You typically don't improve a technology if it isn't already at the top of the "best in _____" category. Most times, most people will operate with the most frequented and generalized products for the majority of the tasks at hand. As I recall, people still use dynamite to blow stuff up. If you've got money, you invest into bigger, better bombs. If you don't, use the tried-and-true. Laser guns/swords don't seem to have needed to be upgraded into anything other than what they were to begin with. Same with the hyperdrive. Just make bigger/better versions. As I recall, some species still use slug-throwers, so....guns as we know them still exist. Missiles too; and grenades.... Need I go on?

Go ahead with the story and get your companion. Easy then. Can afk, almost.

It's just mob mentality. It'll pass. Weird how people don't understand it for an MMO.... The whole concept is based around mob mentality. And making friends with people you'll never, ever meet....for little-to-no reason other than to have someone to do something with while you're paying to occupy a space. I, for one would LOOOOVE for them to bring this back. Man...it was so awesome a feature in Star Wars: Galaxies. Talk about immersing the character into his roleplay. It was genius! Now, to make it fair.... you could have the completion of a player bounty on a 1 week--> 1 month cooldown (marketing ploy). You could also have the rewards for completing a player bounty be worth experience, money, loot (PvP gear) and....a title after you accrued a certain amount of PK's... All of which smack of "awesomeness"... Anyway, decide for yourselves. Vote now!!!!

You smuggler players had to inherit that ship SOMEhow.... Maybe they'll leave him a mystery. Some folks will have claimed to have won the ship in Pazaak. Others will claim it came to a "dispute over drink tabs", etc etc.... I'd say leave it open. Will fuel the imagination of all the Star Wars geeks sure to inhabit every aspect of this game's community.... RP'ers....I canNOT wait to get in-game and make fun of these people.... God, I will grief this forum for months until they bring back player bounties....

I picked this because of the Pandas. That and Blizzard failed and made Well of Eternity a 5man? And didn't have a 3rd tier of raiding? Yeah.....that's lame. Oh, and did I mention they're re-gutting ALL their classes the most they've ever re-gutted their classes before? To be fair, they should have finished their game's storyline out with a 3rd tier of raiding (ultimate bad guy inserted), and just stepped up production of Titan. It looked like to me all the talented people got reassigned to Diablo III. THAT game looks phenomenal for revamping the tired-*** 3rd person RPG makret with F2P access online. Just....Blizzard is re-prioritizing their production due to some mysterious demographic only they have access to, and it was headed in a direction I wasn't. Nothing personal, just not my cup of tea no more.

Just googled it. Nightwish? Band I guess.... It's a good point, though. If you provide information bluntly, you'll either have a split-second of advantage from doubt/uncertainty/hesitation from the person, which you can then use to best gauge their personality. It's a good move for direct assault. Quickest thing I can think of is shock and awe; detonate a bomb near enough to an enemy to show you mean business, and they'll either surrender or....not. Hiroshima....a day that marked the ending to "total war".

Aha....dude that would explain a whole bunch, right there. Technical difficulties. Thanks for bringing it to the attention of the nerds here. For me, I wouldn't be surprised if I get the message on Dec. 19th at 11:00 PM, as I ordered this game on the 21st of November. I really have no clue why people other than the CE order folks are complaining about not getting in on the first day of early access. As far as I know, there are no traceable achievements for "world firsts" on this game. I pray to Allah they never add them. This isn't XBOX.....and those achievements don't even get you anything anyway..... Such a useless "points" system.

Don't hate, appreciate. They said "up to 7 days early". Mate, that means don't hope for anything but maybe an extra hour's head start.... You're putting a bit too much faith into something that was half-promised at the get-go. They don't have to give you anything for early access except maybe a minute. Big whoop? To be honest, it would've just been fine if they'd released at 20th, and you saw all the servers crash consistently for probably the first 2 weeks of the game, just like WoW and Everquest.... Just let them do their thing; it's like you were never a kid once and odered from a catalog. States on the order "up to X amt. of days/weeks un til delivery..." This is how queue's are done, man... You stagger the crowd so that it doesn't turn into a mob. Except, from a digital point of view, you stagger out your players and see how fast they level/collate the data/recompute another batch of early accessee's and then go off their numbers too.... Chill the heck out. Be happy if you get even an extra minute's early start. Appreciate having to actually drool over something for once. The world's gotten too damn set on this "instant gratification" bullshet. Patience....Even the dang Sith understand the importance of that one....

So GD ready to play my Palpatine. Been waiting for this for like 3 months. WoW's **** right now, so yeah...it's this until Diablo III comes out or Guild Wars 2. And if not then....Diablo III will have to hold me. That and HumbleBundle.... Keep it real, withdrawal folks. Just take a deep breath.....and hold it until you pass out. Time passes by reeeeally fast when you're not conscious to experience it.

I'd say they're doing what businesses call a "soft opening". This will prevent the beginner areas from crashing nearly all the time, due to the massive amounts of people that will be flooding the servers for the first month/or two. It's smart. Staggering out your customers to prevent misunderstandings and general mob mentality due to agoraphobia has been done by malls/retail stores/bars/themeparks/blah blah blah. You're surprised that a game that is built around Massively Manned Online matrices is doing it too? Just be calm. You should be ecstatic that they're allowing you to play even a minute early to begin with. For those that ordered CE's, would it not make sense for EA to curry to their favor as much as possible, as well? Also, folks that have pre-ordered since before midyear this past year, too? Learn to queue, mate. It's what democracy is AAAAALLLLLL about.
