  1. I agree completely with what everyone else is saying. These changes to crafting are terrible and I don't know how it got past the concept board let alone through the development and then the feedback phase was very clear on the test center. People write out huge posts explaining why these changes were bad. The only one that really benefits from this, even they probably don't like it, are large guilds. Crafting is one of my favorite part of the game, why did they mess with something that didn't even need to be changed. Of course the same could be said for Galactica Command being changed to renown, so much development time waste on recreating core features that were fine. It really is no wonder the actual story content is so small, maybe if they spent more time on developing new stuff instead of reworking old system they'd have more time for new content. I hope they fix it fast but I won't hold my breath for it.
  2. You match how I feel. This isn't the first time they've wasted tons of hour revamping the class specs or gearing system but now its crafting, renown, and icons, etc. I keep thinking of all the hours they could have put in toward new content like story, PVP, raids, etc. I've never seen a game redo their core features ever two to three years when it's not like we're getting tons of content. Still, like the game just never did get wasting time on those features when it could go toward new content.
  3. I can't say I'm surprised even a little. I really don't even know why they do the test center as they ignore the player feedback but that not really shocking. To be honest it didn't make sense from the start as it didn't follow how crafting has worked and the new system locks a lot of people out of crafting common green gear, which have little value anyway. The only logical reason I can think of for these weird changes is that they are trying to force grouping or strongly encourage it by locking need materials behind it. This seems possible as they also are making content harder and moving up conquest etc, which all encourage group, specifically joining large guilds. It a bad move in my opinion and I think it just going to turn people off. It really makes me sad as I enjoy crafting.
  4. I couldn't have said it better myself and really hope they haved used all the helpful feedback the community has provided them. I won't count on it since many times in the past they've ignored feedback and instead we had to wait months as they make the changes that people told them about from day one.
  5. Sadly much like how they keep changing the gearing system, they keep going back and forth between being solo/casual friendly to trying to force grouping. The sad thing is the different modes should be able to accommodate both groups without any trouble.
  6. I think you hit the nail on the head and like you, I hope they are listening to the feedback because the changes to crafting and gearing aren't good by a long shot. Nothing I'm seeing is going to truly help me play my way as they claimed, but no surprise their is just new grind. I don't know why they think they can balance all these new gears when balancing has been a problem since the game launched. Either way, I'm not holding my breath for any huge changes and yes I will continue to play the game. I think we'll see a few tweaks that improve it a little and then like with Knights of the Fallen Empire they will spend the next few months making changes to make the new systems mediocre at best. Honestly, they spend a lot of time reinventing the gearing system in this game, I feel like it's every 2 to 3 years anymore. I just wish they leave it alone and instead focus that development time on something else.
  7. While I understood for many things were becoming too easy ramping up the difficulty on old content I believe will just drive out players who aren't as skilled or simply play for the story. Honestly, the story mode should be a cakewalk because that why we have that mode. Also, there are so many ways a player could make the game more difficulty don't wear the best gear, use a DSP companion, etc. and don't run story mode if you are looking for a challenge. My sister and I often challenge ourselves by seeing how many chapters we can get through before actually having to put the better gear on, it is quite fun. I just think like many of these changes increase planet difficult making heroic missions harder aren't really improving or adding anything to the game. Instead, they are resting us and just trying to stretch out old content by making it slower and more tedious. Still, love the game but to me, it feels like another reset like the one we got with Knights of the Fallen Empire.

  9. I hope that this will be lowered and as you suggest it simply a place holder because right now it seems unrealistic. Well just have to wait and see.
  10. Wonderful, this has me really concerned because crafting something I enjoy in the game even if I more of a casual player. I really hope they listen to the feedback because this sounds terrible. I'm starting to worry that the only thing this new system will do is add more RNG and grind to everything. Even the Jawa junk vendor currently seem unbalanced. Not everyone has massive stacks of resources and Jawa junk. I'm concerned this entire thing is being geared toward the elite players who have endless stacks of resources/credits/Jawa junk to buy what they need. I'll keep my finger crossed that they tone it down. I also will get on test center to check it out and keep an eye on it.
  11. I would like an answer to this question too. Along with will there be an alternative way for the player to unlock this type of bonus through the new system.
  12. You brought up some great questions that I would like to see answered. I don't want to see the other items that drop from command crates lost either, including some decoration/mounts. Not that I'm sure but I thought they said in the live stream that Galactic Renown will reset after major update "expansion" so maybe the level will just keep going up till expansion then reset. It really shouldn't hurt or matter as loot crates won't be tiers based but instead based on your character and if the system works as they say it will just supplement our gear progression. I'm intrigued and hope the system will be a nice change.
  13. I was curious to if the GR starts at level 1 too, I really think it should. That way leveling and playing the story can help the player build up their GR through XP etc, plus with the fact it reset it shouldn't hurt anything. I don't mind GR resetting but was wondering what others think about the GR just resetting. I suppose it might make it feel more grindy but it the system is truly just supplemental then I guess it wouldn't matter all that much. In theory is overall sound good but I won't know till I get a look at it.
  14. I'm having the same problem, it really annoying as I had very little time to play and due to the server issue got very little done I really hope this get better as I've had trouble more then once since the transfer.
  15. My sister and I were talking about this last night. For example, I bought serval items directly off the GNT/cartel market on separate servers but overall I'm going to end up at a net loss because I'm stuck with the cap for my highest number of a given decoration. Yes, I can keep them where they are forever, but that still means I lose them if I accidentally move the decoration or close a stronghold down to get a new one. This is unfair, thankfully most of the one I bought was with in-game credits and I only bought a few bundles of decorations with my cartel coins. I feel bad for players that may have bought more price items, even if they paid with in-game credit as some these decorations cost millions. I would be mad if I bought those Rep decoration bundles, painting bundles, or Christmas one on multiple servers, as these aren't that cheap. Let alone if you paid millions to get a rare decoration on two servers now you only have one of them. I think they need to make sure the system counts how many decorations a person actually has in all their house.
