  1. Always gonna buy the cheapest. I typically undercut by hundreds, or thousands. I don't care if they're bought and flipped by the person above me: in the real world, that's called "wholesale", and people make a killing doing it. But the real reason I do it (both buying the cheapest, and selling a LOT less than the person above me)? I'm lazy, cheap, and impatient.
  2. Okay, so, what changes in gameplay should I be making? I used to DPS and taunt until I saw a good group, jump in and Smash, but trying that now just gets me dead. Without that huge DPS burst, people either survive my smash and make me pay, or they don't need to run/heal, and they make me pay. Do I need to be focusing on a single target to receive my Smash, and just taking any fluff damage that may hit people in the AoE radius as a "well, it'll go on the scoreboard, but it won't change the game"?
  3. Yeah, I don't have any proof, I'm just kinda Fan Wanking here (don't click that if you value your time/sanity). Definitely not claiming it's canon, but it seems like a reasonable explanation for a pretty illogical rule. Like one of the above posters mentioned, Jedi are tempted to fall to the Dark Side when they lose their Masters (and vice versa), an attachment forced on them by the Jedi Order, but they still follow the Master/Padawan dictate. Jedi fall to the Dark Side after seeing combat, but they still engage in battle. And a LOT of Jedi fall because they think that failing ONCE is a complete failure, so they should just embrace it (see Juhani). The one rule that would provide them with powerful Jedi dynasties (see the Skywalkers) is against the rules. I see a disconnect there, and the most likely source of the disconnect is the ancient enemy of the Order.
  4. I'm of the opinion that this ban was in some way influenced by Sith infiltrators into the Jedi order. In many ways, the "Love" ban led to a great deal of turmoil, and the loss of many Jedi. We know the Sith have infiltrated the Jedi order in disguise before (see BTC 103 entry here: http://www.swtor.com/holonet/galactic-history), and we know the Sith have nothing to lose, and everything to gain from the move. Less Jedi children being born as a result of Jedi parentage, thus breaking up many of the powerful Force bloodlines. More Padawans, and Jedi, falling to the Dark Side as a result of believing their love is wrong, and deciding to go all out with Dark Side passions. I think the New Jedi Order shows that love, and marriage, were not wrong. Even Anakin's love for Padme wasn't wrong; it was his rejection of "There is no Death, there is only The Force" that caused him to follow Palpatine. I know, it's pretty crazy, but you have to admit the move is very Sith-like, and gains them a lot in the long term. All they had to do was push for restrictions when the time was right; Revan's betrayal, et al. Definitely Wild Mass Guessing (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/WildMassGuessing (DO NOT GO THERE!), but to me, it explains a lot of this crazy aspect of the Old Republic's Jedi.
  5. I love it, and I have tons of alts AND 55's. I don't really worry too much about gear whilst leveling, since I'm typically 5 levels higher than the content I'm pushing at any given time. If I feel like I have to work too hard, I spend my planetaries at the highest level Comm Vendor I can.
  6. Tarsarian Devourer! Pleeeeease! Amazing looking beasty! https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&docid=mPSegLZEJU-UfM&tbnid=hzNrZ9FkNlwKbM:&ved=0CAUQjRw&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.torhead.com%2Fnpc%2F2rFIetM%2Fenraged-tarsarian-devourer&ei=HGo_U7LHCujayAHp4YCADg&bvm=bv.64125504,d.aWc&psig=AFQjCNF0Jpx1r7xuIr8v-Ddf8AjcvL_Tdw&ust=1396751252485254
  7. Oh, I'd never skip it for my Tank. I was asking more from the standpoint of Madness/Deception builds.
  8. Same question, but Sith Defiance versus Lightning Reflexes.
  9. Am I going to notice Sith Defiance or Insulation more?
  10. If marijuana is called pot, what do you call that metal thing you boil water in? It's all about context.
  11. Don't know if this has been mentioned, but what about a mechanic for capture points that doesn't rely on people not fighting in order to capture? Say there is a neutral point, and on the ground is a circle. Standing within that circle begins the capturing process, more team mates makes the process faster. That way, everyone can still fight, CC still affects the game play, and you can affect the objectives without standing AFK at a node/clicking something. The fun part of PvP is fighting, not clicking stuff and hoping someone doesn't see you.
  12. Long time follower, first time poster. This one was too weird. Queued for Athiss on my 23 DPS sage, and got a 'slinger, Scoundrel healer and a Shadow Tank. Now, the first warning came after the first mob, when the Shadow tank neglected to recharge after the fight. I also noticed they were draining no Force. They were just using Saber Strike, over, and over, and over. After being asked to use their rest, they said...nothing. Not a thing. Others in my group called them "fail tank" and other lovely epithets. Well, they continued on in this manner, Saber Striking, not healing, charging on silently and getting us killed more than a couple times. The final straw came when they pulled three temple guards. The Shadow, with stealth, and a glorious stealth stun, ran straight up to three temple guards, and got us all killed. At that point, we began discussing kicking the tanker. Personally, I didn't want to kick the tanker right before we got to the main boss; it's not fair to the tanker we get to replace them. So I came up with an admittedly low-blow plan, and explained it to the group. Keep in mind, the tanker remained silent the entire Athiss run, even while we planned (and executed) their demise. We got to the main boss' room, and proceeded to spank and tank. The tanker continued to only Saber Strike, no taunts, no shields, no defensive CDs. We managed to beat him, but it definitely took longer than it should have. Immediately after the boss died, and right before they could click the chest and collect the reward, we vote-kicked them. Just like we'd planned. In team-chat. They did not respond, they did not protest. They just...Saber Strike'd to victory, and got booted before the real reward. I said thanks to the group, reminded them to ignore this wonder of Shadow Tanking strategy, and went back to questing.
  13. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v285/evendown/Athing.png My Madness Assassin, Ethammos. Took the picture with Fraps and edited it a bit with Gimp to make the colors pop and add some anti-aliasing.
  14. I saw this on Nar Shadda, and I liked it. It would give 'Pubs access to the pants and halter bikini that Sith security key owners get. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v285/evendown/Screenshot_2013-06-15_22_48_35_738012.jpg http://smg.photobucket.com/user/evendown/media/Screenshot_2013-06-15_22_48_41_030315.jpg.html
