I've read snippets of the thread so pardon me if anything I mention has already been flogged ala dead horse. My opinion is that Disney took over the franchise and the story writing and found it to be in such a mess that they de-canonised everything until they decided what will and will not stay. If you consider all of the EU stuff it got full and hectic very quickly. I think in the coming months / years we'll see story writers sifting through a lot more of the games / books / comics to find relevant bits of lore to include and it will eventually come back to the game (as it already has in small parts through Clone Wars) but it will take time.

Agreed. It's a shame that there was nothing in this update that you like, OP. Myself, I have been extremely excited ever since they announced togruta were coming. This is one of my favorite Star Wars races and so, to me, it was a welcome addition. Might I suggest an alternate way of looking at it however? Even though there is nothing in this release that was interesting to you chances are something will come out on the back of this that will be. They have already said that togruta is their test baby for different races with differing requirements for gear and so, all being well, this sort of thing will only herald the addition of more diverse and interesting races. Hopefully one will be to your liking. I am also certain that as the game progresses we will see more strongholds in lots of different locations, which is only a good thing.

Not exactly 'too many updates'. More, updates of worth. It seems to have caused more anger than anything else.

I do think that, due to the backlash, it may have been more prudent to stop the twitter feeds and to perhaps wait a little while longer until there was some actual news to update everything. It seems as though this is being handled extremely poorly which is a shame because I'm sure most people would rather a working patch than something that breaks the game, it all comes down to how you handle it.

The story of World of Warcraft spans over years and years worth of wars. You can still go back to old areas, not updated from when they were level appropriate, and you can mail things to alts who may be in various stages of the story too. It's not hard to imagine that SWTOR will be the same. Seriously, don't panic.

It makes more sense to use only races that 'sound' similar to the baseline humans of the galaxy, otherwise every single time your character speaks through the missions it will sound odd. A wookie speaking imperial accented basic through the imperial agent story line would sound mental, as would a Voss for that matter.

Not everything can be sorted out by violence and not everything needs to be sorted out by violence. Slap idiots on ignore and move on. Reacting in such an overly exaggerated way is actually part of the problem. If people just ignored it and moved on, the people who did it would get no reaction and quickly move on.

I think it's important to actually define what you mean by cyberbullying. If it's someone who knows them personally and attacks the individual personally on something to do with their character, if they threaten them with violence in a real life setting, then that is cyberbullying and can be reported to the police to be dealt with. Someone you have never and will never meet calling you names over a game is not cyberbullying. Getting upset about it is ridiculous.
