  1. You can only skip them going from the planet --> ship. Can't skip ship --> planet. I don't really mind them, as some planets have a reason lore-wise that you can't land directly on the planet. Hoth for example, is to cold for most ships to land on unless they have some special equipment which the shuttles have. Quesh is another good example, as you must be treated on the orbital station so that you won't die upon entering the planet. Voss is a maybe, since Republic/Imperial access is limited, and most likely most ships aren't allowed to directly land on... Actually, there reallyi isn't a safe place to build a spaceport on Voss, between the Gormak, the nightmare lands, and the very limited space on Voss-Ka. So, I don't really mind them
  2. you don't have to. feel free to slot a yellow, blue, green, orange or red crystal. All level 50 crystals have the same stats, so there is no reason to use a black-core crystal. Unless, is someone forcing you somehow? What he meant by slippery slope, and which you obviously missed several times as it was said several times in this thread, was that if the devs do listen and insert this toggle, what's to stop someone else wanting to change the way the world looks to them, and having it done. What if they implement your suggestion, and someone says they want a toggle to male all people look like gungans on their side, because they were big fans of the Phantom Menace and liked Jar Jar and that other guy got his idea implemented. Now, that is far, far more ridiculous than this, but you get my point. It opens up the suggestion box so suddenly people get to ask for toggles based on their own idea of star wars, and BW has to grant them (unless they are completely and utterly ridiculous) because they already did it once and it keeps the "original spirit of Star Wars". Its not a black-orange crystal on the CM, btw. It is a orange-yellow crystal, check for yourself. There are no black-core crystals that BW is making direct revenue off of. Like it or not, this game is different from the films. Its more based off the EU that is based on the films then it is on the films themselves, and LA has given BW license to create their own part of the EU. i.e. Voss, which I hear was originally just mentioned once, in a comic made a long time ago, and never seen. These black-core crystals are now canon, and BW didn't even invent them. Black-core crystals predate SWTOR, they just weren't seen in any colors until now. The pink-purple and orange-yellow crystals, I agree can go. I never plan to use one, but that's my choice. There are people who like them, and that's their choice. Since you like saying it so much, you're welcome for the bumps, btw
  3. or bad players, nothing like finishing off that smash mara you've been kiting around the map with thrash
  4. you could dodge them instead
  5. This is fine, I actually think it would be cooler if consulars/inquisitors would put away their lightsabers, since imo it gives more of the impression that they are really building up power and using it when they put away their saber and start concentrating solely on using the force.
  6. No black-core crystals are on the market, and I am certainly not buying cartel packs purely for the pink/purple crystal. There is one crystal available for direct purchase on the market (the yellow-orange crystal), and even that is possible to get in packs, so you don't have to spend money on that if you don't want to. I highly doubt people are playing the game just so they can use a black-core crystal. A crystal is a way to express individuality or achievements. So how are these crystals generating revenue? Even if it would take the devs so little time, I would rather they use that hour in a way that doesn't reduce someone's indivuality
  7. Exactly, above all else, this is an MMO. In a game with a lot of players, individuality and customization are VERY important. Taking that away takes away that persons customization and individuality, and even if they dont use this toggle, knowing BW has an option in the game that would reduce their individuality in others eyes would get many people mad. What BW is doing here is taking a piece of lore that has already been established -- Black-core crystals -- and expanding on them to allow players to further increase their customization and individuality (Black-core crystals are an established part of lore, deal with it). This is SWTOR, not SWG, not everything is the same as the movies. Edit:Not saying what you want has something to do with SWG, I meant in terms of time period, making this game different in many ways than the movies, it includes a lot more of the galaxy then the movies did.
  8. Its exactly what youre saying though. You are asking to have a client side toggle that ignores canon outside the movies so lightsabers only appear with a white core. That "suggestion" was asking for a client side toggle that ignores canon outside the movies so those planets look different or more like other planets from the movies, or take them out all together. and to all the people that think people feel like they have to use black-core crystals because they have the best stats, There is a color available for every crystal in the game that has end game stats, they are not even hard to get, there is no reason someone should feel like they have to use a black-core saber
  9. Cant we all just agree Revan is awesome and leave it at that?
  10. Expertise augments dont exist. It is the best stat for PvP.... at least till you get about 1200 or so. There is some debate on the exact number you should stop at, but it all comes on PvP gear -- recruit, Battlemaster, War Hero, etc. Hope that helps, not sure how much of that you knew already
  11. I dont think anyone here is saying he was run of the mill, everyone says he was exceptional, he was a great tactition, but not a genius. He was a very powerful force user, one of the strongest in his day, but he is not as powerful as some make him out to be. Everyone here is saying Revan is an exceptional force user, but theyre debating on how exceptional he really is. At least, thats what I'm getting out of this thread That being said, hearing all this stuff about Revan makes it kind of hard to believe that 4 people, no matter how exceptional, could "kill" () Revan in a level 35 FP I realize these are some of the most powerful people in the empire, but it still seems like a stretch to me. At least now I know why he never Chaneled the power of the light side in that encounter
  12. I dont want my sniper to exist, IAs weren't in the original series, can I get a toggle so I never see IAs or play with them? that'd be great, thanks
