  1. No. the people who purchased from 8/11/13-9/12/13 are the only group group getting coins. BW is saying "screw the subs we don't owe them anything. but hey... we'll give them a BoP title and a well worded 'thank you' via in-game mail."
  2. My first thought was people will complain about anything. My second thought was people will complain that they now have more people to play with and more people to group with for things. My third thought is you purchased it earlier and are now progressively further than the people just now getting it. My first thought was: Hey maybe they'll reward the people who give the new people advice, tips, common sense answers and are providing the backbone for the game with our actual money. My second thought was: Well, hey... at least I'm getting screwed over... again... by having spent 15$/month since launch. My third though was: I wonder how fanboys are going to rationalize this heap of garbage to defend their sand-packing master BW. then I read your comment and though... wow... fanboys are more stupid than I ever thought they could be.
  3. I rolled my first smuggler as a male, and was super pleased with Corso all the way through the entire story line, and even into the level 55 content! There's no mistaking his "YEEEHAAAW" and his remarks are always a giggle. His location observation remark on Taris is one of my favorites in the game: "Why do we always end up walking through sewers? Just once I'd like to leave a place smelling like flowers!" I enjoyed Corso so much, that I rolled a female smuggler just to see how the relationship pans out. Regarding the next companion for the 101 series, My vote for the Inquisitor is Talos. He's quirky and pro-empire, but his adventures as a part of the Reclamation Service and super inquisitive mind that is always trying to draw new connections to everything would be really fun to have expounded upon. Also, for future reference as the Inquisitor is the next up, I would vote for: Vector as a great companion to look at more deeply. He's easily one of my favorite companions in game. Blizz is another great choice! He's just so much fun, I respec'd my PT so that Blizz could tank for me. Jaesa would be my next choice in the SW line as she's the only companion whose character is dependant upon the decisions the player makes to acquire her, and I think that she'd be great to review just to side-by-side the LS and DS versions For the republic, I would like to see: Scourge His dedication to the Empire is best served as a Jedi's companion.... that should be all the motive anyone needs to want to learn more about this fascinating, Pureblood. Nadia would be a great companion to look at because she's new to The Order and to The Republic. I would like to see a bit more of her perspective from growing up (perhaps without all the dead father baggage, and more of the relationship with her dad) Akaavi For the Male smuggler, there's no doubt that she's wifey ;-) While she may seem simple enough (GRRRR MANDO GRRRRRR) her complexities come out as you get closer, and I'd like to see some of that elaborated upon. M1-4X Eaily my favorite trooper companion, I would like to see this blog APPLY OVERWHELMING FORCE to give me more of 4X. He's not your everyday droid, and his personality wasn't crafted with traditional Republic.... um... oh the word.... weakness.... no..... more tolerance. He's just not your average Republic mind with his dedication to extermination, genocide and total victory.
  4. I detest Skadge. I find that he fits in with my crew about as well as a Lego does the carpet. He's literally painful for me to be around. I have maximized all rep with all of the companions with my Bounty Hunter with the exception of Skadge. He is at somewhere near -12,000 affection. Even Gault was easier for me (a light-side, honorable Mercenary) to stomach. I must also agree that Tharan is a narcissist to an unhealthy extreme and truly, deeply annoying at times. I have found that through the entire story lines of Knight, Consular, Trooper, Smuggler, Inquisitor, Bounty Hunter, and Agent as well as through Chapter 1 of the Warrior (no I don't have a life, and yes I play too much) that I don't truly DISLIKE any except Tharan and Skadge. I am not fond of the smugglers Risha or Gus, though Corso is by far one of my favorite companions, more than making up for those two, and Spar makes for a great romance. If anyone is interested in playing with some of the most interesting and truly unique personalities the Imperial Agent does not have any unlikable companions. In my opinion Vector is one of the best developed character in the game, and Kaliyo's rough around the edges attitude makes her a fun challenge to please. For the soft-hearts there's Temple and Lokin for your strange science/words of wisdom guy. SCORPIO is fun to play because of her hatred for you. I, personally find that the IA is the best story line and has the most diverse yet awesome companion selection.
  5. I'm of the impression that BW took the concept of ambient chatter and really, really went wild with it. The Mass Effect series has the same glorious ambient chat (A woman speaking to her lover, another woman, about leaving her husband in ME3 was one of my favorites)
  6. The issue of aesthetics, particularly those of the battlemaster armor sets has been brought up before. I am not the only one who seems to miss the battlemaster sets. I was, perhaps, inadequately informed of the removal of not only the armor sets with item modifications in place, but also of the schematics, too. I was greatly upset by this as I had not made the investment to purchase each set from the Battlemaster vendor before 1.6 went live. I figured to remedy my failure on the GTN and was not surprised, though perhaps a bit upset that each schematic from the set was selling for 10-100 times the cost of the entire set from the vendor. I would make the suggestion that the armor itself not be re-introduced, but, the schematics sets could be re-released for public use. I have no intention of spending 100 million credits on the GTN for the schematics that, at one time, would have cost me 500 thousand. It simply seems that there is enough demand for the old look that to bring the schematics boxes back would be useful. I for one would craft them for many of my characters. That said, for those who worked on the development and design of those sets, I salute you!
  7. I think that Revan had it figured out the best. The Jedi and Sith castrate themselves by only using half of the force
