  1. I've already quit, pvp balance got thrown out the window with latest patch. Developers have always been horrid in this game, clearly they dont play it themselves
  2. Expertise itself has way too much attached to it. +60% damage? REALLLY? 60% that is... rather a LOT. This is a problem for MANY reasons, but one of them is quite simply this: Any class imbalances are magnified by those expertise percentages, making them MUCH WORSE.
  3. It's never worked any differently. You get +100 resistance to force and tech attacks. That does... exactly what it says it does. Accuracy does... exactly what it says it does too. I.e. if someone running, oh 105% tech accuracy attempts to do something to you while force shroud is up, there is in fact, a 5% chance it will work. IT"S ALWAYS BEEN LIKE THAT FROM DAY 1. Of course, if this wasn't another wave of fotm sins qqing, who had in fact played the class from day 1, you might have already known that. Oh btw, snipers/gunslingers have a cooldown that gives them an accuracy boost, so against that particular class, they have a greater chance of bypassing force shroud. *GASP* What, you mean you poor saps have to cope with someone using a cooldown against your cooldown and it actually working 5% of the time due to their accuracy stat? WOW OMG! THE SKY IS FALLING! SINS ARE UNDER POWERED AND FORCE SHROUD NEEDS TO BE BUFFED TO 10000% IMMEDIATELY SO WE CAN BE UTTERLY GODLIKE! Poor underpowered fotm sins, I pity you. Not.

Speak as a valor 100 Assassin (one of very first in the game) the issue is the talents. They need to be split back into the various trees like they were originally. Specifically: Force speed remove movement impairing: tank only +2 seconds on force shroud: tank only immunity to CC while deflection is running: tank only Those 3 should not be accessible to dps trees, they are tank abilities. Give tank abilities to a dps with stealth and yeah, you have just unbalanced pvp simply by doing that alone. The duration on deflection should also be only 6-9 seconds for non-tanks imho. 12 seconds is ridiculously long a dps. There was simply no reason to buff these abilities for non-tanks, they don't need them for pve and it's simply over powered for pvp on dps. Frankly, even with the shorter duration, SKILLED shadows and assassins will be much like they were before. You simply don't need any kind of skill when your opponent can't CC you at all for 19 seconds simply by rotating your cooldowns, all the while radically reducing or completely eliminating any damage they can do to you. Further, they somehow picked up the sorc talent for immobilization on overload. They should never have been given that, it's far stronger on an assassin (who can come at you from stealth) then on a sorc. That one should simply be removed entirely and left to sorcs where it belongs.
  5. I have a 8 55's, and I only pvp. It so happens I took a year away from the game, so none of those 55's had pvp end-game pvp gear on. But they certainly could have, and if I leveled each one via pvp (which has in the past been how I did it), that would take a long time.
  6. The real problem is that some classes simply have OVER POWERED defense abilities and snipers don't. hence, snipers auto-lose since their offence is no better, but their defense is vastly weaker. Assassins have ridiculously good options, simply put, you cant get better defenses since they simply make you 100% immune. Not reduced damage, not reduced CC time, just IMMUNE. Assassin gets snared, use force speed - no longer snared and immune. Assassins doesn't feel like getting stunned or hit very much, use deflection IMMUNE to stun IMMUNE to flashbang and large bonus to ranged defence all with a long duration. Assassin doesn't feel like being dotted, CC'd or damaged by anything significant, just use force shroud, 5 seconds total immunity. And my personal favourite low skill noob talent, assassin somehow in danger, oh I'll just force cloak, and when I do that, I get a free force shroud so I cant be unstealthed by AOE, remove all dots without any kind of planning or cooldown management, it just happens. I have a valor 100 assassin myself, I understand perfectly well how they work. Right now, they seem to get all the damage and burst thats at LEAST as good as the best any other class can do PLUS the best active defences, stealth, restealth, and strong offensive cooldowns like recklessness to boot. Best of all, now you can have it all, be full dps and have active cooldowns like a tank did pre-patch at the same time. Frankly, the developers have rocks in their heads and clearly no idea of pvp balance at all. From what I can see, they have attempted to normalize dps across the classes and specs and have absolutely no regard for the abilities those classes have. So, for example, a commando will have similar to dps to an assassin on a non-moving, non-reacting target. Problem is, that is not going to lead to anything remotely balanced. If the commando cops an interrupt, the skill they were casting does absolutely nothing. How many ways can a commando's action be interrupted by an assassin? 1) Simple interrupt. 2) Electrocute 3) Whirlwind 4) Force shroud (also removing all dots on the assassin) 5) Force Cloak (triggers 4, so again, remove all dots) 6) overload 7) Spike How many ways can a commando prevent an assassin from doing what they were doing? Well, almost everything the assassin does is an INSTANT, so, they don't have nearly as many options and the assassin has a direct counter for most of them. 1) Knock back - assassin can force speed, removing the snare and regaining their previous position in ~ 1 second. This has a longer cooldown then force speed, so the assassins answer is better. 2) Cryo grenade. It's a stun, the assassin can be pre-emptively immune via deflection, force shroud. 3) Concussion round. Exactly as above, the assassin has 2 ways to be immune, they can also interrupt it in 6 other ways if the commando is foolish enough to hard cast it. 4) Web shot - this ability is a problem for an assassin, but, it's the only skill the commando that hinders them. The assassin has a LOT more options, even while under this effect. Snipers are in a similar boat to commando's. Reality is, even if the assassin starts unstealthed at range (and that is the best case scenario) they will have no problem smashing either class and that is WRONG. What is worse, it's going to stay like this for a year or longer since biofail pays no attention to class balance or this would never have happened in the first place.
