  1. Working from TOR to the end of TFA the overall theme is the knowledge of the Force has deteriorated over time. I don't know if that is intentional or not, but starting from the end and going backwards the galactic community views the Force similar to Rey. The Force and Jedi are all but forgotten to where Luke is almost a legend that may or may not have actually existed. Moving back to EP 1-3, the galaxy is quite aware of the existence of Jedi is the feature prominently in galactic governance, but very few know if the existence of their dark side counterparts the Sith. Moving back to the TOR era the Sith have their own planetary headquarters and as such the galaxy is well aware of their existence.
  2. Trying to switch my sec. key to another phone. Putting the app on the new phone it asks for the S/N. FAQ's say to go to information in the app for the s/n, but I see no other options other than to actually type in an S/N
  3. Are locked datacrons shown in the Legacy window. I've gotten most of them, maybe all at some point or other and not sure if i'm missing any.
  4. I don't totally disagree. However, if the focus is going to be on PvE there are some things that need tweaking. First, most enemy encounters that are meant to be PvE are entirely too easy to solo and slogging through the normal adds really isn't any fun. So if more focus is going to be put on the PvE side, they should put some work into making enemy encounters more challenging.
  5. I would tend to agree with you. I took a pretty good hiatus (a few months from SWTOR). Picked it up again w/ KotFE. From a story stand point I liked it. Totally unique take on the emperor. That take a few days for me to get through with my schedule, then got the Destiny bug for a few weeks and am back to logging some time with SWTOR the last few days. Long story short, I agree the lack of news is kind of odd. Prior to the break I took I had played SWTOR religiously since launch and in that time BioWare I thought did a decent job of actively communicating about issues and updates, but we haven't heard much since KotFE dropped in Oct. and certain happenings are what I would call ominous in terms of SWTOR long term future. First the number of people leaving the development team. As noted, maybe that was just the length of their contract. The question is/was there a plan in place for SWTOR to continue after that? Or is this the end of what they expected the life of the game to be? The other ominous thing for SWTOR I think is Disney. A lot of SW history went away when Disney bought the ip. Development stopped on 1313, no more EU, etc., but SWTOR remained relatively untouched. I really don't expect that to continue. Disney I think will want most anything with Star Wars' name attached to it to be of the utmost quality. I don't think money is the issue here, as another alluded to. It's Disney. They have money coming out their giant mouse ears and I think at some point they're going to want a better chunk of the MMORPG pie. I like SWTOR cause I like SW and don't get me wrong BioWare has done an admirable job with it, but it is starting to look a little dated. I can certainly see a company like Disney wanting to start on a new slate. Longer story short, I think these things could spell the end of SWTOR sooner than later.
  6. I wouldn't mind being able to change their appearance again, but having to actually gear for best stats and stuff I don't miss at all. Less crap in inventory.
  7. LOT'S of complaints about Rey using a lightsaber which I guess I really don't understand. Is it used strictly by Jedi and Sith? Yes, but for all practical intents it's a sword. Wielding a sword, especially out of necessity, doesn't take years of training. People are also upset that she bested Kylo. Not sure why that's so surprising or disappointing and this leads to what I though was one of the better executed plot points. Kylo is no Vader or even Maul. He is very raw, not fully trained and conflicted and I thought that came across well in the movie. So it was no big surprise/disappointment that he could bested by a novice with a lightsaber.
  8. Just echoing what others here have said, but yeah must have watched a different movie than everyone else. There was nothing in TFA that suggests Ren was a 'fully trained dark jedi'. In fact it's made pretty freakin' clear that he's not throughout the movie. His outbursts, Rey learning he's scared of something, his lack of prominence in the new order, he clearly isn't in charge. He's a very blunt instrument with an obsession with his grandfather that Snoak is taking advantage of. Oh and let's not forgot the biggest give away. Snoak Says 'bring Kylo Ren to me so I may finish is training. FINISH HIS TRAINING!! AS IN NOT 'FULLY TRAINED". Buy another ticket. Watch it again.
