  1. So I poked around the first few pages and didn't find anything like this, so I figured I'd bring it up! First, I would love to see a Sort by Category option in the Inventory / Cargo. If items are already "flagged" by category for the GTN, would it be a huge leap to make items sortable this way too? I have not found a way to make the current sorting options do anything meaningful. Even sorting by quality I get blues with greens and purples and oranges all mixed together. Second, I would love an option to filter out non-researchable crafting items in the crafting table. I know it may not matter to some people, but having to run down the list to make sure I am making something I can research every time gets tedious, especially once I'm high level enough to have a few hundred items. If an item is flagged as researchable, can't this also just be filtered? Also, and this one is probably a tad more complicated, but I would love an option to choose what item types go into different cargo holds. Having a "deposit to cargo" button that just throws equipment or crafting mats or misc (whatever that means) into the cargo without single clicking everything would be pretty neat. Maybe just have each cargo have filter settings that you can check or uncheck based on category? Something I may have missed, but I didn't see anything in options or the interface editor. I would like a way to make the chat non-selectable with the mouse and have it only activate when pressing enter. I like having a big chat box but unless shove everything around it elsewhere on the screen I get prompts and windows I can't click on because I keep having the chat become active when I mouse over it. This isn't as useful for everyone I suppose, but it has annoyed me about a dozen times in the last few days since I resubscribed. On another interface issue, I would like to be able to hide achievements that I've completed. It would make for a cleaner window and help me focus. Just a minor thing, I suppose. Anywho, these things just came to mind. Thanks for reading
  2. Need == This is an immediate upgrade that I will definitely use. Greed == This is something that I will potentially sell and/or can't use.
  3. Ranged can do a lot more than 10m. And since when are anything but Warriors/Knights melee? Double-blade force users who run up into the melee usually get their face kicked in.
  4. My Sith Marauder has an amazing ship, worthy of a dude who is out to make the galaxy his *****. My Republic trooper has something that looks like an elaborate paper clip with a window. Even if it doesn't come from legacy, make that 1.5 mill cred speeder another ship and I'll be pleased!
  5. Cashing in on rare mats that people wholesale out in bulk is way more profitable if you use it for crafting. Sometimes I'll run into someone selling a 30-40 stack of a rare Underworld mat for 400-600 credits, when it generally goes for 750 credits for 2 on my server. Turning that into 10-15 blues will make that 600 credit investment into something like 9-10k. Not huge money, but my Republic alt is only Lv. 20. It's not dirty. It's just business.
  6. I say people would find a way to cheese it or eventually would 'grind out' stats with friends and it would quickly become meaningless. Kind of like putting on PvP gear, pointless enchants and gems to artificially inflate Gearscore to get into Heroics happens all the time on WoW. However, if someone has a good idea what classes need what stats, a quick glance over someone's character sheet can tell you their potential. How well they play their class is something you really have to test out. Unless they have the really awesome Tionese HOMG gear. In which case, well, you know they've at least been through the content.
  7. Well, with all the crap the Empire gets into, they still have fairly dominant control on major cities. The places that you go to are the places that are currently having issues. The rest of the galaxy is under Empire control. Also, empires historically are incredibly difficult to micromanage. And all powerful Sith who aren't currently trying to bring the Empire to power have way too much time and enjoy being ***** to each other. It's all cyclical.
  8. I was listening to a podcast where it was mentioned that it feels like they started the show with a showstopper in regards to Flashpoints. Hopefully they are not shy about modifying existing Flashpoints to bring them up to par. It's so tricky because of the voice acting, though. Would they just revamp the whole thing? Would they be willing to get rid of dialogue that was paid for and recorded and just doesn't work with a redesign? Time will tell, but the hope is that even if the current FPs remain the same, FPs that come in the future are way more tailored. Besides, if you don't like the story, then spacebar your way through it and group up with people that do the same. Which is usually most people if you've already run it once.
  9. Yeah. Avoiding the GTN for deals on crafted purples is a dumb idea whether you have orange gear or not.
  10. Dark V is not terribly different. By Dark IV your eyes are red. At V they look glowier, though I might be making that up. There's veins, dark circles around his eyes. That's about it, though.
  11. Sure. I, for one, usually use a combination of GTN purple mods and commendation mods, alongside with my own BioChem purple implants, stim, healthpack and surge reusables. At Lv. 48, I have a good chunk of my gear at the highest rating I can have before 49 gear, and my companion is maybe 8 rating below me. I also end up in top 3 in kills in PvP, and enjoy putting mouthy Jedi in their place. And long walks on the beach. Chances are you're not on Darth Bandon. But if you are, we can duel. The point remains, a quick look at the GTN tells me that there are a ton of cheap purple mods and a lot of overpriced purple gear. And the time it takes to make the gear yourself is all fun if you're crafting it, but it's way more time than I need to spend to get the same result.
  12. My female bounty hunter tries to sex it up regularly. Way more than my male marauder.
  13. The last design document I can remember being released in full by someone who made the game was Grim Fandango. That came out in, what, 1994?
  14. But at least the thread gives you the attention that your 1.5 million credit speeder isn't getting you, right? At least YOU'LL always know what you paid for it. And that's what really matters.
  15. It's also ridiculously expensive to buy in place of a handful of mods that will have a minimal stat difference while leveling, and if you're talking about making your own gear, the time it takes to get credits or commendations for a few mods is far less than it would take to get a green item recipe'd up to a purple, not counting the cost of getting/use missions for mats. Purple gear is generally not worth it until late late game, it's not ideal to level in, and is only really worthwhile to pick up for Earpiece/Implants/Belt/Bracers if you can see one cheap. Otherwise, orange and blues for you, orange and green for your companion, upgrade your mods once or twice per planet. You'll be golden 1-49.