  7. There is no way on earth that is going to be Revan lol. It wouldn't surprise me if they are a female though.
  8. This expansion is a mixed bag. Some stuff is great while other stuff is worse then awful. Unfortunately, it's the awful that's got me not wanting to resub. With the pace problems get fixed in this game (i.e. annually...) I simply have no faith that things will be working properly. Early access has been completely wrecked for me by the bugs with the Enemy within quest. I seriously don't even want to login and it's only the first day. My sub expires soon and there is absolutely no reason to renew it when I can't even complete the expansion quest line. When I unsubbed last time it took like 12 months before I returned again, I expect this will be same. Learn to test your expansions before inflicting your buggy **** upon your customers. Bioware was a company I used to respect. Not any more.
  9. Revan stuns all the NPCs, then melees myself and companion down. He does not go into a bubble or spawn any fissures - I've seen him do that once during over 10 attempts, but I couldn't work out what to do because the tooltips are misleading. Specifically, on the tooltips, it seemed to imply I can block the projectiles, so I tried to do that. In fact, your supposed to run and stand on top of the NPCs and it has nothing to do with blocking the projectiles. You could begin by writing a sensible tooltip if you want people to understand your content without resorting to trial and error. Now, the main problem is 90% of the time, he stuns ALL the NPCS, PERMANENTLY, with NO WAY TO FREE THEM, because no light/dark fissures spawn, while he continues to use all his melee abilities on you with no healing, so you die in short order. This quest has been EXTREMELY irritating for me and MANY others. I liked the story part, but seriously, any good will you got from that was burnt and turned to anger and frustration by this extremely sloppy implementation of the final quest which I simply can't complete. If you wanted to design a quest to PISS PEOPLE OFF, you passed with flying colours. If I was supposed to enjoy it, you failed utterly. So far, this isn't even in the known issues. Well, your actually affecting EVERYONE in early access with this alpha level quest implementation. How this ever got past alpha, let alone into beta, let alone into LIVE, I will never know. Sadly, such poor quality is what has become the norm for bioware. Your brand is dead to me.
  10. I had a look at the calculator on Dulfy's site. If accurate, assassins just got promoted from demi-god to simply GOD ALMIGHTY in pvp. It's like, o I'd like to take this node 1v1. O Hai, I activate deflection and I'm IMMUNE TO DISABLES AND STUNS for *12* seconds. Mean while, I can also be completely immune to all force and tech attacks for what, 5 seconds. This also cleanses any dots you put on me, but you can't cleanse mine, cause thats class balance bro. If you redot me after that, np, I can just force cloak to get force shroud, which cleanses those dots off me, again. Assassin dps could be dropped by like 30% of what is now, and it wouldn't matter because they simply can't be touched. It's just silly! Btw, I have a valor 100 assassin, the class has never been weak... but this discipline system simply gives you all the defensive goodies no matter what tree you were in. Seriously stupid design. I hope it doesn't take a year for them to figure out how badly they have ****ed up.
  11. 1) Force leap/Force Charge still falling short of target 18 months after bioware said they would "look into it". 2) People at bioware are still employed after ignoring this and other serious problems for such a long period of time.
  12. I find the inaction on this issue simply unbelievable, I am gob smacked. *I* could fix this if I had access to the code. How do I know that I can? It's a program. If you don't like the results, you change the program. It's not *********** rocket science. Fire your incompetent programmers and hire some graduates - clearly whoever you have fixing bugs right now is utterly useless and doesn't deserve their job. You would be better off starting over with a new person. Seriously. OVER 12 months? There is NO EXCUSE ON EARTH! You could recode the entire combat system if you had too in that amount of time and then some. Oh wait, I am assuming someone is actually looking at these issues to start with. More fool me.
  13. Wow just noticed this "we are looking into it" is over a year old? How about, I dunno, actually FIXING the problem? It only affects 1/4 of the classes in the game.... not exactly an insignificant issue....
  14. This is still happening right now and extremely often in pvp for me. It's such a problem that I consider any class with force leap on it to just be unplayable for competitive pvp.
  15. Heh, well on my sage healer, this is my observation. If a madness sin is on me, I am DEAD. Absolutely nothing I can do about it, cant even remove his dots despite the fact I'm a force user healer. Any other class/spec in game, can deal with it, at least to some extent, but madness Sin, forget it. Sustained dps is very high, with burst, insane CC, speed, stealth and dots that cant be removed? Come on, no class can have all of those things and be anything except over powered. The dots being not removable is just STUPID. Further adding to this is the fact they can simply keep (unremoveable) crushing darkness on you basically permanently, which is simply in addition to everything else. I also notice the talent numbers are WAY higher then other builds. Typically, it's spend a talent to get +1 or 2% on something. Unless your a madness sin. The tree should just be renamed to bull ****, since that is exactly what it is right now lol. I've already seen games with 5+ sins on the same team, just randomly queuing because that is what people are playing now. Welcome to new flavour of the month. Oh and btw, I might have some experience with assassins myself. Madness has always been ok. CLEARLY buffed to godlike flavour of the month status right now. Even quite bad sins do ok, anyone decent on one will simply dominate. Which brings me to my next point. Whoever added all of these talents to the class is clearly in the bad category. I'm sorry, but just don't over inflate your favourite class since you suck at your own game. No level headed impartial person could have possibly play tested that build and thought "oh, this is fine for live". What a joke.