  9. In a universe full of amazing coincidences that would feel too random at this point. If Rey is not a Solo or Skywalker offspring there's nothing special about her. She can use the force and Luke's lightsaber 'calls' to her. Those are pretty difficult details to explain away having no relation to them. In the bigger picture SW isn't just about neat stuff going on in this cool universe. At its heart it's about a family. Star Wars is about the Skywalkers and really one man, Anakin, and how his legacy plays out through his future generations. I don't see the star wars universe getting away from that. Nor would I want it to.
  10. Perhaps sold at the same time Rey got left there by Han and Leia. Still very torn. As indicated in the article there is decent evidence that she is Luke's child except that would be a repeat of what got his father in trouble in the first place. Had Anakin been a good little Jedi he would have stuck to the rule and avoided a romantic relationship. Luke has always struck me as someone trying not to make the mistakes his father did as in go against Jedi teachings, fall in love and have a kid.
  11. Specifically on how Rey is related to any of the original cast members. Going into the movie I thought as many others I think did that it was a forgone conclusion that Rey is Han a Leia's kid (and she may still be). I was surprised that Kylo was revealed to be their offspring. This is probably the most interesting plot point of the whole film. Rey has to the be the offspring of either Luke and someone or Han and Leia and I really can't decide which, but I've read some theories for an against. The biggest issue with Rey being Han and Leia's kid is they appear not to recognize her and the flash back sequence with Rey should mean she should at least recognize Leia, so to still be their child would require some type of mind wipe plot device. This seems all the more unlikely because Han and Leia both acknowledge Kylo is their son. The only thing I can think is Han and Leia are trying very hard to make sure Rey does't know that she is their daughter and thus related to Kylo. About the only piece of evidence in the move that they are related is the super convenient location of the falcon. It just happens to be on the same planet that Rey lives on? Only makes sense if the both got left there at the same time(though SW is admittedly full of convenient coincidences). The other evidence is not really anything in the movie, rather over arching SW themes. Two more twins mirroring Luke and Leia as twins and keeping Rey's lineage a secret from her very much paralleling Leia not knowing her relation to Luke until EP VI . Evidence that Rey is Luke's daughter; essentially see the above. Kylo is acknowledged as Han and Leia's but Rey is not (again they may be intentionally keeping that from her). The other main piece of evidence would be Luke's first light saber via Anakin's 'calls' to her. Anywho let the speculation begion. Love to here more theories.
  12. I looked at Rey's ability more from the perspective of not her being so good with a lightsaber, but Kylo not being so great. He's no Darth Vader in terms of mastery of the force. He came across as very self taught in my opinion.
  13. On your points: 1) I wondered that to. I thought Sidow's character would be more prominent. At least that's what initial casting way back when lead us to believe. We don't even learn who he is. 2) Not necessarily a plot hole if R2 knows who Rey is. Why very well could be. I think what wasn't revealed was that Rey is also the daugter of one of the principle characters either Han and Leia or Luke and someone else. 6) The flashback is a bit hard to follow. If Han and Leia are her parents you would think she would at least recognize Leia. If Rey is their offspring then we need some type of mind wipe plot device which I would hate, but I don't think J.J. would use such a contrivence. Though it would be cool if Rey and Ben/Kylo are twins. Nice homage to the extended universe and a very ineresting plot. She has to be the offspring of one of them. Just can't decide who.
  14. To the OP I think you're making a lot of leaps that can't be made. Specifically where the various planets are concerned. In the new cannon I don't believe any such events have been referenced. Overall thoughts on the movie: It was very 'A New Hope', yes, but that didn't really bother me. Parallel stories and history repeating itself has always been on overarching theme of SW. I liked the semi curve ball that it was Kylo being revealed as Han and Leia's kid, rather than Rey as the trailer's seemed to point to (not to say that won't turn out to be the case). Overall I was slightly underwhelmed but I think that is unavoidable if you're true fan boy or girl. It was also a little weird in that I came away realizing how used to a George Lucas directed SW I was just in the way things were shot. There were some points of greater disappointment: Not enough Cpt. Phasma I think most of us knew going in that Luke's screen time would be pretty small, but amounting to essentially a cameo an no dialogue at all? That was a bit disappointing.
  15. The 'Improved Power Conversion Module' that can be obtained and equipped to my personal ship, does not stay equipped. Once leaving my ship it is returned to my inventory. All other modules on my ship stay in place.
