ng, Whoops! You did not get the valor when it went up by dozens per day in Ilum, when the game rolled out so you get Centurion or now new "Recruit gear" to combat Battlemaster geared components. Your resolve bar will be full yet you will still be stuck in place, if you are able to survive the initial nut kicking stun lock courtesy of the new and improved Smuggler. And then after you rez you will have an 8 man premade to fight. Class balance is paramount in an MMO. NPC's don't get pissed when they get stun locked and 3 shot. Players paying money do. Funcom could not get the balancing right for Conan and you guys are on the same path. It's a small window before folks move onto other things. So yeah... I for one will not continue to be the fricking rag doll on fire. I'll just go level another class.... or maybe give my subscription a break. I'm sure I am not the only one. One thing you guys did right in this patch was get rid of the that stupid taunting laugh from the Republic classes. I don't even know which toon did it but I almost left because of that. GAWD!! If I want to get laughed at I will go do Improve. Ok maybe the warzones are better now too in that I have seen a bit more variety... but still all the above applies.
  15. Is this just in ranked warzones or is it in unranked too? It is ridiculous that a 4 person group can steamroll even a good PUG in the WZ's but 8 person.. come on do you really want the casual gamer to stop PVP'ng or have to join some guild filled with adolescents who think talking about getting stoned is cool? They will just cancel their sub. That is ridiculous. It was bad enough trying to catch up to the Battlemaster geared 4 man groups, now you are going to make it 8, in unranked... that sounds almost as brilliant as your resolve bar and the fact that PVE gear was supposed to be close to PVP gear, or that the abilities in PVE would transcend into PVP. none of which function as advertised.
