  1. Nay. If everyone is in no danger of dying arbitrarily, I see no reason to stand around and do nothing. I've got a blaster; I'm gonna use it.
  2. Looks like a fairly reasonable amount of content, given the timeframe. I'll probably keep playing occasionally, though I expect ESO to be a major distraction.
  3. Words cannot describe my happiness at seeing some of the new sets. http://imageshack.com/a/img543/349/a5br.png
  4. Don't know if it's already been said in this thread, but the old saying still applies... If the tank dies, it's the healer's fault. If the healer dies, it's the tank's fault. If the DPS dies, it's their own fault. While a combination of the above can (and often is) be to blame, wipes tend to follow that pattern. DPS who won't interrupt make life more difficult for everyone.
  5. While I'm not overly interested in dual-wielding as a Shadow (I'd have to give up my shield generator, and that isn't happening), I would like to see single-saber wielding as an option for Shadows. And doublesabers as an option for knights. Bear in mind that several Shadow abilities are shared with Sages, so they have single-blade animations already. Kira already uses the Master Strike animation with a doublesaber, so that's already in the game now. The only Shadow animations I can think of that don't have an equivalent single-blade animation are Spinning Strike, Whirling Blow and Clairvoyant Strike, but two of those three could be swapped for their knight-equivalent attack animations (Dispatch and Cyclone Slash, respectively). Clairvoyant Strike would either need a new animation, or it'd have to borrow the Knight's throw animation. As for the knight, there would be a fair number of abilities that would have to change. Most could be replaced with similar Shadow attacks; Cyclone Slash for Whirling Blow, as previously mentioned. However, as the Shadow has fewer melee attacks (and animations) than knights, there would be some new work required here. Telekinesis, man. It's awesome. While it's something I'd very much like to see, I doubt it'd happen. Time invested for little or no reward isn't a top priority to developers.
  6. I've only had one dark-side cathar so far, and she's only Dark II. Didn't look too bad, but the darker fur colors definitely mask the effect.
  7. Just because it's possible to heal OPS with 23k HP doesn't mean you SHOULD do it. In my case, the group was willing to let me try on condition that I leave if we wiped. We didn't wipe.
  8. Of all the races to add, Cathar is definitely the one that I wanted the most. So much so that I only have Cathar characters now; I changed my last human a few months back.
  9. The Shadowlands PVP - I've seen a lot of Imps around, but I usually avoid getting flagged (Because I'm pretty well awful at PvP). PVE - TC is easy to get into, sometimes others can be pugged. FPs are usually reasonably quick. Community - There's usually at least 2 Republic Fleet instances up. While it's not always all that productive, General chat is usually quite busy.
  10. This guy seems to have the right feeling. I've pretty much stopped playing other MMOs because this one is quite simply more fun.

    Sex change

The only reason it's particularly more difficult in THIS game to change gender is because of the story. Other games do it just fine (some by a in-game fee, some by a out-of-game transaction, some by using a console code). I'm sure SWTOR is fully capable of including such a feature, but it would lead to some interesting situations (say my Knight goes from female to male, s/he'd be married to Doc, yet Doc is straight). This is, of course, assuming that the developers wouldn't bother to reset your companion affections when you gender change.
  12. Should be quite a challenge once more of the playerbase gets used to it.
  13. 1 - Knight 2 - Consular (Played it through twice now. It's quite dull at some points, but it feels very much like a Jedi should.) 3 - Smuggler (Rather entertaining, poking authority any time I can.) 4 - Trooper 5 - Inquisitor (BORING story. Only livened up a little by the Snark Knight.)
  14. It's very much practice-based. And learning what ships you can work with. I tried the Star Guard, didn't get a single medal or kill in a match. Switched to the NovaDive, and I typically end near the top of the chart on damage.
